There are traders that are saying that the price of bitcoin might go down lower than 10k level of its price and if you will believe to them then it is the best time to sell some bitcoin and wait for the price to reach to that level and you can just buy some bitcoin and hold it for long term and wait for the price to pump to sell.

Do not ever believe in whatever anyone is saying. Every trader try as much as possible to predict and then look forward to some of the things that may happen but that does not necessarily mean they will happen. So far, bitcoin can choose to go in any direction and as long as you are holding for the long run, you should not even bother cashing out.

Bitcoin has strong base and support level and for it to get to $10,000 would really be something that could be possible but with low chances.

Agreed. The price may be stalling right now, but we are sure that this will not be the case because bitcoin can really surge ahead in the next couple of days or months so better HOLD on our dear bitcoins.

We have seen a lot of individuals here who have regretted their decisions to sell their bitcoin because the price is going down. But for more experienced members here, they are buying instead of selling when their is a dip.

Selling bitcoin now depends on what are you going to spend that money . If it's for urgent personal business or for investing in rising cryptos such as Ripple (xrp ) or Iota (Miota) then go for it . If it's just for gambling or a fancy wine bottle over new year's dinner than i don't think it's worth it since you'll be loosing the potential value that your coins could reach , and it's really going to grow !
People speculate that bitcoin will at least triple in value by 2018 end , and since it has managed to reach a x20 just in 2017 , that tripling thing doesn't seem unlikely to happen in my opinion .

I feel anyone who would rather be cashing out now, should rather be doing it for an offline business except there is just a huge dire need to spend the money on something very necessary. Do you think it will be the best time to sell as there are two kind of speculations one says the value of bitcoin will reach $20,000 by 2018 and there are also speculations that the bitcoin might go through a dump in upcoming days but i know we cannot believe into random predictions by random users due to the volatility of bitcoin but i need some suggestions whether to hold on to bitcoin or sell it out and invest some of it into altcoins and then wait for the price drop to reinvest into bitcoin which i am not sure will happen or not.

At current situation it is not advisable to sell bitcoin because bitcoin started recovering from the recent market correction. It is better to sell when the price get to another level.

i personally always divide my bankroll , half for long term investment which i will never sell my bitcoin until the price reach like doesn't makes sense lol and the other half to trade it in daily basis or short term which i need to monitor the market carefully.

Bitcoin's value is going up and down lately, it ain't profitable to day-trade considering the higher transaction fees of exchange sites. It's a big NO in pulling out all the money that he risk, an urgent situation is just a lame excuse if withdrawing out at a loss position, not everyday will be a price surge for the BTC market. In the first place, a plan should already be carried out and executed perfectly to avoid hindrances along the way.
