Bitcoin interest - interesting, haha.

So this works like proof of stake? Or is this interest generation model a different mechanism?

Maybe you could draw an explanation picture or something like that.

There are so many forms right now that bitcointalk should start to think at creating a specific category for bitcoin forks, just as it did for tokens.

This is still PoW as miners mine our interest payouts. Each block has two rewards, the first (larger) reward goes to the miner and the second (smaller) reward goes to the interest pools. We will work on a visual explanation of the entire process.

Alright, thank you for your explanation. The process is now a bit clearer to me.

On which block will your coin fork? And how can we claim the forked coins?

Bitcoin Interest is a new project that will launch on January 2018 and I'm excited about that because they're gonna be launching in the same date of bitcoin fork. What is great about this project is that you can save your coins here and still have an income that is what passive income is. This is also great because they have a mining also, but with only low difficulty. Please do share bitcoin interest and stay tuned for their launch on january

So this project you will be making will act like a bank? Where we can get interest if we store our Bitcoins in here, if ever we store it in your Savings Community will it be converted into token? or will it act as a wallet? I'm still a little bit confused about this project so please bare with me.

yes I think that this Jproyek will act like a bank? Where can we be interested if we want to save our Bitcoin here. but I'm not so sure if we keep bitcoin or something valuable without any clear safety.

We will be announcing what exact block soon. To claim your forked coins insert your BTC private key into our BCI wallet. Another option would be to transfer your BTC to an exchange that will be trading us at launch and hold your BTC there. They should credit your account automatically after the fork. Please contact the exchange to ensure they will be crediting BCI to your account prior to doing this.

EDIT : We will be forking on January 22nd, 2018 at 11:59 PM GMT, or at block 505083, whichever comes first.

at least this can aim at preveint the easy dumping from the bitcoin holder for their claimed forked coin, but the interest rate seems very low

it would be better if you give bitcoin directly for every BCI you hold

basically having interest on coins that i store in the wallet which is of two types the ones parked and the ones in interest pool, small percentage is shared to everyone according to users balances. I really like the idea of choosing time frames for both storage, users can be able to easily calculated their profit and choice their earning plans

I do not understand. Should I give you the private key from my bitcoin wallet? On which exchange will it be possible to transfer bitcoin?

You will need to transfer existing balance to other address and then use private keys to claim the new coins when they will be available in few days. This is how I did with some previous fork and it worked for me. I think we need to wait for instructions and more information to be given out.

Is it a new Bitcoin hardfork again? Seems like hard forks became very popular, after China has banned ICOs lol

Description looks promising, not a substitute of bitcoin but rather a support, I like the idea. I hope it won't be like the failure of many of the random forks that comes out.

Don't worry if you bust, people will still love you

What will be the algorithm for mining? Block time? Reward? Preeemine?

Lets just wait for the further announcements. I think they are launching that one soon. For now, let us just promote and support this new upcoming bitcoin fork.
