This is the decision we make if the price of our coins is rising or falling, it depends on our decision to decide if we are satisfied with the price we gain. There is no loss if we sell it, just make sure you gain from it rather than dump your coin at a lowest price. finding a average price to sell the altcoins according to the roadmap.

I think if you are day trader its great to know all sources of pumps like news, roadmap and sell after some events because there might be no pumps in near future.

This is strictly based on trend analysis. In my own case, I try to analyse the market to see if the coin I'm holding has been overbought. Once I see it is already overbought or it has crossed my overbought line, I sell of immediately. I use indicators like MACD and RSI for this.

Any time your altcoins make gain, it's time to sell, for me what i normally do is that, any time my coins make gain, I will move it to exchanges and set sell order a little below the price, as the market keeps going up, I keeps on adjusting

In the crypto currency market, you need to study the data on tokens. For example, the price, as the prices for them fall and rise, so you understand that this time it is better to sell or invest. Roll Eyes

Just wondering if ya'll have a typical formula you go by or a certain X percentage profit or loss.

I've been playing around with coins for just under a month now. $23750 total investment and currently up just under 10k in profit. One of the coins (IOTA) has gone up about 288%.  Obviously it would suck if it crashed but it would equally suck to sell if it continues to grow.

Just wondering what a lot of you folks do. I'm considering investing another 25 or 50k into coins. Ideally I'd like to net 15k a month off them but I know that may not be realistic on a monthly basis.
I think it's hard to tell, it can be assessed only on a case by case basis. I usually set a target price as an exit point where I sell the coin. When the coin reaches the target price, I sell. It differs depending on the coin. The problem is to predict the target price, and it's not easy.

I rely mainly on the forecasts of the selected crypto currency. I expect every detail. I spend the analysis. I think when and how best to do. And then the favorable time for various operations is drawn for me.

I think the right time to sell any coin is when you are making some profit. Never sell any coin for a loss. Keep in mind that you can't predict future and you should never regret your selling decision. Be happy with all the profits you make and never regret for any potential profits you could make.
Another thing that you should keep in your mind is always sell your coins in batches and never sell all your coins in one go. By doing this you have a higher chance of making good profits.

It all depends on the individual. some can not see altcoin falling dratis and some are not so concerned with its altcoin asset so hold for long term it's okay. but I myself prefer holding when the price is more than the price of ICO or better still if the price continues to rise and hold continue with the preparation of selling as well.

Personally, I analyze the market of crypto coins. And then when the market price grows and the profit is already good enough for me, I sell my tokens

Long-term investments are the most profitable. Now is a good time to buy crypto-currencies. It is best to just invest in good projects. It is more interesting and profitable. I try not to sell my crypto-currencies and just wait. In the future, many of them will cost more, so you do not need to sell them.

The Right Time I think when I buy it at a cheap price and if the price has risen to more than 50% of the initial price, I think I will sell it, and of course it all depends on the market and the situation too. sometimes the coin can also rise very fast, even it can increase a little, all back to you, if the increase is already profitable for you, you can sell it. thank you

I don't think there is a particular formula to sell your coins. You just have to consider the market conditions if selling them will favor you and fetch you some profit.

I know that it's time to sell coins is a long drop in the market and lack of information about the development of the project.

I prefer to limit myself to lower percentages of daily earning, something like 2 or 3 percent maximum, it has shown results before, though it isn't the most efficient of methods, in terms of making big quatities of money, but if you have high amounts to invest I recommend lowering the goals you have in order to avoid getting greedy.

When I started investing in crypto currency back then I just invest in coins anytime and sell them off anytime but I later discovered that, that is not the best way to do business now I would invest when the market is down because I would buy at a lower price during that time and sell them when the market is recovering or full recover back to its normal price.

I think the right time to sell a altcoin is when it has reach your desire level of gain and you are at least making some gain out of it and not at lost
I agree. It doesn't make sense to panic sell when the price isn't right for you to make a profit. I hold good coins and trade in cheaper ones for profit. It's had to tell when to sell but with practice you can do it.

To know if it is time to sell your altcioins, you will need to be following any alternate coin you possess and follow their telegram channel to know whether they are listed in an exchange or not. If they are listed on exchange ensure you follow it on the exchange. When ever there is a sign of green or increase in the price or the price is higher than the purchase price, that is the time to sell

I sell the altcoin money by observing its increase. If the altcoin I hold does not reach the profit point I want, then I will not sell them, even if they die!
