Anybody have an update on when Quark will be added to BTC38??

Getting added to btc38 will bring a big price boost.

What does this say?

What does the Quarkers say?

Hello Quarkers.org ?

Thought it would be interesting to see it put that way. I think the level of complexity requires more context through the community.

So, I bring here /r/Quarkcoin Support (in real-time) Delivering Quark Updates via Android / Smartphone devices.

BTC38 was going to implement Quark but volume was too large and they delayed the trading. When their system is ready for that volume they will add it. It's a great time to stock up on Quarks after the big crash of pretty much everything in december. Quark is one of my top 3 bets in the year to come.

volume to large?

I wish that was the case. But have you looked at the volume of quark at vircurex.com lately? It rarely is more than 10 BTC a day...

At the moment it's only at 2.7 BTC...

 Embarrassed

I think he's right. I'm had difficulty with btc38 website yesterday.

So they're struggling with CURRENT coins.

If you're looking for a (backup) Pool:

I've just opened qrk.suprnova.cc to the public:

...
There currently no fee.

https://qrk.suprnova.cc

I have been mining there tonight. This mine has no fees but it charges 0.1 QRK per withdrawal transaction while other mines charge only 0.01 QRK

For me, 0.1 QRK is like 10 hours of mining with a couple of my intel atom based servers. (too much for me)
Could you please consider lowering the charge for withdrawing quarks?

On the good side, the mine is not crowded at all :-)

Regards,

 José Antonio

Hi Jose !

Whoops, that was my fault, it was probably to late and I did not see that, I've corrected my txfee to 0.01 now Smiley

I'll send you some quark to your saved address in http://qrk.suprnova.cc to compensate and for finding a block Smiley)

I have also corrected the Blockexplorer address.

The codebase from the pool was Litecoin before, there comes the old block explorer address and the txfee, I've adapted it to qrk and fixed those settings now.

Let me know if you find something else, I think my round estimation calculations are probably a bit off, they are too optimistic, I'll fix that also when I got some time to fix the math.

Thanks

oc

According to Coinmkt's twitter account, they are working on adding Quark to their exchange. This would mean Qrk is getting paired with USD. Expect a spike in Quark's price these coming days and possibly weeks.

digitalindustry - It seems you would have a better idea than anyone here, regarding the question I posed on the page before. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=260031.msg4237501#msg4237501

Quote
Is there any information available regarding how many nodes Quark has?
How many GPU's/Cpu's does Quark have defending it?
How can we make sense of Quarks Gh/s in relation to BTC, LTC, etc. considering that Quark has 6 algoriths? Does that matter much?

I'm trying to get a picture of it's network strength, regarding my post above. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=260031.msg4226452#msg4226452

Can you answer this, add some direction, etc?

Appreciated,
IAS

sure - i will post back here - i will find out -

Not to put any pressure on digitalindustry, but can someone answer the above questions?
And also, can someone suggest, the best bang for the buck regarding building a mining rig to support the network (primarily)?
Something like an AMD FX-8350 8 core chip in a cheap rig? (Don't think we need anything more than on board video and 1GB of ram, small HD, etc.

Thanks,
IAS

HI sorry ive been away - i'm not a coder , maybe Max can chime in here - i know the network is healthy , exact nodes - i don't have with me now -

can not compare the two networks - one is mined by ASIC obviously  -

we have check-pointing - in place -

I'm working with Max to further innovation int his field generally -

sorry i can't be immediately more helpful  the AMD FX-8350 8 core chip from the feedback i get is pretty good -

Regards .

I'd reccomend fx8320 or an fx6300 if you're building lots of rigs.  Cool

I'm all ears, why the 8320? (I'm just building one rig - and I am just gonna do it to support the network - but yeah, I'll take what I can get with Quarks).
Suggestions? (I will use the rig for other things eventually, so probably get a DVD drive, 8GB ram but just on board video - I pay .28 KW/h for electricity, so video card mining is out.)
CPU cooler is a must

Thx

I admit, I'd never heard of dubstep though it's included in a 10 most popular genre list.
I certainly wouldn't want to exclude the dubstep community.

Good Luck.
