Unfortunately, novacoin blocks take 3 days to mature. Also, the bottlecaps fork Sad

It's not huge. Around 0.24 bitcoins for the pool.

You know what would be a cool feature? If it switched coins per-user. Not as a whole. So users with high reject rates wouldn't switch to fast coins as often. That would be pretty hard to do though.

OK, I'll do a test. What difficulty setting do you want?

And with vardiff, how many seconds per share?

Here's the test, using Mincoin. You won't get paid for these shares.

Port 3330: 512 difficulty
Port 3331: variable difficulty, set to one share every 10 seconds
Port 3332: 64 difficulty

Edit: Don't test the vardiff one. It's broken. Seems to go to 0 difficulty.

one share every 30 seconds seems high to me but i am no pro at that.

i think every 10 seconds would be right.

what do other people mean?

I Vote for VARDIFF since it automatic, we should find a x share/second to satisfy users and admin both.
