Greetings! I am planning to invest $5,000 in cryptocurrency but I do not know how to invest. And where should I invest? - in Bitcoin, in alternate cryptocurrency, or in ICO? I’m asking for an investment strategy for professional traders or investors out there.
The best thing you should do is diversify your investment, never invest in a single currency. First of all make your own research before investing in crytocurrency because they are many ways to invest and earn from it. If you can wait for long term then I suggest to invest on bitcoin and ethereum, if you want to have a fast source of income then learn how day trade. But day trading is very risky so make sure to learn it properly.

First of all, you should learn more about the BTC, cryptocurrencies, ICO. After you feel you’ve acquired some basic education it’s time to answer this question - what is better investment strategy. Remember – only you can answer this. You can consult others and read online but never follow someone’s advice blindly.
If you ask my opinion, you should invest half of your money into BTC and other half into altcoins, more than 3. Which of them, you will know when you get some info about cryptocurrency and so you will have some analysis. Good luck!

Taking a risk is a part of investment because you don't have an assurance if you earn or not no i suggest to you that before you invest that big amount of money make it sure always that coin you invest was not a scammer and i suggest also for the additional knowledge that conduct more research and read some article when and where is the best to invest to make it sure that you can earn. |

I suggest used that amount to buy bitcoin then hold it for long term investment because in the future bitcoin price will be more valuable than the other crypto if you want to earn more alts may you just need to join in bounty program then pick a good ICO project after collecting those rewards you you can start trading or maybe used it to buy more bitcoin. |

Before investing understand first what cryptocurrency is, what is bitcoin, what are the different cryptocurencies. Be sure to understand what you are investing in. Here are the steps in investing:
1. Open up an account in popular exchanges like coinbase.
2. Invest in small amount.
3. Buy Bitcoin or other cryptocurrency.
4. Research and continue educating yourself
5. Talk to people who are experts, to different individuals who have invested in cryptocurrencies. You can also join groups like facebook.
6. Allocate/divide your investment in different cryptocurrencies by taking baby steps.

My own strategy in investing is to buy prospected cryptocurrency which is cheaper in price and hold it for long term and sell once the target price achieved. |

this is your choice, every investment has different strategies.
Some people only invest in Bitcoin alone. They collect a lot of Bitcoin and hold it for the long term. Some make short-term trades where they will use altcoin at a cheaper price and will soon sell it if there is a recent increase. Another strategy is to use a different altcoin and hold it also for the long term. I think you need to search first what you invest.

If that's how bad your budget is, it's better to spread it. You buy different longterm and midterm altcoins. With the ICO you can buy the money money back then and your security is not certain, sometimes ICO most of all SCAM.

Like what happen In early December last year, Its heading into $20,000 and know one could expect that value to reach In the marktet bitcoin history. My strategy is simple to invest in not one coin! Because you do not know what will happen, but one of the three jumps.
As the poster says you are looking into the three jumps and in order to maximise the investing you need to put as much as possible into the bitcoins because less hodl means less money. |

Each coin is quickly recovering now so the very least advise that I can say is take a closer look all the time to bitcoin.
If you have the chance to buy, just buy it if you think that it's the most awaited moment of your time and you are waiting for the dip, buy it. Don't waste any time before it's too late.

An investment strategy is to apply Markowitz (Modern Portfolio Theory) to a list of cryptocurrencies for the purpose of decreasing idiosyncratic risk.
My investment strategy is to choose and buy prospect coin which is cheaper price and hold for long term and wait for the market price to increase. it's true I also like that if you want to invest better looking for coins that have great potential such as bitcoin, ethereum and other coins that have a very good potential. |

If you are really serious in investing i suggest that you buy a mining rig and do some research so that you will Know what you are in for. Then after you setup your mining rig tye rest buy bitcoin. Now is the perfect time to buy bitcoin as the price is still low |

I will advice that you share your capital into three parts. Buy and hold Bitcoins with $2000 and invest about $2000 in the following altcoins but you can do your own independent due diligent before investing in them (1) BAX, TRX STK and Minexcoin. Then the remaining amount you can invest in some ICO you have research on. Good luck.

if I am allowed to advise you, you should invest in Bitcoin and Altcoin. this is safer. because of the 70% Token Tokens upon release in the market, the price will fall 3-10x from the ICO price. unless you get 100% real information about a successful ICO project. Bitcoin and Altcoin (ethereum, LTC, ADA, DASH) still have a good future for long-term investments. you just have to buy and hold for a long term. and don't look at daily prices. because it will make your focus disturbed.
