when i first read it, i thought you were indicating that Lafu is darkstar's alt, but i ignored that theory, so perhaps you wanna be more direct

DarkStar_ = DarkStar_alt = Tomatocage = Tomatocage1 = hilariousandco = hilariousetc

Because we all have our alt account on our trust lists. Duh.

@Timelord - please stop ignoring my post and provide a response rather than deflecting and avoiding.

I never said that - what I did say however is that two alts BOTH gave Lafu DT trust.

DarkStar_alt has 7 merits earned, giving it a whopping 0 votes on the 10 merit level and 0 votes on the 250 merit level. This does literally nothing.

Again, can you stop avoiding my request and answer it?

I'm not avoiding anything, your childish images say a lot about how you are deflecting attention away from your own situation.

Quote from another topic:
It's the same with DarkStar_alt - suchmoon only has to give it one four point merit and it ( DarkStar_alt ) has voting rights.
Now I get what you mean. You mean a hostile takeover of DT1.
But Lafu is already on DT1, currently included by 12 other DT1s, and excluded by 1. His Ranking:
Code:
28. Lafu (409 Merit earned) is included by 15 users with 250+ earned Merit and 13 users with 10-249 earned Merit.
Even if DS' alt would get more Merit, his vote doesn't matter to Lafu.

Lafu's inclusions:
Quote
Trust list for: Lafu (409 Merit earned) (Trust feedback) (Trust list) (BPIP) (created 2019-02-23_Sat_05.10h)
Back to index

Lafu is Trusted by:
1. qwk (815 Merit earned) (Trust feedback) (Trust list) (BPIP)

This also makes sense:
re: Lafu - at one point I wanted Lafu's trust ratings to show up by default for me, but did not want to vote for them as their trust list was bad. I've removed them from my alt's trust list now (not that it matters - with 7 earned merits, that account has zero voting power)
And it explains why Lafu ended up on both trust lists, which isn't necessary anymore since Lafu is DT1 already.

However, if a ring of alts would manage to earn enough Merit to vote themselves to DT1, I'm pretty sure that's the point where theymos steps in and excludes them.

@LoyceV

Now that you've had time to understand the problem, let's get back to the issue at hand, is it ok for two alts to give DT trust to a UID?

I'm torn between sides: on the one hand, it would be very convenient to have the same trust list on an alt as on one's main account. On the other hand, it shouldn't influence voting.

I think it's safe to assume DS didn't have any bad intentions. As far as I can see, this inclusion may have been from before the DT-changes.
A very simple fix would be to remove Lafu from DarkStar_alt's trust.

Here's another case:
Quote
Trust list for: achow101_alt (0 Merit earned) (Trust feedback) (Trust list) (BPIP) (created 2019-02-23_Sat_05.10h)
Back to index

achow101_alt Trusts:
1. achow101 (1086 Merit earned) (Trust feedback) (Trust list) (BPIP)
I think it makes sense to want to see your own trust ratings. For the record: achow101_alt hasn't been online in over a year.

I don't worry about these cases. If it ever comes to it, theymos can blacklist abusers.

Done yesterday.

Okay, that link still doesn't answer: (and continuously calling me childish without answer is avoiding and using ad hominem)

Please explain how adding my alt to DT2 to allow a single neutral on my own account to show up by default is abuse. At least I gave a response instead of deflecting.

Possibility of abuse != abuse. DarkStar_alt's inclusions were before I was DT1 and I rarely use the account so I forgot about it. When/if I abuse it, you're welcome to call be out on it, get me banned from DT1, etc. But until then, I don't see the issue. This doesn't set precedent either.

when 3 people understand the same thing, it only makes sense that the problem is with  " what is written".

so what agenda's could i possibly have when  i have nothing to do with any one mentioned here? you are doing too much "investigations" and seems like you starting to doubt everything and everyone.

but again, if this topic is Alts related, where does trust list fit in? perhaps you should start a new dedicated topic or post it in the trust system thread?

Possibility of abuse != abuse. DarkStar_alt's inclusions were before I was DT1 and I rarely use the account so I forgot about it.
One way to make someones trust feedback visible without directly adding them to your trust network for whatever reason you have is to create alt account, add alt account to your trust network and then add accounts to trust network of your alt account (I posted this somewhere in some other thread).
I don't see this as abuse.

At the same time DarkStar_ excluded Lafu from their trust network http://loyce.club/trust/2019-01-25_Fri_22.33h/507936.html and included them using alt account which can't vote anyway. Lafu was actually excluded, not included.

Theymos mention something about abusing trust system:
Quote
Unlike the previous policy, I will not generally be trying to cultivate a good list; that will be left to the DT1 members themselves. However, I reserve the right to remove you and blacklist you from future selection if you engage in egregious and obvious abuse, or if multiple known alt accounts could be selected.
And, as I can see, DarkStar_alt hasn't changed trust list http://loyce.club/trust/2019-02-23_Sat_05.10h/862062.html since then, can't be in DT1 because it doesn't match these rules https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5095156.0 and can't vote because lack of merits, so having Lafu in trust network won't make any difference at all.

So why this witch hunt @Timelord?

Thanks for taking the time to give an honest opinion - just a thought bubble (doesn't need answering) what happens if the alt isn't as obvious as having the word "alt" tagged onto the end of the user name?

Perhaps, you're right, what I actually said was:

Perhaps from now on you should refrain from trimming down my reply to give the illusion it has a different context...

I am eager to know which part is not true.

First statement

Hmm. Interesting. Now there's three people who have all misread my post.

if we all got you wrong, then really something is seriously wrong with the way you express yourself. what is so "sham" about this?   Huh

Second statement

Quote
so what agenda's could i possibly have when  i have nothing to do with any one mentioned here? you are doing too much "investigations" and seems like you starting to doubt everything and everyone.

is up to you to answer, you accused me for having some sort of agenda, it's a false accusation, unless you could prove it. so what agenda do you think i have ?

Third statement.

Quote
but again, if this topic is Alts related, where does trust list fit in? perhaps you should start a new dedicated topic or post it in the trust system thread?

provided that you are not stating that Lafu is darkstar's alt then the above statement is correct, this is a default system related, where and how does it fit here ? Huh

Hmm angry kidding yelling "no you didn't!" syndrome...

Perhaps, you're right, what I actually said was:

The guy who wants us to distrust him (without explanation) is pondering if those around him are paranoid?
Perhaps from now on you should refrain from trimming down my reply to give the illusion it has a different context...
This is very bad attempt to lead conversation in different dirrection.

May I remind you that you stated that DT member is abusing trust with alt account.

As you ignored some facts posted on previous page, post which you are looking for is this one:
Please explain how adding my alt to DT2 to allow a single neutral on my own account to show up by default is abuse.

3 Accounts Connected: wilburwilbur , 77kdub and ChatBotv2

This thread was started by a newbie (his 2nd post) and wilburwilbur +11 merited that post.

On 21st February, a new Bonus campaign was started by Steve (manager of Stake.com's signature campaign) to promote quality posts.
More details here

Seeing this, wilburwilbur "decided" to use his alt account to gain the 2x bonus by transferring merit to his account in a Gambling section post.

As per https://bpip.org/profile.aspx?p=ChatBotv2 the account was active more than a year ago before this post. This certainly shows that it was a bad attempt to cheat the bonus campaign and merit abuse. I'd like the authorities to take suitable action against this.

First post of ChatBotv2 was on [Free 0.0005] Stake.com - Simply play 5 games! just around 90 seconds after the account was created. This is sufficient proof that account is an alt farmed/created to cheat giveaways and bonuses.

The interesting thing is, the same address was used by a hero member account 77kdub here.

Above linking confirms that the account wilburwilbur is an alt of 77kdub as they both use the same BTC address.

This takes us to the trust ratings of the 77kdub which says

Trust Rating by nullius
Code:
"Merit abuse. Sent +10 to known account seller #1800324 “CasinoExpert” for a post here quoted in full:

“yo solo 1 vez al dia”

This, plus another similar +10 from another user, permitted “CasinoExpert” to accrue 10 sMerit and thus raise #1644102 “HumberWins” to Member rank. Details at reference link.

This feedback is made consistently with my trust feedback policy:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3009256.0"

It looks like a similar merit abuse which was done by the same owner in the past here. And he has been doing this from much time now.

Accusation Link by nullius:
Humber*, CasinoExpert, et al.: Alts, account sales, merit abuse, etc.

As per I see an alt account of an red-trusted member should have a red trust rating to warn about the risk of trading.
