<too much post>

Now I can hear you! I really don't have a great understanding about the inflation rate and where it should be. I will say, at current adoption, your level sounds too high.
BUT, as things pick up, I can imagine it making more sense. The match behind all this is beyond me and I'm not sure if the creator really went deep there (and Satoshi with BTC as well.)

As far as coins failing and such, I think we need to see some failures happen within the next year, as currently there is a lot of dilution going on. That said, there needs to be more
than 1 or 2 Cryptos imo. The reasons are vast but difficult to communicate for I intuitionally (not institutionally ;-) see the Cryptos organically interacting with one another in a manner not yet seen (but in years from now).

Looking forward to how this all rolls out,
IAS

The problem with a failure right now , it's how much impact will it have on the rest of the networks.
Let's say a clonecoin dies. Nothing will happen , many have already died. Let's say a top 10 coin suffers a 51% attack and 18mil$ are turned to dust.
All the pow coins will be doomed.

There are some failures that even though you're learning something from them , are just so hard that you won't be able to recover from them.

As for my inflation idea , I already stated , I have nothing better than that and I don't consider it the best around , even by far.

say money is not an issue.. what is the optimum configuration for max hashrate? A) 1 single instance with highest number cpus running multiple clients B) multiple instances of less cpus each running a single client C) multiple highest cpus running single clients?

Vault of Satoshi adds Quark

"Also now on the books are namecoin, quarkcoin, feathercoin, and Sunny King’s prime number-busting primecoin. These join its existing bitcoin, litecoin and peercoin portfolio."

"I have been keeping an eye on the volume of QRK/CNY trade on btc38.com and it seems like Quark is VERY popular in China!
Here are the respective 24 hour trading volumes:
BTC/CNY 1,416,748 CNY (~300 BTC)
LTC/CNY 1,014,823 CNY (7800 LTC)
QRK/CNY 535,710 CNY (1,100,000 QRK)"

This looks like good news. QRK is third most popular Smiley

Hi Zzzack.

All the charts are generated by a python script that connects via JSON RPC to the currency daemon.  To make the transactions graph, I'm using the JSON RPC command "decoderawblock" on every block and that returns the number of transactions in each block.

It's a bit misleading because every block has a special transaction called the coinbase transaction that contains the coins that are mined.  This means that on my chart, it's difficult to distinguish between a lot of blocks being generated and a lot of real transactions.  Someone has already suggested that I separate the coinbase transactions from normal transactions on the chart.  I will be implementing that soon.

Hi,
just wanted to present my little site here:

http://quark.host-ed.me/

I was sick of clicking and searching through endless sites just to find a link or small info about Quark. So I started gathering all the links and put it in one place.

It was meant for personal use, but I guess it could not hurt to share the infos Smiley

Any feedback is welcome!

If you know of any useful resource, that should be listed, just drop me a note.

Donations are welcome but not necessary.

Thanks!

Good Luck! Smiley

Aloha!

Is it possible mining quark with minerd on 6/8 cores on my gpu mining rig at the same time i´m mining doge e.g with my gpus?
or will it reduce my overall hashrate  ?

I´ve read that it is important to let 1 core idle for cgminer. is that enough ? oder should I let more cores idled?

thank you for your help
