Yes , the X3 hashes 11 times more and uses 20 times more energy.   These cryptonite  machines may be worthless when monero changes algorithym and the others are likely to follow.

Moneros fork was anounced on april 6 so ASICS still have one week of life  Grin Grin Grin (with monero, but more cn coins also announced forks...)

I would say this is now becoming unprofitable to buy, lots of algo changes in the near future which will make it a door stop

Hi,
how I can try mining Decred? How I have to setting miner? I though The Baikal B no have algo decred , cannot mining or can?

Try mining.luxor.tech They have the best Decred Pool out there! And they have a medium setup guide that's easy to follow.

Cheers!

Guys, is it still profitable to buy a Baikel Giant B? looking to Nicehash you will make around 400USD a month.

Giant B is still profitable. I mine with Nicehash. Haven't had time to test other pools. I like that it's efficient and low power consumption. I've also got 10 Bitmain L3+ running, so its kind of difficult to tell you more exact figures, though with the Baikal B alone I am getting roughly +/- 0.00158055 BTC/day with bitcoin price at $6,693.74 it equates to making $10.58/day. Make sure to enable Nicehash-SMA for auto switching capabilities.

I have 6 Baikal Giant B's running Nicehash - albeit the profit is low, they're still been profitable.

Over the last few weeks it's they have been switching between Pascal and Decred - but it never changes to Lbry.

According to Nicehash, Lbry is the most profitable. I've double and triple checked the stratum, and it's exactly what Nicehash has posted. Extranounce is on, it's set as priority 1. It simply doesn't switch to Lbry - does anyone have any ideas?

Same thing is a happening for me also, just switches between decred and pascal. What is the extranonce setting? Should I have this turned on?

careful folks. there are talks about lbry being forked to make it more GPU friendly, still trying to get answers but devs are already discussing this.

Source?

Most of us can't get it to mine Lbry right now anyway. It only switches between Decred and Pascal.

I’m sure if you really want to mine Library you could just point your miner at that pool and turn off nicehash autoswitching.

Baikal will need to add some new algorithms if thats true.
They already lowered the price to $2,700 and are now offering them as buy one get one free so its only $1,350 each.

Did Baikal ever say they were going to add more algorithms for the Giant B or was that only for the X10?

In the past it sounded like they might add some more, but this the response they gave me today:

"HI,
Sorry we haven't got any updating info on giant B currently
Best,
Baikal"

My guess is they don't plan on updating it and thats why they marked them down to 2 for $2,700
