1.2-beta3 now ready, yes i combined beta 2 and 3 to simplify:

Source:
https://github.com/palmd/philosopherstone

win32 QT

http://rapidshare.com/files/1682016006/philosopherstone-qt12beta3.rar

-----===-----
Recommended Directions for upgrading:
-----===-----
(If from 1.2-beta1 and full chain, simply run the new 1.2-beta3 client, done!)

from old 1.2,1.1,  ole "el diablo 6084 de muerte", or 'el nino Coinupcabra 9346' (very very important to delete all the bad first)

1.Make sure client is not running. If you just closed it wait at 60 seconds for it to shutdown entirely.
2.Backup wallet.dat file (copy elsewhere) from your Philosopherstone directory, this file is the one that matters.
3.Delete all files/folders inside your Philosopherstone directory except wallet.dat and philosopherstone.conf, you can keep but better to delete peers.dat
4.Then run the new 1.2-beta3 client and keep an eye on the progress as it downloads the new chain.
5.If you see coins appear and reappear and other oddities, this can be normal, don't panic.
6.If the client hangs for a long time (more than 10-15 minutes or a typical computer) start over at #1
6.It's possible to gain or lose coins during this process. This is the healing process
7.Hopefully you have now joined the rest of the good and can again be a productive member of the network

Code:
getcheckpoint
{
"synccheckpoint" : "000000006cc258c753fb1b71a7267bd834bda8627e33cb15e57d9ba3fa291ac2",
"height" : 12524,

}

"height" : 12527,

}

getcheckpoint

"height" : 12531,
"timestamp" : "2013-08-15 14:12:35 UTC"
}
Everything seems OK, BCs accepted correctly in the new client.

But it's recommended to apply this fix in the next build:

https://github.com/palmd/philosopherstone/blob/master/src/main.cpp#L2730

Code:
-if (Checkpoints::IsSyncCheckpointTooOld(60 * 60 * 24 * 300) && !fTestNet && !IsInitialBlockDownload())
+if (Checkpoints::IsSyncCheckpointTooOld(60 * 60 * 24 * 6) && !fTestNet && !IsInitialBlockDownload())

Palmdetroit
Are you running BCs node as a daemon on VPS, or it's simply a desktop Qt client instance? Roll Eyes

Updating pool with new client!

Minar.cc pools are not running anymore, the domain was registered by someone else and I don't have any relationship with the new owner.

I mean that there is still too many old nodes, which are running unfixed 1.2 and <1.2.

An easy way to verify is it OK or not is open RPC console and run "getcheckpoint" command. If it prints checkpoint for the recent block, then everything is OK.

My 11400 PHS are still floating in aether even after update of clientr :{  Can a dev kind those for me

did you update to version 1.2 beta   and then delete all files in AppData EXCEPT wallet and config files -- digeros

Newest working version
https://github.com/palmd/philosopherstone

win32 client
http://rapidshare.com/files/2711045654/philosopherstone-qt12_beta1.rar

I will give you PHS to take the time to make a MEGA account and use that... RapidShare is just so slow and lame...

DONE:  you can get the BETA Version of 1.2 Philosopherstone-qt.exe  in RAR format  at the following link:

https://mega.co.nz/#!2BcElLza!DvzqCDg0NXSNfRZQ5TIa6y_ssBAslUjk3fF4WO8em1k   (the Bang that mega uses usually busts the link, so copy and paste into browser is best)

digeros, post addy ill send some PHS your way... but I really wanted PalmDetroit to start using Mega.

Also... to fix the Mega link issue... instead of leaving the whole URL in between the tags... change the opening tag to have it as url=THIS IS THE FULLADDRES inside the brackets and then type a name for the link to be displayed... like the below...

This is the same as the URL posted above

Updating pool with new client!

great I plan on slowing down releases from here on out, unless there is something unforeseen that needs a quick fix. I know downtime sucks

 I noticed that the difficulty being reported on roll-over of the blockchain checkmark  is the POS difficulty  but the console reports BOTH... can we get both on Roll-over? Or Perhaps just the more relevant for miners, just the POW diff.Huh

"proof-of-work" : 13.90077786,
"proof-of-stake" : 0.00173358,

ALSO does anyone know how to plug cryptocurrency market data into a (perhaps) dos-based or windows-based market analysis program so we can get charts like the following for alt coins...
