It is same with all equihash wallets. You need to sync the blockhain. Once you do this every time it only gets the remaining - missing parts from the blockhain.

In the Wallet you can use only Z Addresses for transactions. Z to Z
That's it. Can't get more private than that
Not even God will know what transaction has taken place
