If I immediately sell coins and get a good profit, then I do not risk and immediately sell coins.

When you overcome greed and fear, you will be invincible in the crypto world, but human nature is often greedy. When a coin has risen 10 times, but they still want 100 times, everyone has this idea. if You can overcome your greed, then you can judge when it is a good time to sell.

Me personally, I don't have any formula as to when to sell. All I do is take profits when ever I'm in profit and I try not to get too greedy because most times greed makes us lose our potential profits and turns us into bagholders. If it's in a trade, try taking out your capital first then leave the profit to run for a while and keep taking profits from it time after time.

The perfect time is obviously when the price is at its highest, however what does it mean, It is difficult to predict or to know the highest price of a coin. Sometimes, you sell and it keeps going up then you are having regrets.

I would say the best time is when you get profit which is a little bit relative because what it the term "profit" means for you is not what it means to others.

this is very difficult to know, because it is impossible to predict which limits the coins will rise and the limits on which the coins will go down, so you have to decide for yourself the percentage limit, for example you will buy a coin if it drops more than 2% - 5% and you will sell when the coin price has gone up 2% - 5% of your purchase price

I'd hold my altcoins at least untill autumn. Just relax, forget about them and wait) It's not easy to be patient when everything is falling down. Maybe if you're nervous or have money issues, make a review of your coins and sell the most useless ones. I believe that it's only the beginning and all your coins wil rise.

in any case today is not the situation to be able to sell the crypto currency. The market is in a very big fall. Perhaps to the crypto currency which today has a growth percentage, with the recovery of the market will have an even greater price.

Indeed it is.
Most people, including me, can not get the best time to sell altcoin. Many people are also regretting why after the sale of an altcoin, the price of the altcoin has been rising, regret.
This is a world class problem.
The recent IOTA, up 25,000 times.

The best time for selling altcoin when the market goes so high which u can earn very big from what you have invested.

Just wondering if ya'll have a typical formula you go by or a certain X percentage profit or loss.

I've been playing around with coins for just under a month now. $23750 total investment and currently up just under 10k in profit. One of the coins (IOTA) has gone up about 288%.  Obviously it would suck if it crashed but it would equally suck to sell if it continues to grow.

Just wondering what a lot of you folks do. I'm considering investing another 25 or 50k into coins. Ideally I'd like to net 15k a month off them but I know that may not be realistic on a monthly basis.
Well the key to become successful in this type on investment is patience because without this thing you cannot get what you want. Try to research first their previous data the for example the price how does the price of it get down and ups so that you have a prior knowledge that this time is the best time to sell my altcoin because it hits the highest price for this time compare to the previous time. Maybe by this thing it will become helpful.

It looks like for the past year, you seem to be benefiting if you buy the famous altcoin. But now the trend is changing, and we have to be really keen in choosing the time to buy, because that will affect how long we hold the coins before selling.

The best time to sell altcoins is, when it's price is going higher. And if I bought altcoin for 1$ and price has reached 5$, I would sell it. The main rule is to be patient.

In my opinion, following the current price and trying to make new predictions about the new record prices according to old prices would be useful to choose a good time to sell altcoins. On the other hand, you should be very lucky to sell at the best time.

I usually set a goal for how much I want to make, any coin that gets a 50% increase from my buying price gets my attention and i watch regularly till I feel it may drop again or just sell at the 100% margin mark and reinvest.

This is a good strategy. It may take some time but I have seen it in my eyes how coins are behaving and they are really quite surprising most of the times because one altcoin could increase its price in a very short period of time. Patience also plays a big role in successful trading.

this depends on your strategy in trading in my opinion do not be too hasty to sell if you know what you do, hold your coin and wait for the right moment to sell it.

If I hold the coins for a short term, then I immediately sell as soon as the profit is above 25-30%.  And if I hold a coin for a long term, then I expect a profit 2-3 times.

I sell off when the value rises. At the beginning of a spike , I can pull out regardless of possible future rise.
If it's a stable coin with organic growth, u just sell of at a predetermined profit limit. I can sell off and buy back at a lower price(if possible).
In case of value drop, I just hold off for as long as necessary, if the coin is dead to my judgement, I cut my losses.

I disagree that it would equally suck, because in one case you make 288% of profit, and if it crashes you not simply make small profit, you also lose whatever you had invested in it. So please, don`t be so greedy and not get mislead.

You can not know exactly how long the coin will grow.  So do not be greedy - sell part of the coins when it makes a good profit.  But do not sell all the coins, but only a part.  So you will, in any case, be with profit.
