How much do i need to start trading altcoins. I would like to know what would be the ideal number.

Thanks!
there is no such thing as how much you should start, just invest how much is your extra money, or the amount you can afford to lose, because trading altcoins is also risky, so you must be very careful when investing.

Invest how much you can afford to lose because this trading is probablity game where we must be ready for both possibility, loss or profit are both normal so dont cry if you are loss and dont be too happy if you are profit because the time is not stoping till today.

we cannot suggest the op that  any amount will do or as long as he can afford it ( to loose or not ) because trading in crypto market will require a trading fee and as well as transaction fee whenever we transafer any coins thru an online exchnage. now if the op only can only afford 0.005 or lower than that

amount, for sure this amount is only enough for the transaction fee and trading fee. op cant possibly earn an income because the fees will always be bigger than his starting capital , thats why we should give him an apropriate amount in order to start trading succesfully.

The number one rule to high risk investment, and crypto is very definitely still in that category, is... Only invest an amount you can afford to lose.

Yes this is the same rule as gambling, and with crypto still in its infancy, and with such a highly deregulated market subject to scams and PnD groups, it is still a gamble, IMHO.

That said, I'm a huge fan of crypto and have invested heavily (at least in terms of the funds I have available), and I try;ly believe it will become the dominate currency group within the next 10-20 years and fiat currencies will be the smaller child, so to speak.

While some platform set its limits for minimum deposit or cash in’s there is no definite amount to start with. Some says start woth 500 to 1000usd the logic of it is it will hive you a good leverage to invest in several currencies that way should one coin drops you still have a fee to watch out for. But again I suggest to start with the amount that your comfortable with and that your willing to loose.

it depends how much money you can afford to lose. investing your money is like gambling, you will gain profit or lose i cannot tell how much will you start, it your decision but for me invest an extra money only. crypto is risky when it comes to trading you need more technique.

Well, when I was a nubie, I start it with a small amount. Approximately around 50$.
You can do the same if you want. But I suggest you use your secondary money, not the main income. Because nowadays, the market is hard to predict.

It really depends on how you can afford and let it standby for a long time. Do not invest money in which you might need because you might be needing your money and then the price is down (like currently), you'll be in a loss. Do it like your saving for the future, in that case you will not worry even if the prices drop.

Don't go into trading when you're not very good at it. Don't waste time and end up losing money. Learn it first before getting involve in trading. Ask how much you will start after you ask how to start it. Trading needs skills. Good luck mate.

Before you start ico, try to participate in bounty campaigns because you do not need any investment or withdraw money because you will receive rewards through campaign or your effort.

I think if you can do a small amount, it also does not matter too, since you are with a small capital you will get a small profit too. for me if you want to get bigger profit faster, you can make a big amount of investment, so it will be easier to earn money.

If you want to invest in altcoins, then in my opinion you can devote a maximum of 5% of your wealth (provided Bitcoin holdings doesn't amount to more than 5%). The total crypto holdings should not be more than 10% of your portfolio.

Start with as much as you can. But you must understand that investment is a risk. Therefore knowing what you are doing will give you advantage as it will give you a open mind understand things and to develop yourself more. If you do you're research and have patience you can make some nice profit this way.

It is important to take the possible risks into consideration when thinking how much money to invest. This is risky and volatile market and if you are not risk tolerant you better not invest. The general rule is to invest money you can afford to lose.Good luck in cryptoworld my friend.I think there is a lot of things coming in future in this sphere, profit or not,but it will be interesting for sure.

In this matter, you need to proceed from your capabilities.  Now the price of bitcoin and other crypto-currencies has fallen, then in order to form a small portfolio of Crypto-currency is enough $ 1000 (in my opinion).  This is a small amount, but sufficient to enable you to get the first profit

I don't think it's important. If you only have a few hundred dollars, you can participate in bitcoin transactions, but then your profits will be lower, and it's better to start with a few thousand dollars.

Start with what you can afford. No need to rush; set your goal for a year and a half or two. I start with $200 USD and added small amounts little by little. I’m quite satisfied with my gains currently. Best to think more about which projects are good rather than the dollar amount to invest.

A $100 would be a very good start. It should be an experimentation first and that money will become your deciding factor whether trading suits you or not. Just don't start with a lot of money.

it would be better to do everything from small things first, because everything is very risky. I think the trade is very very loss because almost all the coins in a state of falls.

It is not an ideal number to start with the crypto. I always want to suggest you all investors and potential investors investing in the cryptocurrencies only the money that you can afford, and it does not affect you with your daily life for lack of money even if you have to hodl for long or you lose it by any circumstance. So invest only the money you can afford.

That's advisable, when you enter in the crypto market, don't expect you will easily understand and get the success.
Be humble to learn and accept your mistakes and take this a long term journey that you have to go through a process to grow, eventually you'll get the right timing.

No perfect number. Invest an amount that will not hurt you financially, even if you lose the entire amount. Although we all hope for the best and want to make a profit.
