Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin

The distance now between BTC and ethereum is so great that it's impossible for ETH to pass it easily. I still think that ethereum will grow in 2018-19 but I do not think it will become the number one.

I highly doubt this will happen. Although Eth is also highly popular and trusted, it still has a few issues of its own which are similar to Bitcoin.
Therefore, I don't think it can surpass Bitcoin unless these issues are resolved.

ETH has both pluses and minuses relative to bitcoin. I think that there are more pluses, and the ETH is more promising than bitcoin, but I'm sure that if the ETH ever surpasses bitcoin in terms of capitalization, then definitely not in a falling market. Therefore, this issue also depends on how the crypto currency market behaves in the global sense.

No i think it will if  if we view the development of the graph between bitcoin ethereum difference and not too far away. I am sure that will overtake ethereum bitcoin on next year because of the ethereum has potential is great and has strong support from investors. but the bitcoin can never be invincible because of the bitcoin remains the main currencies and occupied the forefront of market cryptocurrrency.

-ETH blockchain is growing a lot more than expected due to the large number of related tokens, and the roadmap includes a move to PoS.

How do you mean it's quite likely? Look at the market caps and prices of btc and eth?

I barley think the this will happen in anytime in the future! The real bitcoin as speak is always going to have more trust as compare to other coins and ETH specially. This trust will always keep building more and more investors and crypto enthusiast in the favour of bitcoin leading to ultimate investment into bitcoin. So you see here, the weightage for the bitcoin will be always higher as compared to the ETH. Im completely in favour with the ETH as good investment but it always comes after the BTC. Its perfect currency for long term investment but I don't think that anyone will ever put it in the first rank and that too after having blessed with BTC in the crypto world.

I think ETH may surpass bitcoin but honestly ETH won't surpass bitcoin right now. Bitcoin will be taking the lead now and we don't even know that ETH may compete to bitcoin and become successful as bitcoin does in the future as i mention earlier. It's step ETH made it won't be the same as bitcoin in terms of market cap but in transactions eth may be fast than bitcoin. Eth and bitcoin had it's own advantages as for bitcoin it's because of it's market cap and in ETH it's transactions you made are faster than bitcoin so if ETH would begin to earn it's reputation same as bitcoin in market then that is the time we would be seriously discussing about ETH and bitcoin issue.

If you are not aware of the present market situation those issues are settled by now, if you look at the bitcoin transaction stats you wont be seeing more pending transaction like before because after the activation of segwit the transaction price and time have come down like in the old days.

More number of projects does not mean that ETH is growing in the right direction , there are many scam projects coming in the form of ETH tokens and if you are aware, countries around the world are trying to make regulation to counter these huge scams and it might not be favorable for them because you wont be able to see more projects coming out like in the past.

I think Bitcoin will not be replaced for several years to come. Because bitcoin is one of the common crypto currency icons know that bitcoin is one of the most excellent crypto currency. But in the future it may happen that ethereum will take over bitcoin.

I see the development of Ethereum is pretty good and getting better. I myself am convinced that Ethereum could take over as long as Ethereum continues to show an ever-increasing development.
