I've set a maximum value for every altcoin which I have. And when the coin price reaches the price I set, I'm selling that coin. Until then, I continue to holding my coins.

it's important not to be greedy, it's only with experience that you can learn to do. I think that it is worthwhile to set a framework for a minimally convenient price for selling coins, or optimal. And sell the coin when it reaches these "frames" And fix profits, withdraw from the "game" extracted

February 2018 Well depends on the project. Only a few of them are worth holding long-term and have a future, Binance Coin and 0x Project are for sure amongst them.

I try to keep statistics and analysis constantly. It helps me a lot. I almost certainly know my time for investment and for sale. But not 100%. It is impossible to know exactly. Crypto currency is unpredictable. And to calculate everything to the smallest detail is almost impossible.

in this market, i shoot for a few % in typical swings. if i see a pump my first target is typically 25%, then 40%, depending on the coin. some coins that have pumped big in the past i'll see if it can do 100% or sell when i see weakness

I'm starting to sell my altcoyines when the rabid growth goes and my investments increase by at least 100%. I keep a part of the altcoys and wait when there will be an increase of 500% and a part by 1000%. This is my formula.

Just wondering if ya'll have a typical formula you go by or a certain X percentage profit or loss.
I've been playing around with coins for just under a month now. $23750 total investment and currently up just under 10k in profit. One of the coins (IOTA) has gone up about 288%. Obviously it would suck if it crashed but it would equally suck to sell if it continues to grow.
Just wondering what a lot of you folks do. I'm considering investing another 25 or 50k into coins. Ideally I'd like to net 15k a month off them but I know that may not be realistic on a monthly basis.
I just simply say that when i will get a good profit from any tokens i must sell it. I may do trade with that token after my profit that i can buy that same tokens with lower price and can sell it again. I can compare its price with ICO price and previous price of market. So comparing with total supply of that tokens and present profit will help me to sell any altcoin in market.

There is no formula for that. I just look at the market price, if it's good (above the original price) which means i already gain profits, i could sell it or keep it for higher price. But if it's bad (below the original price) which means i already lost profits, i could just sell it so i don't lose more money or if it's not too much i could just keep it until the price get better.

If i spotted that the market is obtaining worse by the day and no thanks to rise for such coin i quickly sale to avoid loss. although the market is thus unpredictable, these days the coin could fall thus badly however consecutive day rise on the far side expectation. in such scenario i divide the coin into 2 components, sale one half and leave one half so but it clad i wont regret most.

When you overcome greed and fear, you will be invincible in the crypto world, but human nature is often greedy. When a coin has risen 10 times, but they still want 100 times, everyone has this idea. if You can overcome your greed, then you can judge when it is a good time to sell.

Sometimes checking the movement of an alt coin in the chart gives me a hint to sell my alt coins, sometimes there is a pattern when to sell for example Banca, Before they release the weekly updates price usually pumping hard and then the day of the release price starts going down again. So i am selling my tokens before the day they release the new updates or announcement.

The time when you understand that you have enough is very difficult to understand, because everything will depend only on your greed, it’s difficult for a person, because cryptocurrency is based on that.

I sell my altcoins when the price jumps as much as possible. This is a very important point you need to be very careful with it. You have to be very experienced in order to feel this moment.

If you have altcoins, I think you should know that it is almost impossible to buy or sell a coin at the perfect price. Thus, I think you should always try your best, instead of always trading with big hesitations.

I sell altcoins when growth goes from 2 months or more. Then it is best to sell because after such a long growth usually follows a strong drop in the entire market as it was before

Indeed, the current market is difficult to predict, I think, don't be too hasty to sell your coins if you know what you are doing. If the accident is imminent, and you can read the graph, then you don't have to sell now and pay attention until the market returns high

I plan to sell the coin at certain price levels, as soon as the coin reaches the price planned, I'll sell a piece or all of the coins.
For me too, each coin has a target price, and as soon as the coin reaches this price, I will sell. I am getting bored of this bearish market and waiting for the opportunity to sell my coins and forget I ever was in this mess of the cryptomarket.

I am actually not a greedy type so once I make at least 20% profit on any altcoin am holding, I just decide to sell 70% of the coin and keep 30% as my investment for future if the coin have potential to grow.

Numbers don't lie! I take profit as soon as I see them unless of course if I am hoping for bigger profit would be the only time I will wait and postpone profit taking. I set profit target before entry and that give clear view of things!
