The problem you are all having is really a legal one.
Some people like the gov't statutory limited liability insurance schemes.
Others want strict and full liability for injuries IN FACT to people and property.

In my eyes the role of the government must be limited, and there should be no room for self-enrichment

It  is an ideal and sensible question to ask why we have government in our society. Government is purely an institution constituted to serve the masses and therefore should be free from all forms of personal, financial and political gains for those at the helm of affairs. From all sense of it government has many roles to play in the lives of the citizens. It is the responsibility of government to provide her citizens with quality education, better housing and loan scheme through a financial institution. Above all government should be keen in providing an enabling environment for the citizens who voted them into power to establish and do business.

Lastly, the salaries of serving political figures and leading figures in the public sector like the police and defence force should be voted on by the public themselves.

Totally agree. As far as I remember, in ancient Greece, for instance, people were appointed government positions as a form of service - you gain no personal benefit, but your work is to serve society. It was their duty, their responsibility - now politicians work mainly to maintain their own welfare, only pursuing people`s interests when the election is near.
I wonder what`ll happen if this consept is brought back to life, at least as an experiment - we might see some very interesting results.

The first and foremost role of the Government is to ensure that it’s citizens are able to enjoy their fundamental human rights as well as make that they are safe from all harm whether domestic or international and make sure that there is a suitable atmosphere for peace and development as well as the achievements of personal goals,

Extending water use statistics beyond what is traditionally accounted will provide governments with the information needed to manage their water resources and external water dependence in a comprehensive way. Traditional national water use accounts only refer to the water withdrawal within a country. They do not distinguish between water use for making products for domestic consumption and water use for producing export products. They also exclude data on water use outside the country related to the water footprint of consumption.

Government should be automated. Automation should be a free public service; therefore nearly full control.

There are some bits of automation you can't let the government do, which is why I didn't vote absolute; but I did the whole "please-explain" thing. If anyone actually quotes this, I'll be pretty amazed.
