Cool project Cheato! Successfully mined some coins on the testnet pool, and like your level of active engagement. I spent a bit of time brainstorming on a name and the best I have come up with is "dagger".  (keyword "dag" and also known as a fast, sharp weapon).

I grabbed daggercoin.org - happy to xfer for free if wanted.

Hey I kinda like Dagger - I'm usually good at brainstorming names as well - will dedicate some brainpower to think.

also @Cheato have you given any thought to adding privacy features to this coin?  One thing everyone is going crazy over is a possible dag coin with privacy features i.e. Monero or Zksnark.  Someone posted a thread called Stone suggesting something similar but we're almost sure the  'dev' who put the thread up was just searching for free donations.

Either way, it created a ton of excitement and a lot of people seemed interested. Curious to know your thoughts...(if this was brought up earlier in the thread I apologize)

Sorry, but Cheatcoin sounds like a bad joke to me, I would consider rebranding.
Is this coin better in any way than RaiBlocks?
Why its not asic proof if its mineable coin?
How much are tx fees, How many tx/s can it support?

I just helped my coworker to mine this coin on linux.
Sorry I'm not very knowledgeable on linux but I cloned your github repo and when I google "how to update a cloned github repo" the instructions are out of date and don't work with your repo.
If you could please explain with some pictures or link for the next time you do an update I would really appreciate it.
Or even someone else.
I swore to never use windows again after Elop the windows troll destroyed Nokia phones unit.

My thoughts on the monero - their emblem is reminiscent of a tooth from the Kremlin wall in Moscow. As for Zcash, the zec is a prisoner in Russian. So I think that behind all this "privacy" is someone's smart hand. It's like the Kaspersky virus. As for the Stone - it's not interesting to me, I do not see it on the coinmarketcap, and I can not say anything. But nevertheless, I would recommend more to participate in that project than in mine. If a person promises a lot, then you can ask him to do at least part of what he promises. My project is not for the market at all, but just for the sake of interest.
Well said, is there an API available that can be used to interact with the node?

looking really good
I have a few questions....
when qt wallet comes out, will we be able to just transfer wallet.dat to maintain addresses and balances etc?
is there currently a way to monitor our hash rate and network hash rate....or is it just "shares" for now?
not quite sure I understand the keys (0,1,2...etc)...are these supposed to be the private keys to each generated address?

The wallet will not be based on Qt, but on the MS Visual Studio. I'm doing it now, maybe tomorrow will come out. Yes, of course, the files wallet.dat and dnet_key.dat can simply be transferred from one directory to another, and the address and password will be preserved. The hash rate is now counted very roughly and is displayed in the stats command for full nodes and pools. Stats is not transmitted yet to miners but should be in future.

If you make a transfer from your address, then your public key published. If you do not want to keep money at address whose public key is known, then you can use the keygen command to create another private key and then transfer the balance to another address corresponding to the new key. This feature is not yet available to the miners, but only to full nodes. For now miners have one key and one address.
Interesting. Sounds complicated a bit but will try to cheatmine a bit tomorrow. Happy cheating to everyone.

As a programmer am even confused, maybe i have to study it more

so my pool ist already set up.

Is ist poosible to start up the pool prior mainnet starts, cause i wont be at home tonight? can i already start a miner to connect on another pool right now, will it start working automatical when mainnet goes life?
Are any further porgram-updates planned prior the launch tonight?
Is there already a list of working pools for mainnet so the load can be more ballanced?

Pool will be

109.90.229.170:35585     900 1% 2% 5% is the current setup to reward the finder and the direct participants a little more

did you do a loadtest for connected miners? Whats a "normal" number for Win 10 Pro? currently running the pool on one of my mining machines, so not a powerful CPU in it, dont want to crash the machine due to overload from connected miners.

Interesting, but you need to work on the website design. Needs a better layout and more information.

when you carefully read the thread you would know that mainnet will start tonight, so no one could mine up to now...

i see on net hosts so many old (outdated) programm-versions,
Suggestion to dev: implement a version check and refuse connection of outdated clients / fullnodes.
