I'm still not up to speed 100% on the PoS stuff I guess -- how is this affecting difficulty? Is this why current difficulty fluctuates on my client from something like 0.00027 one second and then rockets back up to the current difficulty? Because despite which difficulty is displayed in the wallet, the actual network diff is accurate in cgminer. For example, right now my wallet shows a 0.0003125 difficulty despite cgminer reporting the accurate 337K diff (which is roughly 3.7, I beleive -- didn't do the math but you get the idea.) Is the PoS stuff driving the overall difficulty up?

I have PHS in my wallet that I pool-mined and deposited as far as 7 days back...and I have PHS blocks I solo-mined from 6 days ago onward. My current "Stake" remains at 0.00 PHS and other than the spare change attached to a few of my solo-mined blocks (which I assume is just from transactions) I haven't received anything outside of the standard blocks.

This is a mildly foreign concept to me despite the fact that I briefly read up on it. Is there a simple explanation...or is my wallet configured incorrectly? I don't have a problem reading up on it more when I get the time if that's what is required but if somebody can easily explain it I'd appreciate it.

Thanks for the Entry ----  I have THE SAME ISSUE....  Transferred about 1500phs into my wallet from a pool on the 1st and seeing no stakes yet...  Any Help or Info is welcome...  Left wondering...

I updated to V 1.2 wallet is encrpyted but unlocked by walletpassphrase  but  NO JUICE ... So, John?Huh

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

@digeros. I am in the same situation. On my other wallet, the stakes started to generate coins in the 9-th day. So... patience.

Okay...so my first deposits were on 7/29 (~850 PHS is all) and my stake is still at zero. That means they'll start popping up within one day max then, correct?

I was mining at phs.minar.cc for the first few days after I started...which completely killed my take. After switching to solo on 8/2 I was pulling in about 4 times as much PHS/hash.

I would like to know why, because on my other pools people are getting better results on the pool than solomining.

I'm not sure. Now that the difficulty has increased a bit, I'm going to try again to see what happens. Obviously a lot of the same people have been mining there since launch...so obviously if they felt they were getting shorted they probably would have left.

Maybe I just get insanely lucky solo-mining for some reason. At first, I just assumed that was the case. However, after several hours of simultaneous mining with identical hardware (half solo, half in the pool) the difference was significant (about 3 times more solo-mining.) It's such a difficult thing to compare...but I spoke to a few other people with similar results. All I can figure is that the pool wasn't keeping up with the blocks fast enough or something at the low difficulties?

Are the other pools also coins with a short block interval?

Using the wallet unlocking command isn't permanent?

Every time I close the wallet and reopen it, it's locked again, no matter what I set the timeframe for when I used the command initially.

The other pools are STR, DMD, CGB, JPC so you can compare coin specs, maybe that is some sort of issue, i dont know.

My wallet suddenly stopped syncing. I'm using 1.2, and everything's been fine up 'til now.

Edit: It's going backward. ~100 blocks remaining before, now it's ~101 blocks. Never seen that before.

Edit 2: Logfile has a lot of these:

I'm now having the same issue. Based on the network speed, I have a feeling a lot of people are having this issue. Any updates on this?

I am synced on v1.2 without problems.

Have you guys tried re-downloading the blockchain?

Also, try "checkwallet" and see if there are any mismatches.

Here are the nodes I have if you need to connect directly to one to get the blockchain:
69.254.120.152
46.150.89.173
198.50.233.22
188.252.16.109
72.23.76.121
64.120.17.149
70.29.193.48

I did, and now I've got ~1900 blocks remaining instead of ~100. Can't get past 6084. The pool seem to be working normally, tho.

Uh oh

My clients last block is 7977 but the pool is 7989.  What block are some of you on?  A fork would explain some of these problems.

So whats the official block chain height, dev??

Edit:  OK I restarted the client and it says the correct number of total blocks but now lets see if it is able to sync.. Nope synced to the shorter block chain.

6084 now, I was farther along before I rescanned and did all that. Now I'm stuck at "last received block was generated 2 days ago" when I hover over the progress bar.

I'm synced with last block 7982.  Must be two chains.
What happens when you restart the client?  I sync back to the shorter chain every time, even though it briefly shows trying to download the longer chain.
