Government of individual countries can completely prohibit the circulation of cryptocurrencies in their country and some countries have already done so, Most recently bitcoin was completely banned in Kuwait. There, apparently, were frightened of its sharp rise in price. However, Judging by the situation with the ban on cryptocurrency in china , such a ban is ineffective, since the state can not fully control its ban. After all, there is a cryptocurrency on the internet and it's not so easy to ban it.

Governments have the liberty to ban BTC if they feel like its a threat to the national interest, they however have to be in possession of concrete evidence of the risk BTC posses, some government have so far banned BTC or managed to limit its usage

They can not actually ban it by making it unable to to be reached, but however any state in the World can perfectly make it outlaw and then sentence anyone who would be caught using it. Hopefully the fashion is more to the legalisation lately than the ban.
That's what I also feel!!

Completely banning the crypto from the market would be like boiling the ocean!! It's because we know that crypto market is totally decentralized with nobody to control, backed only by the blockchain network. Right now we do not have such high levels of technology in existence that can obstruct the blockchain network.

So, legalization is the only option the governments are left with. It has nothing to do with the work we do here. The only impact of legalization that most of us fear here in the community is imposition of taxes on bitcoin income. It is hard to believe that this is gonna happen sooner or later. we need to accept this fact ASAP!!

They can but they can't control what you do (unless you live in a real dictatorship), as you have means to mine and keep your money on international wallets, and extract in the same way, it will be impossible for you to do certain activities tho.

Bans can be placed on bitcoin if a government sees fit but that does not mean people from that country will stop using it because you cannot ban the internet so the governments are just better off putting regulations on it.

the government has the control to ban bitcoin, but the ban must have clear and factual reasons
I am sure bitcoin will continue to be accepted in all countries because of the bigger users

Government doesn't give attention to bitcoin because it is just a cryptocurrency and it really don't effect the market today. But if there citizens been scammed then government might ban bitcoin for the greater good. Government just want to help his people.

Even if they ban it they cant stop someone from using Bitcoin as it is a decentralized currency and theres no single person/organization controlling it and theres no way for government to detect if someone is using Bitcoins. Plus theres always going to be a country who will be crypto friendly.

i argue that bitcoin is stronger in a few years or day. but don't be complacent today, we don't know what is happened today or the other day. Bitcoin is not owned or controlled by any government or corporation.

Yes, government can ban bitcoin. Thus, if government evaluates the negative impact of bitcoin to its people but for now though we told ourselves that bitcoin is decentralized,we cannot assured the intervention of the government if they want to and sees something illegal.

Bitcoin is not a currency issued by any country. It can not be closed if a country wants a government. However, it can enforce laws against users.

Can prohibit non do not think that it will be done to the detriment of those who still want to participate in bitcoin. There are many exits to bypass the system.

Yep, governments cannot stop hose people who still prefers to use bitcoin anyway. It is concerning though if a government will ban bitcoin in its country because buying and selling might become more expensive and time consuming unless there are lots of people doing p2p.

They can make it very hard for you to withdraw the money from many exchanges which happened to me in my country.
If all the banks refuse your exchange's money from your bitcoins sales, that's it, you are completely stuck.

And yes governments have the power to ban anything they like as long as the public does not fight back and shows anger to the move.

To be more specific, governments can just forbid the use of Bitcoin and cut the access to bitcoin exchanges and wallets in their local area , they can not ban bitcoin since it's treated in a decentralised way ( the is no control )
Probably government can do what they want as if they have power rolling by country but, bitcoin goes out with helping people financially and earn day by day. But government can't afford to do that way so why did they make a move that can make them in trouble? Also bitcoin has a lot of bigtime investors. And it makes daily livibg easy and profitable by way of digital currency.

I do not think that this will really possible. The are many gouverments on this planet who try to censor the internet. But the problem is, there are many people who look for the challenge to bypass this censorship. So maybe the gouverments spends thousand of dollars for their ceonsor software, but the people are mostly smarter. They work the give freedom to the people, and thats why they always find a way to bypass those prohibitions. So they can try, but as long as they are good hackers available, they will never have a chance.

Any country’s  government can just make a rule to not to use Bitcoin and cut the access to bitcoin exchanges and wallets in their country but it  is not possible to band bitcoin because it’s not  controlled by any government Bitcoin network is peer to peer and fully decentralized.

Yeah government can ban bitcoin so the people in their country can not use it. But the best thing is bitcoin can use in other country where it can not be banned and it can still be used by other people.
