All those quotes were from a 1 week period.  You can't call them lies yet.   Smiley

well, they did say "this week" then next week, then the weekend, and then October, so not sure which one we should believe.  They all can't be true.

You're right.. you better sell those shares

this thread is full of people with no lives lol, I left my position at a 200% gain from IPO people are buying because of a fake address that supposedly the dividend address for LC when they claimed themselves that they are having trouble hashing,

do most of you have parkinsons? not even 24 hours ago everyone was frantic about how the pics are no good but today since someone bought like 10k shares up to .003 its all good....

What makes you think that itll jump back over previous highs when they said that they will have no news til 6 weeks from now,

its also funny what some people consider "making money" when the order book hardly allows for anything I would consider being that, thanks for the 3x labcoin ill get back in when everyone panics in the coming weeks

You forgot one thing. People are emotional here. Hope, dreams, disappointment, anger, pardon.

It's funny, isn't it.

Right when the momentum slows a bit and some big bids appear around 0.0025, we get people coming here and saying it's time to sell.

Weird.

The best manipulator here is labcoin (even if I think it is not on purpose). Some people here are making profit with this fuzziness. But what if labcoin was transparent ? It just wouldn't have happened. The share price would be stable and the rise would have been smooth. If there is someone to blame, it's labcoin IMO.

Wow!
What a ride:
For you guys late to the game, we have just witnessed a Smash Crash, right out of the Goldman Sacks Playbook.
First, quietly buy some shares, enough to influence the stock. Wait for an opportune moment, say when a startup tech company misses a deadline by a few days or gives some ambiguous signals to the market....

Then, trumpet the significance of the event, trounce the reputation, blow everything out of proportion and make semi-rational arguments based on psuedo-logic.
Flood the media, make a new reddit channel or two, and have your army of "evil" sock puppets ready to go...
500 "evil" posts in a few hours should suffice....easy if you have a pocket cyber-army that just can't wait to try out their brand new custom made shiny toys...
Next, sell all your shares at any price. Don't worry you can buy them back cheaper in a few hours!

Now sit back and watch the show... feed the flames every so often just for fun...

After the crash, switch sock puppets to the "good" guys, and post some more...
and buy up the order book at your nice new low price...

whoo hooo, just like the big boys....

Heh someone finally noticed Smiley
Do it once and you get a lot of imitators lol

I always considered this thread a volitalie game for technical trading he-he

My guess, and it is only a GUESS since they don't say much...

They screwed something up with the board design and it's not stable. Overheats or something. So they can run in bursts, but sustained operations burn out.

In true subcontractor fashion, they're terrified to admit they screwed up, so they tell us everything is fine while they scramble to fix it. That's the mindset of an employee, and they're still stuck in it.

Good analogy. It's not like we can fire him for screwing up, so he really has no reason to be afraid of admitting mistakes.

He might have been worried about the share price going down on bad status reports, but by now it should be ABUNDANTLY clear that trying to hide screwups will be much more detrimental then just admitting them.

Not sure if anyone else posted this, but the address Ytterbium found has mined a new block:

http://blockchain.info/address/1NBDEAYH49tZvFMJ95oa4kYrqgecgnc16C

2 blocks are too few to indicate a trend, but the pace looks quite right for 2TH/s.

While I'd definitely feel pretty good about guessing right, I kinda hoped they'd pick a cool vanity address like "1LABCOIN01go8ang98....." or something.

That node might just be some random person with $40k worth of bitfury chips.

Don't buy options if you don't know what you're doing.  You'll just be handing your money over to someone.

Options are contracts that give you the right to buy a share at a certain price by a certain time (the strike price), but, in order to do that you have to buy the contract (i.e. pay the premium)

You can make a ton of money doing so if you can predict the market, either up or down. For example, if you bought an option to buy the stock for 0.003 and paid a premium of 0.0002. You would only be out 0.0002, and you'd hold the option for a few days.   If the price never goes above 0.003 during that time period, you'd just lose all your money.

On the other hand, if the price were to go up to when the contract was up, 0.00304, you could buy a share at 0.0030, and then immediately sell them for 0.00304. You'd make 0.0002btc, but you'd still be out the original 0.0002 you paid for the contract, and you'd have a 50% loss.

On the other hand, let's say the price goes to 0.006.  You pay the premium, and you're out 0.0002.  But, you can now buy the shares for 0.003 and sell them at 0.006, for a 0.003 profit.  Minus the original 0.0002, that comes out to 0.0028 total profit. 1400% profit, compared to only a 50% rise in share price.

However, on btct.co the options are all way over priced, the "premium" price is much to high.  That means if you buy them you'll almost certainly just lose your money.

Mining address will be posted publicly before Wednesday. This will allow transparent monitoring of the hashing rate and block generation.

Why should we believe you this time?

The website will be updated this week in order to show our live hashing rate

We're mining in solo mode but live hashrate will be shown on our website next week.

we will deploy the same mechanism ASICMINER uses for signing found blocks and publish them on our website.

We will post board picture and more within the weekend, and as soon as we reach 10 TH of deployed hardware block labeling will be mirrored on the site with other stats like speed, etc.

We promise pictures of some boards mining will be up for this weekend.

We do not have 10 TH of chips out of nowhere, we said that we will setup block labeling as soon as we reach that speed, which could be on the first days of october, so in "about" two weeks, or mid october.

The next update will include a mining address as well.

Next proof to be posted will be mining address, clearly showing the rate of blocks creation.

What's 9+7? What's the date today? What will the date be on Wednesday?

So, when you say Labcoin lied, what you actually mean is that they will be a couple of days late?
