And it wont go past     "blocks" : 6084, !!!

After following the above steps, I'm hanging on block 6084 as well.

ok, i got stuck at block 5500. closing and reopening the wallet got it to 6084 and now i'm stranded here as well. could it be that i need to have the addnodes in the conf file? i'm not mining FWIW, but i did buy 930 phs yesterday for 6 LTC, and i will be pissed if this doesn't get resolved.

I was also stuck at 6084 but I left it running and it took almost 30 minutes to sync up from that point.  So let it run its course.

-tb-

Edit:  Spoke too soon.  Now it's trying to sync again from block 6185.

well i bought 930 PHS yesterday from Moray, and now they are all showing up as "unconfirmed" could this mean they are being orphaned? if they get orphaned i will be opening a scam accusation against Moray unless he either a) reimburses my 6 ltc i paid or b) sends me 930 PHS to replace the orphaned transaction. this whole thing is pissing me off. what the fuck!!!

I wouldn't jump to conclusions just yet -- obviously there are some issues going on here but until they're all sorted out we can't assume anything. It's possible once everything syncs up your transaction will be confirmed and you'll be good to go.

In other news...after closing and opening the wallet a few more times over the course of an hour...I'm now up to block 6155. Right now it says 6155 of 8119 but moments ago the total was different (it's bouncing back-and-forth there as well.) It's been sitting at 6155 now for about 25 minutes...although the "blocks remaining" are continuing to increase.

There are 2 chains right now, it seems.

ok you are right, maybe i shouldn't jump to conclusions but the way it happened it seemed like maybe johntawaki and moray were running a scam on me. i will wait it out and see what happens. either way i'm gonna want either the 930 PHS back if it gets orphaned or my LTC if this shit doesnt get fixed. i'm at 6190 blocks of 8132 blocks downloaded. 930 PHS still uncomfirmed in my wallet.

I guess the new forked client doesn't disconnect old clients when it reaches the block where it should fork.

Well, I think the other person sent you the coins, only he was on the other chain. Nothing much he can do about that, same goes for you.

yeah bullshit, there is something he can do about it. he can refund me my ltc.. regardless of whether he knew he was on the forked chain, we all know he is now and its his responsibility to make it right.

As I PM'd him - I'll check the situation tonight, when I get back home from work. This, btw made my day, thank you, r3wt.
Now seriously, I would try -rescan option.

That was just over an hour ago, be patient. Not everyone is at home 24/7 Smiley

Thank you for your nice tone, MaGNeT. How can I successfully send coins to someone, with confirms and etc. if only I'm on the forked chain ? I really don't get it. I was using v1.2 as soon as it was posted here...

why don't you do the right thing and send me my ltc back. it doesn't matter if you did it on purpose or not. you need to reimburse me my money.

yes, please upload your blockchain so i can determine if i have been scammed or not. if the coins move back to confirmed i will remove the negative feedback from Moray, lock the scam thread i started against him and apologize for accusing him. until then i will continue to support the stance that he is a scammer and has scammed me. he still refuses to refund my LTC.

Hi guys,

here for everyone who is stuck in the wrong fork.
This (https://www.dropbox.com/s/koc5o9akrfva9ug/PhiloBlockchain-8190.zip) is a backup of my blockchain which was at the time at a block around 8190.

Here some proof that I'm on "the right" fork:
Code:
hero ~ # ./philosopherstone/src/philosopherstoned getinfo
{
    "version" : "v1.2.0.0",
    "protocolversion" : 60006,
    "walletversion" : 60000,
    "balance" : x.x,
    "newmint" : x.xx,
    "stake" : x.xx,
    "blocks" : 8196,
    "moneysupply" : 797097.47749300,
    "connections" : 8,
    "proxy" : "",
    "ip" : "x.x.x.x",
    "difficulty" : 1.41826091,
    "testnet" : false,
    "keypoololdest" : 1375034668,
    "keypoolsize" : 101,
    "paytxfee" : 0.01000000,
    "errors" : ""
}

additionally a few of my peers which are also on the right fork and not stuck on "the old" 6xxx chain.
Code:
addnode=24.6.21.198
addnode=46.150.89.173
addnode=64.120.17.149
addnode=70.29.193.48
addnode=125.79.142.201

Some instructions on how to use this backup!
- Backup your wallet.dat file and move it out of the Philosopherstone data directory
- Verify that you are actually running version 1.2.0.0 using the philosopherstoned getinfo command
- Unzip and copy blk*.dat files into your Philosopherstone data directory
- Remove any database/log* files and the peers.dat file from your Philosopherstone data directory
- Run Philosopherstoned with the addnode entries from above in your conf file
- Watch the debug log (tail -f debug.log for example) until the sync has caught up with the current block
- Stop Philosopherstoned
- copy your wallet into the Philosopherstone data directory
- issue Philosopherstone command -rescan to get everything recognized ...
YOU SHOULD BE FINE NOW  Wink

What this does:
- Resets the Philosopherstone block database and block database index to the state it was in at the time the snapshot was taken.
- With the -rescan command all your transactions should get recognized unless they have been made on the fork ... those will be discarded (they vanish without a trace)

Hope this helps!

    oen4many

[EDIT] If this worked for you consider donating a few PHS's to 9gbnW2vwTtUSNtoxhJbAEeW6DjfNQhbApC ... THX!  Wink
[EDIT2] NOTE This blockchain backup has been made on Linux. It might not work under a windows client (something I don't own .. Thank god  Cheesy)
