I do not know for sure. Depends on the situation. If I'm satisfied with the price, then I sell. I do not expect a huge increase in coins.

I think you should just Invest in Bitcoins and etherum since for the long term it's very good and stable you should know that altcoins are so many in numbers that it's hard to tell that which one will fluorish and which won't also this time is great for investments in Bitcoins and etherum since the price is low .. so it's literally like icing on the cake.
Even if you are thinking of investing in altcoins I think you should follow the price if Bitcoins since most altcoins follow the pattern of Bitcoins the highs and lows.

It seems easy to just say that buy or invest when the price is low and sell it at profit. I tried to make it more complicated by integrating strategies in the process but I just realized that it is really not a rocket science after all - it is just literally buying low and selling high and when you perform it without emotions attached, then you are good to go I think.

I sell the coins, after they give me a good profit. Sometimes I sell a coin very early, and it continues to grow. It makes me sad.

For the time being you probably will not get that growth especially on Altcoin with a market capitalization above $ 1B.
But if you are a risk taker, you can choose some new releases altcoin and wait for several months.

It looks like for the past year, you seem to be benefiting if you buy the famous altcoin. But now the trend is changing, and we have to be really keen in choosing the time to buy, because that will affect how long we hold the coins before selling.

For now, I might use a slightly different approach. I buy altcoin and give the price on each coin at a price of 2 times to five times the purchase price. And just have to wait for them to be bought. Most have not reached the target yet, but I think we have not much growth in general this year.

Are you currently trading for a long time or short term? I think the profit point and stop loss point in the investment market are very important. You should give yourself a psychological price before investing. Once you buy a coin close to this price, you can sell it! There is no formula!

How will you feel you are on 350% gain and  in few hours you are on 200% loss. That's how cryptocurrency works based on the volatility. Knowing when to pull out is when you feel you have enough that you are not on lost.

There is no particular purpose of purchasing or offering alts.
What I do; In the wake of doing much research once I choose an Alt and on the off chance that I believe it, I will continue purchasing a segment if their are any plunges. This makes me agreeable and gives me a decent section.

It will be definitely depends on you that is why it is very important to have a solid plan before entering into any trade. Strategize very well and put limits and levels on your loses and gains its much better if you will be taking profit gradually.

Just wondering if ya'll have a typical formula you go by or a certain X percentage profit or loss.

I've been playing around with coins for just under a month now. $23750 total investment and currently up just under 10k in profit. One of the coins (IOTA) has gone up about 288%.  Obviously it would suck if it crashed but it would equally suck to sell if it continues to grow.

Just wondering what a lot of you folks do. I'm considering investing another 25 or 50k into coins. Ideally I'd like to net 15k a month off them but I know that may not be realistic on a monthly basis.

It would be a great time to sell our altcoins in due time. I have set an amount  on when to sell my altcoins which I am patiently waiting for. It still depends on how long could you hold your tokens and how long your patience it. You should be ready to handle your emotions upon entering trading.

If I now sell coins and get a good profit, then I immediately sell coins.  I do not like to take risks.

I sell when I see that the price of the coin is at the stage of the pamp. I fix profits and if I am sure that this coin has a future, I buy again when the price goes down.
I never sell cheap.

True, you could take profit too and leave amount that you invested in this coin cause in some more days it could come again to the moon. That tactic is also good in my opinion.

Years change, and we experience what last year did not experience, a bear market that changed many plans. Currently it is not easy to trade short-term. But if you go to a young altcoin, and are willing to pay the risk, I think 100% expect within a few months is still relevant.

I don't think anyone can tell you the best time to sell your altcoins. The best thing to do is to set profit target for yourself. For me, I do set my profit target at 40% and when I make that 40% profit I sell it off.

The crypto money world is entering 2 seasons. One is the Bear season and the other is the Taurus season.
Prices go up when they enter the bull season. Prices are falling when the bear season is entered. Do your work accordingly.

I set some sensible but what I feel achievable targets when I first start planning any investment in a coin. Yes it would be great to find something that will 10 x straight away but in reality they are very hard to find nowadays. If I am lucky enough to find such a coint I would sell around 30% of my holding to cover the initial investment and a good 2 - 300% gain and leave the remaining tokens to run free and clear. On many coins I will sell after a 20 - 30% gain, which is fantastic compared to any traditional invetment opportunities out there.

learn on the market charts about the ups and downs of prices, do not be easily carried away emotions sometimes ups and downs prices are less stable when there is a new coin that appears,
always ask the IOTA about the ongoing project. let us know the progress...

Professional traders can earn on a falling and a rising market. If you bought expensive and now the price has dropped - you just need to wait for the return of the necessary costs. Of course if you have not bought your coins in December 2017. In this case, it will have to wait long. Embarrassed
