I think its an easy thing to know when its time to sell your alts. Reason because, as a business minded being you wouldn't want to run at a loss. Which means if you invest in an altcoin when it was $5 and after some weeks the price increases to like $7 or $8, I don't think you need anybody to tell you its time to sell. But some who wish tohodl can decide to wait till the price is higher

Of course, if the current price is higher than the price when I bought altcoin, then I will sell it .

I have a plan for every project I invest in.once the profit percentage increase hit a certain level, I take my capital back and chill, then afterwards if it increases again, I take profit and diversify and I alsol put a stop loss to keep portfolio in check.

Well, the market has changed a lot not in august 2018, so much that I think that once I get a little bit of profit from the altcoins I am going to sell them and invest the money on some other mainstream currencies, the altcoin market is terrible at the moment.

There are many indicators that we can use as tools to analyze the market so that we can predict the right timing to buy or sell a coin. Take advantage of it as much as possible, do not be affected by FOMO or be affected by mass hysteria. You also have to understand the timeframe of the movement of coins that you have so that you can determine the exact selling position.

If i am not having enough profit, say between 30% to 100%, i do not sell. There are even times i sell and buy back at low price before selling again. I have so many altcoins i am hodling and that i am yet to sell.

You are the one who can decide when to sell your altcoins, you will consider your target profit on selling it. Once you achieve it that is the time to sell it. In times of price falls, you need to consider the loss you want to minimize before disposing it.

As for me the best time to sell my coin depends on how badly I'm in needs of money. Either high or low rate.

IMO, you should have a close monitoring on them and keep updated on the latest news specially to the team behind it. Be part of the community too because the through them and their feedbacks, you can say whether that token is still kicking or already dying and it's a good time to decide already whether you're going to sell or hold still with it.

When the price of altcoins is higher and satisfies my preferences, I know that I will get more profit and sell it . If the market turns red, of course, it is worth keeping .

You should set your targets before you even start buying a coin. I have 50% profits target, 100% and more. For example: I sell 30% of my holdings at 50% profit point and sell the rest at 100% profit point. That way i will not get too greedy when the price pumps and dumps.

If you trust the project, and you want to survive for the long term, why bother? If your plan doesn't last long, and you don't have a sales strategy, you can sell now. If the accident is imminent, and you can read the graph, then you don't have to sell now and pay close attention to that moment if the bull continues, otherwise you have made some good profits now, so you are still good even if you sell and continue walk.

I think its like each time the cost of any coin will increase with a high speed then observed that it is value as soon as actually pass down so try to promote whenever the fee is increasing with high speed.

There will be the most suitable time when our common prices will increase for few times I am sure that the first small step to this increasing has been done.

Yes, I think the altcoin is cyclical and dumped. If you have already made a good profit on this project, then I suggest that it is sold quickly because it is not bitcoin and it is likely to be dumped immediately.

Experienced traders and users usually say that each coin/token would have a decent pump, even the worthless and weakest one. You just need to be quick and fully ready. For more quality assets there could be several rises so you just manage your yield by yourself. And of course such assets should have a history to track it's all time highs. If it is a fresh token from ICO and I see no real future for the project I would sell as soon as the price hits ICO price without bonuses.

I do not sell tokens just like that. I'm all tied up on how much I want to get from this token based on the price from the ICO, I'm not greedy, so I only have x3 or x4 from the ICO price. So I do not sell cheap.

If I hold a coin for a short term, I usually wait for the market to recover completely and then sell the coins.

Just wondering if ya'll have a typical formula you go by or a certain X percentage profit or loss.
I've been playing around with coins for just under a month now. $23750 total investment and currently up just under 10k in profit. One of the coins (IOTA) has gone up about 288%. Obviously it would suck if it crashed but it would equally suck to sell if it continues to grow.
Just wondering what a lot of you folks do. I'm considering investing another 25 or 50k into coins. Ideally I'd like to net 15k a month off them but I know that may not be realistic on a monthly basis.
When you hold the coins and the price of these coins has increased significantly, I advise you not to be greedy, because you can lose a good profit.

When we invest in the coins that time we have a target point .When we reach that point that was the right time to sell the coin.May be it takes time but at the end of the year investors are always in profit.
