At least till the new 880 comes out. You heard it here first :p Been praising these little buggers for months but people were too stuck on amd being better for mining...that's no longer the case. 3mh/s mining qrk with a mild oc. 40w

It needs more hype to grow, some reason to get people to buy and use it. And probably, less people with reprogrammed bitcoin FPGAs dumping it.

show me a FPGA which has a quark bitstream I haven't seen one yet...just read about some chinese dudes and x11 fpga's but it doesn't seem to be possible right now, at least for it to be WAY better than a gpu.

quark is doing great promotionally wise, but poor technically wise. It needs to add or change something in it's code to attract more people. Unfortunately it's dev doesn't go further than updating the wallet once in a couple months. Lack of active dev is quarks weakness right now. There is a new russian quark exchange coming www.qex.la so lets hope it's legit and quark gets big over there with more traders and for all i care even money laundering, quark needs to get its high volume back

Quark is Quark and is good as a currency/unit of trade as it is. Quark is still highly asic resistant due to its random rounds (as opposed to X11 that has already hit the point of FPGAs). It is fast and secure. Now is the hard work of getting it actually used around teh world so unlike 99.99% of the new coins released every couple days it isn't just for quick pump dump and forget.
