This seems interesting but, project needs to mature, miner is still unstable....

After working with it for most of the morning I also conclude this.

I ran into the following issues, same issue spread out over 8 rigs running the following 1060 1070ti 1080ti

All 3 errors below happen across all servers. Changing intensity, cpu priority, over clocking etc do not seem to help

Screen grabs below are from ASUS 1070ti

3 Main Issues

1. Hash rate not showing on stats page of pool (this is unimining.net, one of my favorite pools)

http://ninthline.com/bitcointalk/hsrminer-1.jpg

2. NVLM not found Not sure if this matters and may be a simple config error on my part.

http://ninthline.com/bitcointalk/hsrminer-2.jpg

2. Connection interrupted The most serious, have to restart miner to clear this

http://ninthline.com/bitcointalk/hsrminer-3.jpg

I will try new versions as (if) they come out and report my results.

(EDIT: hmm pictures not showing, just clickable urls. How to you get them to load on the page so people do not have to click them?)

You're using the wrong program.  Look VERY CLOSELY at the first line of text in your hsrminer-2.jpg screenshot.  Notice it says "HSR algo" and not "Neoscrypt algo".

You can't mine Neoscrypt using the HSR algorithm.

This may be because the zipped links are the other way around (the HSR link points to the cryptonight version and vice versa).
He probably downloaded the zipped version.

palgin,
Thanks for great miner!
Please check and fix the next issue.
OCed 1080ti gives 1950 kh/s at PL 95%. My miner starts with 512 diff and everything is ok, but after strating mining devfee miner changes diff to 256 and then when goes back to my pool resets share diff to 512, my overall speed become approx. 1925 kh/s per card and do not increase to 1950 kh/s any more Sad. Reporting power supply per card do not change.

P.S.
looking forward of your miner release for nist5 and Lyra2Rev2 algos.

Works fine for me in full ccminer 2.2.4 compatibility mode, although it does not show hashrate and estimated revenue.

Wow thanks a bunch, didnt know there were two different programs. I grabbed the neoscrypt version and bumped my virtual ram to 56 gm and its working great now.

I was repeating the same error over and over on all my rigs. This is when taking your issues to the forums really pays off, many thanks!! Smiley

GPU#0 - MSI GTX 1060 3GB, Temp is 69C, Fans at 52%, Power consumption 128W

I think we need temp limit on hsrminer - neoscript

I see so big diffirence in power consumption. 124W - 144W
no oc - it is at stock settings.

GTX1060 3GB power needs is 120W.
Why your miner needs more power ?

actualy MSI GTX 1060 ( gaming X version ) is rated 120w tdp on specifications but comes 135w tdp stock out of the box in order to keep up stock oc auto boost , as competitor choice for GP-106 series chipset family , do not forget no aorus extreme or ftw3 available for such an entry level value card :p

My zotac 1060 minis
power 80%
core clock +80
memory clock +500

NOTE: overall speed is 3427.92kH/s
that is 684 kH/s per card, I am quite happy with this given the low power draw of 90 watts or so  Cool

temps are a bit on the high side but the fans (on auto) spin up to deal with this

UPDATE
Quick and dirty test, increased the power to 100% (from 80%, all other settings left the same) and observered the following:

1. Power draw went from 90 W to 114 W for each gpu
2. Temps of cards went from low 70's to low 80's, this is a bit too toasty for my liking
3. Hash rate basically unchanged (3427 kH/s to 3459 kH/s)

Conclusion: running at 80% power is the sweet spot for my 1060's

When does the dev fee mining happen? Is it the first minute?
Because I am using a profit switcher to switch algorithms every 60 seconds to choose the most profitable one. If your dev fee mines the first minute, then I switch to another algorithm, the dev fee will become 100% of Neoscrypt for me

So, when is the dev mining? Ive been mining and monitoring it exclusively for 3 hours and cant find any reference to dev fee (piping it to a text file and control f'ing it)

don't switch so often.  miners typically take 10-15 seconds to start up, if you switch every 60, you're COMPLETELY wasting 25% of your time, regardless of dev fees.

also, the dev fee is hidden and random, to prevent people from 'auto-switching'  "just in time"

I'm running Asus ROG Strix 1080Ti OC (stock) on Windows 10. Both Windows and Nvidia drivers are up to date.

After mining normally for about 5 minutes, screen flickers, hsrminer closes (and does not open until restart), and 1080Ti disappears from Device Manager (onboard graphics remain). Even after reboot, 1080Ti does not show up until after about 5 minutes.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

well what settings in MSI Afterburner have you set for your card?
seems that your setting to high and card goes to defence mode
try set PL 85 , core +30 and memory +100  -this is safe values any strix should capable to run it
test and reaport back if all is good

In Afterburner I had CoreV 0 , I tried PL everything from 75-100, Core Clock +0, memory +0. But I did have the fan at 95% most of the time (but i dont think that matters).

Same with your settings  Sad

I didn't mention this in my original post: but twice, right after the screen flickered and 1080ti disappeared from Device Manager, when I refreshed for scan for device changes, i got the BSoD with VIDEO DXGKRNL FATAL ERROR. Googled, and found that this may be caused my malware - Windows 10 identified the hsrminer as malware (system was build 5 hours ago with only updates, nvidia, afterburner and hrsminer installed.)

I have also tried Nvidia drivers 388.43 and 390.65 which just came out.

Thoughts?

every miner program is "malware" in the eyes of almost every antivirus ... just download it and unpack in folder which is removed from antivirus program ...

edited: and when gpu dissapeared from afterbuer, just restart pc ... its because of high OC (i have 1080ti for mining and sometimes this happened)

I've tried to use hsrminer_neoscrypt.exe but it always showing me " Invalid Share " ...  50-60% (aprox) of the shares are rejected, i'm mining at bsod.pw, works 100% perfect with ccminer, stock settings at all.

Anyone can help?. Thx in advance.
