This is the news which can be appreciated seeing BCI on Bitfinex in a week approximately. I have couple of forked coins but didn't use them. My question was regarding interest generating as well but I will prefer to study the concept before asking anything. That is first thing anyone wants to understand as it is being promoted for interest too.

Bitcoin Interest (BCI) is a BTC fork, sometime along January this year. However, the developer only successful open the interest portal on 1st April. Every BCI block will generate 12.5BCI+1.08 BCI. 12.5BCI goes to the miner, while 1.08 BCI goes to the interest pool. There are 2 interest cycle, which is weekly or monthly. 1 BCI address only able to register to either one cycle, and not both. The interest pool was divided into 70% for monthly and 30% to weekly.

Since the dev can only provide full node wallet currently, thus I miss the chance to register monthly cycle since early this month I'm unable to fully sync the wallet until 4th April. Since I already get 2 interest out of 3 weekly period, thus I truly trust BCI dev.

The interest amount that we get depends on the total BCI that was registered. The more BCI that was registered, the less interest that we get.

For example:
Interest pool for month of April: 5000 BCI
Monthly pool: 3500 BCI (70%)
Weekly pool: 1500 BCI (30%)
Number of week in April: 4
Weekly pool: 375 BCI per week

My registered BCI: 600 BCI
Total Registered 1st week: 40000 BCI
Interest received 1st week: 375 / 40000 * 600 = 5.625 BCI

My registered BCI: 605.625 BCI
Total Registered 2nd week: 80000 BCI
Interest received 2nd week: 375 / 80000 * 605.625 = 2.83886719 BCI

Through the Telegram group, the dev already said that they already contact Bitfinex and HitBTC for listing BCI, but both exchanges require BCI explorer before listing.

They only able to fully sync the BCI explorer sometime around 20 April (due to 7/8/9 years of BTC blockchain). Thus the listing should be within 1-2 weeks.
CMC listing should be after the BCI  listing in Bitfinex or HitBTC.

Also, I think the dev also has contacted and has some agreement with Genesis Mining so that they will mine/introduce BCI cloud mining Grin

Thanks for full answer. The scheme looks a bit complicated for me. As I got it, the covering coins are going  from miners who are obliged to pay to interest pool. But what the incentives for them to do this? Is this profitable to mine BCI and pay to interest pool?  Besides, in such scheme the interest payed to holders should depend on degree of pool's filling. What happens if miners will go away  from BCI ?

That is incorrect. The miners get 100% of the 12.5 BCI rewards from the block, same like mining Bitcoin or Bitcoin Cash. Only that the BCI dev develop another interest block out of the block with the amount of 1.08 BCI for each block. The interest pool is from the block and not from the miners.

Besides, in such scheme the interest payed to holders should depend on degree of pool's filling. What happens if miners will go away  from BCI ?
Thats where the agreement with Genesis Mining comes in. Genesis Mining already mined BCI to protect the blockchain.

I made my "own BCI" account here so i dont need to ask other BCI admins to update etc Smiley

I've been with BCI for around 2 weeks now with my team. And we are working on several things.

1. Explorer --- Already done, http://explorer.bitcoininterest.io

2. Mining Pool, building totally new official BCI pool with US and EU stratums. Making it a lot more appealing to miners with a lot more information and goodies than the default Z-Nomp we are running now, we are aiming to get the pool out on next friday (April 27th 2018).. Its gonna be on http://pool.bitcoininterest.io and the old pool address is gonna be forwarded there too, miners will change the pool "on the fly" aka no need to make any changes + you arent gonna lose anything you mined on the old (current) pool either.

3. Litewallet, porting Copay to BCI. That means light wallet clients for Windows, Max, Linux and WWW SSL. We are aiming to release this before BCI is listed on Bitfinex (Tuesday May 1th 2018). Wallet will be found on http://wallet.bitcoininterest.io

HitBTC is the worst Exchange to communicate with, lets hope they will do something when we are listed on Bitfinex. HitBTC listing is paid, they are just extremely slow and dont inform anything.

I know HitBTC is not the best of exchanges out there but it is a popular exchange and if BCI get listed there it should trade very well.

From the BCI Explorer, example block Block #522390, this BCI address iHgcntCBzgkVfuWfKVq7gHzPzmp26uyScS is capturing all the interest block. It still has 406789BCI left. If 5000BCI was distributed monthly, then we still can get the interest for the next 6 years and 9 months. Keep HODLING guys  Grin

quite incredibly this coin is soon on bitfinex which seems nuts to me as it hasn't even appeared on any coin listing sites like coinmarketcap as far as i can tell.

since it's on there you won't have to bother with a total hole like hitbtc.

how did this happen?
