slowly i am losing my trust to quark  Cry

You shouldn't. This coin is really more innovative than the average think.

It is still underrated in the crypto scene. This will change obviously Wink

slowly i am losing my trust to quark  Cry

I am not surprised. Like 95% of people who post FUD about Quark, your account was registered less than 2 weeks ago and all of your other posts are regarding Dogecoin. What I really would like to know is how many of you are there. I mean, I'm starting to wonder if there are just 10 or 20 of you guys out there with like 50 accounts each. It's getting really pathetic.

u r wrong i m new at bitcoin talk but i am holding quarks in my wallets about 1,5 months. and other forums and my local forums i supported quark coin.

everyone said quark will added to chinese exchange sites, ppl said wait for keiser.

but everything still same i invested some money to quark and im still holding it but i am losing my hope.

dogecoin issue is u know that coin is the most profitable for mining at these days.

its why im active on that forum. i am just an investor and miner. I am not fan of coins.

btc38.com under maintenance, is quark coming?

Forget about the btc38 thing, they even don't have a volume.

Quark is alredy beeing traded in China and Qrk has a direct access to CNY.
I think there where not major news
so the chinese can buy there QRK for a lower price.

And the volume is near to cryptsy's

Check this out:

What's this NXT? Looks like close source proprietary centralized currency for proprietary OSs.

It's partially closed source until January for the "official launch", AFAIK

The idea behind it is essentially 100% proof-of-stake instead of proof-of-work. As a result, it is much more energy efficient as there is no brute force involved for mining. Proof-of-stake is being used by Peercoin (PPC) already, but in a different way that still partly requires proof-of-work (hashing).

NXT are said not to be mined but 'forged' instead. The block generation principle is similar, but instead of getting more blocks with more hashrate, you get more blocks with more at stake i.e. greater balance.

For me it's just the opposite of Freicoin, the longer you hold, the richer you are (and I'm not talking about price increase as a store of value here). I'm not judging, it's just something obvious that I noticed with the forging concept. There is a very active thread ongoing for Nxt.

This should be written in the official Nxt thread to clarify more what Nxt is.
Well done.

How many hashes does it take to find a share?

At difficult 1 we need 2^24 hashes approximatly for a block (16777216 Hashes)
So at a diff of around 5160 we need 2^24 * 5160 hashes = 86570434560 =~ 86,5 GHashes

Now about these 6 algorithms : blake, bmw, groestl, jh, keccak, skein... I wonder which one is the most secure ? Some of them must have their drawbacks ?

OK thanks for your answer georgem. So if one of the hashing functions was compromised, then the others would do the job anyway...

Now that's interesting. That would make Quark the most secure of all the alt-cryptos out there ?

Really, whatever hashing function you use: As long as there are no reasonable collision attacks and such stuff, its irrelevant of the hashing algorithm used.
Yes of course, have a newer ("more secure") hashing function means, that the point in time when the computer technology is so advanced that this is doable in somehwat reasonable time, that this point in time is later, but really who cares?
Just do a hard fork and replace the hashing algorithms for all blocks newer than block X.

And currently Quark also uses SHA256 for the Merkle Tree...

What are "Transaction Fees" and why are they important to Bitcoin and Litcoin ; Why and how does Quark have no Transaction fees ?

[...]

in contrast:

Quark provides its users and investors with a Fee FREE environment this is because of the EQ reward , this means that if you are a SME or small business ,or a home business ; www.keepitwooden.com/ < (i'm buying some : D) you have no fees to worry about what so ever -

Once again: schmarrn

Please read the code before you are stating such things which are provable wrong.
That is what makes others think about quark as scamcoin

Quarkcoin HAS transaction fees, and follows the same rules about "free transactions" as Bitcoin.
And since these rules were made for bitcoin, but in quark we have a faster block time and most of the time a bigger volume (important for the priority calculations) often the requirements for free transactions where met.
Remember the problems with transactions (mostly from p2pools inputs) hanging in the network. This happend because of that rules.

Introduction Animation Video

Original post:  http://forum.qrk.cc/thread/1044/introduction-animation-video
I saw alot of request to make a "animation video" just like bitcoin has. I asked around, and found a friend with some free time.

Here are two videos from her portfolio:

Video 1:
https://vimeo.com/82370952

Video 2:
https://vimeo.com/82370951

Information about the video:
- Video will be animated
- Duration will be 1 minute and 30 secondes.
- Voiceover: a female or a male: American, British, Australian, German or Spanish.
- The video comes with a royalty-free Background Music.
- The end-product video will be delivered in High Definition.

Work Process:
- The overall process takes 2 weeks.
    >    1 week for the Storyboad and Recording of the voiceover.
    >    1 Week week for the animation.
- The last 3 days (of the last week) is reserved for amendments on the video.

Donation wallet adress:  QXdb5DcHV3fyusXcDj7UDhzZgTcxc21Kq8

Donation Counter: 13.105 quark.

- guy1 donated 1100 quark coins
- barney donated 300 quark coins
- Unknown donated 5 quark coins
- victor donated 1000 quark coins
- tip donated 2000 quark coins
- bluegreen donated 100 quark coins
- dadon12 donated 8595 quark coins BIG THANKS!
- Unknown donated  5 quark coins
- chad donated 100 quark coins

Storyboard
Hi guys! let this project begin. First of all the people who donate to this project have the "lead-role" in how the animation-video story should be.

Some key element:
- The video will be 1 minutes and 30 seconds.
- We need to start beginning with writing a "storyboard"

So reply with what you think should need to come on the video:
>What is Quark Coin
> De-centrelized digital Currency
> Key elements of Quark Coin
        > Send money to any one all around the world,
        > In a secure way (9 encryptions)
        > In an anonymous way
        > You can start using Quark Coins within seconds
        > No monthly fees
> quarkpayments.com
> It should be emphasised on the SPEED of Quark transactions - that it is20 times faster than Bitcoin; that it takes seconds to arrive and roughly 2-3 minutes to confirm.
> Quark is much more affordable than other coins, and therefore much more suited for day-to-day micro payments.
