Bitcoin's price is getting low

This week, bitcoin's price gets low. Based on the article that i read, it says thats they cant trace the reason why its getting low. They said it might be because some used to hack and mine bitcoins. They also said that maybe it was because there are new cryptos.
What do you think is the main reason? Do you think its price will still rise?

I think the bitcoin price could go down steadily yesterday nothing to do with hacking and bitcoin mining. But I also do not know for sure why bitcoin prices can fall like that, I personally am not surprised the price can go down like that, because the price of bitcoin prices can go down and increase anytime, I'm ready about it. You do not need to panic if bitcoin prices go down, you can see now that bitcoin prices have increased again.

In late December 2017, bitcoin went through what is called a market correction. The market correction normally occur when the bitcoin price hit the highest level - the apex point in the market, so the correction will come to balanced the bitcoin price and make it affordable for many buyers before the price get back to where it was and set itself to another level. After the correction period, the bitcoin price normally recovers in 2-3 weeks time.

I think if the bitcoin's price is getting low it is the right time to buy a bitcoin, like me if I have an extra money I will buy a bitcoin, then when I buy a bitcoin I'll wait a year before the price of the will increase.

Thanks for the information. I guess your right because the price of bitcoin is pumping but it is pumping slowly. But still it is a good thing because the price is recovering from its downfall. I guess after a few more weeks we can see it back on top.

I think bitcoin price now start to go up again but I realize that sometimes the price is up and down but I think this is good for us because we can buy and sell bitcoin to use for our benefit. I see in a few weeks ago, the price is down too far and makes many people confuse and panic just to see the price is dropped. but one thing that they should know that bitcoin price will be back to increase again and we can prepare to sell our bitcoin.

The price of Bitcoin is the result of market manipulation from the side of a whale.

Things keep on changing all the time. There is no way that you can assure this that the market value of bitcoin will always go up. The market price of bitcoin is no doubt falling down but this is not happening for the first time. This happened in the past as well and it will keep on happening in the future too. We just need to cash out that opportunity which is available to us in the best possible way like by buying more number of bitcoins.

1. See it as a correction that was bound to happen anyway, after the huge non stop buying for months now.
2. See it as whales cashing out and some noobs getting scared and selling at losses. (they will get to learn from experience later on)
3. See it as a Christmas gift, if you want to get in at a lesser price because later on, this year or next year, we are coming back at some point to test back the previous top. Some call it black Friday for crypto shopping.

Jokes apart though, there is really nothing to worry about. You are welcome to the volatile world of crypto. It is a bloodbath out there right now and they happen once in a while. It will pass and forget anything else you are hearing.

I think it is because a summary from the 3 reasons above that made this huge down fall. But I wil keep hodling my coins and will se what 2018 brings.

You guys really don't know how bitcoin market really operates, sometimes the market can be down, but there's no need to be sad on your part because bitcoin have shown that it will can recovered, we just have to give it time. I'll be honest with you that I also was quite disappointed when bitcoin falls to $12,000 and the price hovering around $13,000 for quite some time specially during holidays. I see my investment going down, but I didn't panic because I know that its one of the days that bitcoin is somewhat on a slump, moving sideways and the bullish sentiments are not replace by the bears. FUD here and there can be found as well in the forum causing the price so really drop. However, I think this is the beginning of our recovery because the price is going to $17,000 as of the moment. I think people are not very happy that we have somewhat recovered already and hoping that we can reach the ever elusive $20,000.

The price of bitcoin coming back up is something that is bound to happen anyway. The whales are always the main dudes in the market and it has shown that the level at which they really have much power to get the value dropped to presently be the base we have. Right now is the best time to really get the best value from bitcoin as within the next few months, some of them will resume back after the long break.

We may just have to assume that a lot of people cashed out for the festive period or possibly state the fact that the huge correction was really needed and expected to bring back sanity into the market. I thought it could even be worse than this, but it seems the market is still quite strong and a lot of people and investors despite the huge dip in price still decided to hold anyway.

Honestly, we cannot really say what exactly the main reason why Bitcoin price are crashing right now, but one thing is for sure that no one can possibly be able to obtain majority of hashing power and hack Bitcoin until today. And I am pretty sure that new cryptocurrencies are definitely not the main reason why this is happening, there are new altcoin that is being created almost everyday and nothing really affects Bitcoin price. What I think is it's just big investors that are taking their profit and this is expected to happen as the price of Bitcoin dramatically increase in just short period of time.

Bitcoin price went through what is called the market correction in the late December 2017 hitting down up to $11k from $20k, losing about 45% of the bitcoin original value. Thankfully, bitcoin price started recovering over the last few days and it gains about 20% on top selling at about $16k today.

I think not, now the value of bitcoin in early 2018 has reached $ 16K, from the month of August 2017 bitcoin value higher, occasionally down but rise again. dikarenakn now many are familiar with bitcoin and investors are already glancing bitcoin, the value of bitcoin will also be higher. the result of dump and pump in November 2017 bitcoin value down, but because of the public trust and community value bitcoin rose again. bitcoin values are not determined many new altcoins are emerging. it seems even stronger the bitcoin value to keep up. can be seen in 2017 alone maybe hundreds of new crypto that carries a new concept as well but the value of bitcoin is stable. New crypto is a balancer for bitcoin. community and support I think that makes bitcoin still feasible as a mother of crypto.

relaxed, bitcoin prices will not return to the very cheap price, bitcoin prices will rise from year to year, if the price drops it will only give you a chance to buy again.

I also believe btc price would be back to 18k-20k dollars mark a month or two but I'm on big loss now in my btc hodlings so I just keep hodling and avoid selling until it pumps again.

So you bought when the price of bitcoin was at its highest point, that was a mistake I know that we are all confident bitcoin is going to reach an all time high soon but when bitcoin reaches new heights that is not the moment to buy if you are a trader most of the time that is the moment to sell and wait for a correction and buy at an even cheaper price than before, people have made fortunes by just doing that.

I would predict the reason why the value has not yet gone high. The trasaction cost would be one of the reason for the value to be stable now. As the trasaction fees are too much, people have stoped trasacting or selling / bying bitcoins. When lots of transactions occur and mining occures, new currency is created and the demand for it increases and values grow along with these actions.

The reason for the low Bitcoin exchange rate is due to the fact that Bitcoin is heavily influenced by negative news. There is also some information related to the Bitcoin trading floors hacked by hackers, and more or less disturbing to those who invest in the money. But I still hope Bitcoin rates will increase as fast as 2017.
