ERROR: CSyncCheckpoint::CheckSignature() : SetPubKey failed
Wrong build? Correct ... wrong build ... fixed it ... Thx for the hint ... had three different git clones in my home dir. one4many I will most likely need to make a new thread for PHS with the correct current build, to avoid these problems.

Hey Charles, I noticed most of the transactions are from back when all rewards where doubled, correct? I am not aware of any fork at that time as long as you were updating your client under the old developer, he was maintaining updates back then. Anyway as long as there wasn't a large fork and you weren't mining solo on your own dead end those should be on the main chain. Also are* some of those from Minar pool, there was a brief period of a dead chain but those dates seem to be before that? I will look into history of coin first week of release. edit.. you just ran the new client for the first time today?

Palmdetroit, it seems that v1.2.0.0-beta3 has issues downloading the blockchain.
I tried to re-download the blockchain and got this error:
"errors" : "WARNING: Checkpoint is too old. Wait for block chain to download, or notify developers."
Also, if you look at my earlier post, v1.2.0.0-beta3 kept losing sync and crashed with a PoS error. That's why I tried to re-download the whole blockchain.

This message should disappear after syncronization will be completed. If syncronization fails then this message will be visible until this will be resolved.
Try increasing banscore option value.

hi, yes I did see your posts and have tested the client downloading the whole blockchain a few times and do not get the error, so I will try to recreate it if possible. Just to make sure, you are using this client? there was a small hotfix for error reporting that did not change the version number. https://sourceforge.net/projects/philosopherstone/files/Is the source code on github up to date too? https://github.com/palmd/philosopherstone

I mined for a week or two when the coin first came out. I haven't been mining for a while. I ran the new client a couple of weeks ago and it kept getting stuck. I was able to get the complete chain but notice that all the coins were disappearing when the chain completed. I still have it on the original system that I mined the coins from. I wasn't paying attention to any forking the past month or so. I just decided to update my client when i noticed the threads talking about the coin. Hey Charles, I noticed most of the transactions are from back when all rewards where doubled, correct? I think the issue with new clients not showing correct balances and not syncing is caused by them getting stuck on bad forks.
I'm currently re-downloading the blockchain and it's paused on block 15003.
{ "blocks" : 15003, "currentblocksize" : 2901, "currentblocktx" : 5, "difficulty" : 1.82599610, "errors" : "WARNING: Checkpoint is too old. Wait for block chain to download, or notify developers.", "generate" : false, "genproclimit" : -1, "hashespersec" : 0, "networkhashps" : 45733852, "pooledtx" : 33, "testnet" : false }
We need a list of good nodes to add to our config files, so new clients don't get stuck on bad chains.

The problem I am having is caused by an issue with the PoS generation with fractional values less than 1, which causes the client to crash.
Balthazar suggested to me that we apply code from Novacoin to PHS to fix this problem. I don't know where this fix is in the NVC source code. If someone could point out this section of code in NVC, I could apply it to Palmdetroit's git repository.

The pool phs.minar.cc seems to be down. I hope they aren't having the same kernel.cpp error with their PHS wallet.
This is the error I'm getting on multiple computers with both new and old wallets:
philosopherstoned: kernel.cpp:394: unsigned int GetStakeModifierChecksum(const CBlockIndex*): Assertion `pindex->pprev || pindex->GetBlockHash() == (!fTestNet ? hashGenesisBlock : hashGenesisBlockTestNet)' failed.
Is anyone getting this same error?

The pool is back up.. sorry about that...

Minar.cc pools are not running anymore, the domain was registered by someone else and I don't have any relationship with the new owner.

Started 1.2b3 client and seen very much orphans in the log, it seems there are still many bad nodes. This could cause the slowdown of synchronization, be patient. It's not a problem, these "stucks" are normal behavior. Just start client and forget about this... Spend some time with your friends or playing your favorite game.
