I'm surprised that there are those who really believe that, it's impossible. Bitcoin is the very popular cryptocurrency and has a high market cap

I feel that ethereum has the potential and the possibility to someday take over the bitcoin position as the number 1 coin. But if you look at the current value and volume of the ethereum on the market, it is still difficult to do. It looks like Ethereum still has to fight.

I think you're wrong . Etherium can outrun Bitcoin but not before 5 years ....I'm 99% sure that next year this will not happen

I think there is no coin that can overtake bitcoin, not even the bitcoincash and ethereum, Bitcoin is a way away from that spot. Ethereum is actually exposed by kitties last few weeks ago.

I think its just a question of time when ethereum will overtake bitcoin. It will need some years until this happends. But it will happend, thats sure. Because bitcoin is jsut a pure cryptocurrency. Ethereum is a blockchain plattform with smart contracts, which allows the people to create tools on it and who is working everywhere anytime. So with these revolutionary plattform, its just a question of time untill the projects who build on it will be worth some millions and will take ethereum with them to the way to the moon!

From my perpective, the future of 2 coins is really bright. BTC will become storage of valuef fast and ETH will become the defacto blockchain. But for me, BTC is still status as king of cryptocurrency that is never be replaced.

I think it's unlikely. Everyone is talking about technology. Technological development is inevitable, but consensus is not necessarily with technological development. Everyone is talking about technology. Technological development is inevitable, but consensus is not necessarily with technological development. Otherwise, why do you think that BCH (H) is the real bitcoin when the BCH gang gets separated by three? Isn't it just to grab consensus?

I very much doubt that Ethereum will be able to overtake Bitcoin. Recently Ethereum have any problems with security. Hackers are progressing and doing everything to steal money from users and companies!

In fact, the difference in capitalization is not that big. If there are any radical changes in the market, this event can happen even at the end of this year.

I think it is quite possible that ETH may overtake BTC somedays in the future. The reason is although BTC has a network greater than any others, it does not support the number of Altcoins as ETH. That is just my supposition.

It seems unlikely that Bitcoin will be ranked number 1, although the current ETH is more stable than Bitcoin Bitcoin works with its highly sophisticated Blockchain algorithm.
So Bitcoin will be the greatest coin in history.

Sooner or later a new coin will eventually take bitcoins throne. Old technology will eventually be replaced with new ones. As much as I love bitcoin, it will never last forever. Ethereum is one of those candidates that will or might take bitcoins spot. Ethereum is the second most used and popular next to bitcoin. It has the qualities and can possibly take bitcoins place.

Nothing lasts forever, dude. But at the moment, when bitcoin is falling, all follow it. No Bitcoin no altcoin. Bitcoin is still reliable and strong enough to resist its competitors.

Ethereum will not replace Bitcoin. "If I am correct, the size of the blockchain is not related to the number of full nodes (but this will reflect people's emphasis on this chain), then, probably next year Even if Ethereum's blockchain size exceeds Bitcoin's blockchain size, Ethereum's degree of centralization will be smaller (measured by the number of nodes on the network). However, this comparison does not reduce bits. The current strength and position of the currency, as the world's most popular cryptocurrency.

Although many people are more familiar with bitcoin, Ethereum has also gained a fair share of the market with its own value. However, there are key differences between Ethereum and Bitcoin used blockchains.

The difference between these two systems is that Ethereum's data processing is faster than Bitcoin's, because upon agreement, Ethereum's system automatically applies to the terms and conditions of the contract.

Although many people may think that the value of Ethereum is lower than Bitcoin, Ethereum may not be as good as Bitcoin. This is a good thing for investors who are looking for alternatives to Bitcoin. Lower prices may attract more investors because it will have more room for growth. The only downside is that Ethereum is not as established as Bitcoin. In view of this, Bitcoin is safer than Ethereum.

    Not as fickle as before

Since the establishment of Bitcoin in 2009, cryptocurrencies have made great achievements and they have continued to grow. In fact, the value of legitimate cryptocurrencies has risen since then.

Although cryptocurrencies performed very well this year, analysts predict that when the economic situation is better, investors will leave the cryptocurrency and return to the traditional investment medium. When this happens, the cryptocurrency's volatility declines as demand decreases.

Of course, we will still see the growth of cryptocurrencies in the coming years, which will help the industry remain strong. When this happens, investors are undoubtedly a good idea to hold cryptocurrencies for future growth.

In the next year ETH will overtake BTC as the number 1 cryptocurrency.  I would unload your bitcoin while you still can.
In my opinion, there is no cryptocurrency that can overtake bitcoin as the number because it is the first crypocurrency and no can beat that record in history, also bitcoin quality shows a lot of potential and I think it will grow more in these next few months. Ethereum is also a promising coin but it can never reach bitcoin for me.

It won't overtake bitcoin this year, it need a lot of work to do to reach the bitcoin value. Bitcoin has struggle for so many years, it doesn't easy to take its position.

Simply based on the development of the thousand+ apps being built on top of the blockchain, it's hard to argue why it would not overtake BTC.
