Oh come on, does that too much? I mean, if they use bitcoin for the wrong way it could be possible, but what's the matter when you just collecting bitcoin by write some post in the forum or share the post with facebook, twitter etc.? It doesn't make any sense.

Well it's just unfortunate, but something like this will keep on happening in 2018, the popularity of bitcoin has been too much and the government has started to take action, you got two choice, secretly using bitcoin and buying things in bitcoin and cash out outside of your country or just stop using it

Although its not a law a circular has a full effect on a law the only difference here is that a circular can be easily change or be remove at all. The Bangladeshi Central Bank does not know what they are doing and is obviously acting on its own abusing their own seated power. Once a citizen will be caught transacting with Bitcoin they have the burden to prove that they are really using Bitcoin for money laundering and for financing terrorist which is really hard to do so as it is because you will trace it in the Blockchain which will be a never ending route.

what exactly were you waiting for?!!! using bitcoin has been illegal in your country from 2014! nearly 4 years ago! here is a quote from 15 Sep 2014: "Bangladesh's central bank has warned against dealing in Bitcoin, saying anybody caught using the virtual currency could be jailed under the country's strict anti-money laundering laws."you can read more about it here: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/currency/11097208/Why-Bangladesh-will-jail-Bitcoin-traders.htmlWhat should we do now, Guys? the same thing as the rest of your country have been doing. either stop using bitcoin or say F* you to your government and enjoy your financial freedom... and whenever you felt down just check out what people in Zimbabwe are doing. bitcoin is also illegal there. they use free electricity to mine bitcoin, use that to buy food from Amazon, deliver the food to a adjacent country, import it inside country and feed their people.

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip. Whales are those who keep buying the dip.

And the wait is officially over! The worst news in this year is Bitcoin is Totally illegal in Bangladesh. If someone trade bitcoin then he will be punish by police in Jail! What should we do now, Guys? First off, use a VPN when accessing exchanges or this forum for that matter if you want to go to those lengths of security. Naturally, as bitcoin grows bigger governments will want to control it. Well it's just unfortunate, but something like this will keep on happening in 2018, the popularity of bitcoin has been too much and the government has started to take action, you got two choice, secretly using bitcoin and buying things in bitcoin and cash out outside of your country or just stop using it
I agree with what you have to say, though not your last part of the sentence. Try finding methods that exchange bitcoin out side of Bangladesh. Don't give up on it straight away. I hope Bangladesh realizes that instead of banning it they could instead heavily tax it (would be another option IMO (not good, but still not a ban)) and make money off it.

What should we do now, Guys? Such irony from these governments. They said... He also thinks all the central banks should stop this ‘gambling’, which can ‘put the global financial system at risk’. Bangladesh Central Banks are investing in Bitcoin, yet the Government wants to ban it? That's crazy and I bet this story may not be completely over. Does Bangladesh not have casinos? Horse betting? Cricket betting? Gambling likely exists...if they believe Bitcoin is betting, then it's no different then betting at a casino.

What should we do now, Guys? Sorry for you guys so when you posted this I searched for that news so here it goes https://bdnews24.com/economy/2017/12/27/bangladesh-bank-warns-against-transaction-in-illegal-bitcoin-other-cryptocurrenciesIt's up to you to decide on what you are going to do now, it's either you'll be a law abiding citizen and you'll just let this declaration calm and be gone soon. Once Bangladesh government sees good profit on crypto for sure they will revise it and will take time to adopt it.

Change your IP. Dont buy using bank accounts. That is all you have to do. Stay at home. I dont think they are that advanced to trace everything that you are doing in your internet. Maybe you could buy bitcoin person to person. Just use western union and dont tell them what the transaction is for. Wow! I just thought you steps of how to do it in a illegal way.

Not great for our BD brothers and sisters, I guess.
It just goes to show that when it comes to protecting their own best interest, the government can wear a mask to make it look like they're the good guys when in reality, they're not. Regulating is one thing, but stating that it would be illegal to trade bitcoins in their own country is another. It's either you move out of the country to pursue your bitcoin dreams or just stop trading to avoid possible jail time.

Everything that they don't fully get a hold of is a threat to the country and the economy. I hope this event does not happen in my country. I am a bit doubtful that it will soon happen in a lit of country. There are alot of scam issues going around and the people who don't have knowledge about it believe the scam things than the thing that happen in this forum and trading.

I hope that your government reverse theor decision about this.

What should we do now, Guys? Well that is a very sad news coming from Bangladesh if this information is true then the government has totally lost it because this is just the bigining if illegal use of bitcoin, what the government should know is that bitcoin is decentralized and at that it can not be ban by any government or institution. As long as there is internet connection in the country bitcoin activities will still take place non stop, even you giving us this information on this platform show the government inability to interfere in bitcoin activities. What the government should do is to embrace bitcoin the drive a mean for bitcoin to be regulated and tax.

There might be a good reason that BTC is banned in Bangladesh like it affects the economy of the country or something. But in this news, is it only the BTC and not included the other coin type or did they included all the other type of cryptocurrencies?

Bitcoin is not a crime, but it is not decentralized as you can see bitcoin in my country is not that legalized but its not a crime. as also as bitcoin is not gambling. Gambling is not a sin. Some other say that bitcoin is not legal in the bangladesh. Its a bad news. as long as we dont harm any people. I see bitcoin has many advantage rather than its disadvantage. It has many benefits.

I don't see how this possible. Bitcoin is anonymous, and how will government know if I am buying or selling bitcoins on a foreign exchange. Can the government banned all exchanges website across the globe. If the government can, then I think is possible to banned Bitcoins.

yes I don't think bitcoin is a crime, perhaps because the characteristic factor of bitcoin is considered by some countries to be an illegal transaction, but in fact so far the bitcoin role is so great for a change as well as improving the living standards and individual economic changes of its users, and I think bitcoin also has a big share of the economic changes of a country that has many bitcoin users, because bitcoin has been able to create business opportunities through the Internet and of course has helped those who have no job and fixed income. With bitcoin they currently have a pretty good income and able to meet their living expenses and needs.

Yes its clear defeat of government as its accepting the really of failure of control with technology. BD belongs to tier 3 country means poor country. Governments of such countries are mostly dominated with political power, and if controller of such countries don't have mentality to adopt then its big loss of country's business, development, economy, future and growth . And such centralization will lead to undeveloped country.

There's a lot of issue regarding legality of bitcoin and surely there are really some who banned bitcoin transactions like what you have experience we cannot help but to understand the situation because as of now bitcoin is still in the process of entering the world's market so there are really some flaws in the government that needs to be fix its about their understanding and appreciation regarding cryptos that needs to established first

The same goes for many other countries. Poland has identical situation right now. UK in complete political and social disarray, German people split across over immigration and attacks. The whole western world is unhappy, prices in Norway would make you run back to America, the weather would make you into a depressed alcoholic, taxes in Denmark are up to 90% and 66% income tax average. There isn't perfect place in the world.

Does your government prohibit Bitcoin use for companies and exchanges only or pohibit all its citizens from using it? In the first case, you have nothing to fear and yo can se yor Bitcoins without being punished. But, in the second case I think you should stay out of troubles and find a way to liquidate your coins and wait, maybe your legisltors will change their mind in the future. It s possible to use Bitcoin without being noticed, however, you shold not do it.

what exactly were you waiting for?!!! using bitcoin has been illegal in your country from 2014! nearly 4 years ago! here is a quote from 15 Sep 2014: "Bangladesh's central bank has warned against dealing in Bitcoin, saying anybody caught using the virtual currency could be jailed under the country's strict anti-money laundering laws."you can read more about it here: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/currency/11097208/Why-Bangladesh-will-jail-Bitcoin-traders.htmlWhat should we do now, Guys? the same thing as the rest of your country have been doing. either stop using bitcoin or say F* you to your government and enjoy your financial freedom... and whenever you felt down just check out what people in Zimbabwe are doing. bitcoin is also illegal there. they use free electricity to mine bitcoin, use that to buy food from Amazon, deliver the food to a adjacent country, import it inside country and feed their people. Looks like an impressive against oppression by governments! Hail Bitcoin!! Bitcoin was illegal in Bangladesh, But it wasn't crime that time. But now police catching bitcoin holders/ Miners, And mining of any cryptocurrency also illegal in Bangladesh Now. So, It's totally officially crime now bro

What should we do now, Guys? I think this is a bad news for you. Cryptocurrency is a good way to earn money. Well, if it's illegal in your country and if you think that your income will be worth it, why not move to another country and start trading or mining there.

Bitcoin is the currency and it is not the tool or gun through which we can do a crime. Bitcoin is the digital currency which can be used for many jobs if you are a criminal may you receive amount in bitcoin but it is not the fault of bitcoin it is up to you if you use it for good purpose and if you are not good person then you will use it for criminal activities. It is the bitcoin which provide income source to the needy people and it is bitcoin through which many students are completing their studies.

If it is true, it won't stay long like that. Bitcoin is basically decentralized and it can't be totally controlled by anybody, bank or government. But it would really be a sad news. In our country Bitcoin is not yet a problem I hope it would stay this way in the future.

why not use anonymous coins like monereo, deep onion or Zcash?
Transactions with these coins can definetely not be traced.
For example deep onion uses the tor network!

It is useless to stand on the ground to check the power. It is not so good to manage the country with primitive methods when technology is so developed. The important thing is to provide the substructure of the block-chain technology and find its place in the future. Every country that stands in the way of innovations is a country that has not been developed yet. Even this news is unbearable

Bangladesh Central Banks are investing in Bitcoin, yet the Government wants to ban it? That's crazy and I bet this story may not be completely over.
I've never heard of a country that has more than one Central Bank. How is that even possible? why not use anonymous coins like monereo, deep onion or Zcash? Transactions with these coins can definetely not be traced. For example deep onion uses the tor network!
It's not about tracking the transactions. You have coins on your wallet, right? How did those coins got there? Simple, you made a transaction!!!! Case closed.
Yeah, the situation is a disaster in Europe /sarcasm off. Let's all fly to Pakistan where you can earn 200$ a month, or in Bangladesh when you're happy with 100. How about India that recently voted the minimum daily wage to be above 2$ ? And what about Poland? What the hell is wrong with Poland? I'm asking this because... this time is personal!!!!

What i heard is that Bangladesh already banned bitcoin but you are talking as if this is a new development ,make sure you live by the law to avoid serious consequences, why would anyone want to risk jail time trading bitcoin if the end result will be bad,you have to either find an alternative to trade your coins and wire your money, that is the only option.

If bitcoin has been outlawed in your country Bangladesh, it then means it becomes a crime to indulge bitcoin in Bangladesh. This is really sad and definitely your government will feel the brunt economically. The Bangladeshi government should seek China for advice on this.

It's a pity this has happened in your country. My advice is for you to be law abiding. You can continue using BTC for shopping and other needs and then cash out outside your country. This makes the process a bit tedious but can you do better?

This is very sad indeed. unfortunately I believe more countries will join in banning the bitcoin including China and Russia. When one or both of those countries ban bitcoin it will have a major effect on the market. Like what was mentioned earlier look to countries like Zimbabwe or Venezuela where they actually use the bitcoin for a currency because it has actual value unlike the fiat currency that hold very little to no value. Also Governments around the world have Been unjustly over taxing the poor to pay for their political agendas with fiat money. Poor people have ALWAYS been a easy target by governments because they dont have the necessities needed to protect themselves . Cryptocurrency is an equalizer and bullys never like to fight fair. Bitcoin Is not illegal in my country so I can’t give you any real advice but to look at the other countries like Zimbabwe in Venezuela. Fight the good fight brother!

What should we do now, Guys? I think you shitposters and spammers from Bangladesh should just give up and accept it. I wish it gets banned in Pakistan too. The spam will go down by at least 30% if that happens. It's funny how some governments are manifesting how scared and uncertain of their financial situation they are by banning everything they don't understand. If something gives people more freedom and independence it's going to be banned immediately.

And to make things worse, it's not just the government in those countries that doesn't get Bitcoin, the same can be said by the posters here. I'm getting tired, angry, and probably will end up in a sanatorium trying to explain how bitcoin works, how mining works, how transactions works, how mining bitcoin is not like mining iron and so on.......bare with me, I'm letting off steam too right now But you forgot Filipinos, I think they are the majority around here these days. And in Philippines, bitcoin is legal. Should we be happy ?!?

Some governments like china also restrict the trading of btc. What a pity! The huge computing power in china make this a great obstacle for crypto currency.
It’s very bad news that someone is using bitcoin in crime because bitcoin is very safe and sound currency it actually helping humanity so we need to respect bitcoin because it’s not here to use it for bad things we need to use bitcoin for such a good things such as charity and donation and in poor countries they need bitcoin for better life I will also request to bitcoin to find a solution for it to fix this problem because bitcoin is good for its users.

What should we do now, Guys? Well thats a very bad news. I am from India just a neighbour to Bangladesh and if such a thing is happening in Bangladesh its quite obvious that India will also be affected by such transition. India which is unable to fix its mind upon legality of bitcoin might also take some harsh step if it sees Bangladesh gaining some success with this decision. Moreover banning is really not the solution to it. Regulation is need to control bitcoin not banning.

Is it only Bitcoin or any crypto-currency trading is prohibited. If it is only Bitcoin as you say, then that will not be practical only to limit that. Anyway, what is the reason that government is giving. This might be a idea of some unknown people in the regulatory institute. They do not know how what this is, and do not want to study what it is. So easy way is to ban it all. They can regulate it according to the states low and control some functionalities as required, but totally prohibiting will make the things worse. Anyway if county rise some voices there might be chance.

This is really sad to hear. I get it that some people want to stay away from it, but punishing others for their involvement? Eh, it's just a step to far. I just hope it will get reversed soon and people can do whatever they want with their money. Worst case scenario here is that other ignorant governments follow this example and make it hard for their citizens. Can you picture a world where people are hiding their crypto from the police? No thanks.

If that's truly implemented then surely this would affect the user community of the particular country very much. For a growing economy inflow of fiat will surely make positive impact upon the growth of the economy. I believe people will surely continue to use through some other means and this seems to be completely a wrong decision from the government.

Excuse me, I do not quite understand how it is possible to track operations with Bitcoin in relation to a particular person. If all currency exchanges occur on informal exchanges, where the user does not even give any of his data, and any person can make a lot of operations with different crypto-currencies per day! Then how to understand that it was a particular citizen who operated with the crypt, and then transferred it all to the Fiat, and deduced it on a bank card in state currency? After all, the proceeds to the bank card in the state currency are not considered illegal, as I understand it

Aren't those one of the poorest countries there? No wonder they're banning something that can make their people stop working for slave wages. Is it only bitcoin or other cryptos aswell that this law affects? Maybe switch to some other coins or start using the one that is used in tor network, deeponion was its name i think.
All cryptos, but who cares? Bangladesh is such a shithole. It will only give people one more reason to move somewhere else, like the nearby India. The Bangladesh Bank, as originally reported by the Agence France-Presse (AFP), has said that the use of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies is unlawful under existing anti-money laundering (AML) statutes.

That's not logic at all. Bitcoin is not a crime. That's the result of the criminal activities that are funded with bitcoin. It affected bitcoin image worldwide and several countries are starting to make severe decisions towards bitcoin. I really hope that changes soon otherwise it would have negative effects on bitcoin.

sometimes the government does not care about technology. so any technology that can make money like bitcoin or taxi online for example uber in some countries consider it illegal.

What should we do now, Guys? As far as working in this forum and earning bitcoins,I would suggest you to use VPN and continue earning bitcoins. If you have any friend abroad using bitcoin, just sell him your bitcoins and ask him to send money to your bank account.Hope this would be little bit useful to you. You idea was right but its still risky. Earning bitcoin while its illegal in a country is the same as making a crime. Its just so sad that Bangladesh didn't understand what bitcoin really is and how important it was to people who use it. But if you still want to earn bitcoins, I think its not that bad at all because we all know that bitcoin is a big help to us. Just be careful.

Yes, that's right. Bitcoin has done a lot of untimely work that has completely banned the Bitcoin of our country. If anyone in our country was caught working after the bikini then he warned that Strict would get the punishment. Bitcoin is a site through which any person can do any unprofessional work. There is no legal affidavit or evidence in this. So the more part of the work is done through bitcoin.

Bitcoin was always illegal in Bangladesh, but this is the first time that the authorities are acting against the Bitcoin users. I am worried because in Nepal also the authorities are engaging in a crackdown of the crypto-currency users. Recently the Nepali police arrested more than half a dozen Bitcoin users and charged them with various economic offenses.

You know, people like you should not be allowed to talk about bitcoin. 20 years forced labor jail time for every time your say bitcoin. If anyone in our country was caught working after the bikini So you're not allowed to get caught in bikini in Bangladesh Bitcoin is a site through Bitcoin is not a site but you sure are a *****. They did not charge them for using bitcoin. They charged them for an unlicensed exchange. Just to make things clear. Here (and probably all over the world) honey is legal. But if i'm going to open a shop an sell honey without a licence, without paying taxes I'm going to get in trouble.

every government has different rules, including in your country. Thinking bitcoin as a crime is "excessive" and will have a negative impact on bitcoin, and it would be even worse if many countries do the same thing as your country. it would be more natural if the government only warned people to be more careful in using or investing in bitcoin technology.

Bangladesh should revise law regarding cryptocurrency. They should not capture users because they are just investors and they are not dping illegal. Instead, they better trace and put in jail those who do cyber criminal activity like scamming and phising. They dont even know that in Japan, bitcoin adds a 3% economic GDP. https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-adds-03-to-japans-gdp-claim-nomura-analystsThat is why crypto could be a great help to a nations economy and its community.

Bitcoin gives a financial freedom to persons who are into the bitcoin community, how will it be a crime when posting on blogs, forums, and sharing on social networking sites. It is a digitized form of currency can be used world wide in exchange for products and services without a third party involvement in the transaction and all transactions are recorded in the public ledger. But some use this technology for criminal activities such as drug dealing, smuggling and so on all I want to ask the Bangladesh Government is that all this same criminal activities are taking place without bitcoin too which means fiat currencies are also used in all such activities and why don't your Government take measures for that or will they still stop fiat currency then the Government will have to think of barter system. To the people in Bangladesh all I would suggest is that to get out of your country;D, may be in the future when the value of bitcoins still keep on rising your Government will accept this technology.

That was a terrible news for all of you. Well, I can't blame your government for implementing that law because I'm sure that all they want is only the best for your country, just understand and try to look at the positive side of it. Maybe in their point of view, cryptocurrency gives more harmful effects instead of more benefits in your country that's why they did it.
Though it's very hard to accept, I'm sorry to say but you can't do anything about it unless your government changed their minds. It's better for you to find another way of making good income and never insist to use btc again because you might get caught, I'm sure that you don't want to be imprisoned right?

it's a bad note, and I'm worried, if it applies in all countries that have not legalized bitcoin, I think spreading and bitcoin volume will decrease and bitcoin prices will go down. as long as the world government has not made firm rules about bitcoin, then I think all we have to do is keep mining, so it can maintain the existence of bitcoin.

If you have such a policy in your country, it really is a pity for you. In my impression, Bangladesh is a small country, but it is also close to India, and it should be an open country. Is it that bitcoin has already affected your country's banking industry?

What should we do now, Guys? Ooops, that's sad to hear it.But still you can hold your bitcoins because trading is the illegal and you can make more profits in holding the bitcoin also but it needs to be in long term.So you just buy more bitcoins and other coins and keep it in cold storage the ban maybe removed in the future. But you still can buy and sell bitcoins from exchange of other countries because bitcoin transaction is fully anonymous but we have to respect the rules of our country so it is better to stop it completely.

I think you have to keep silence about BTC. If noone knows you use it, if you dont use exchanges, if you dont chat about it at local social networks, if you dont brag your profit, if you do transactions between users you in trust with, if you dont pay attention on you in general then you will be safe. I doubt polise will be able check every citizen to find outlaws.

Though, We will be waiting for the good news about bitcoin.
How does a bank get hacked through bitcoin? The statement in bold fonts does not make much sense to me. I will need you to shed more light on this statement.

Oh come on, does that too much? I mean, if they use bitcoin for the wrong way it could be possible, but what's the matter when you just collecting bitcoin by write some post in the forum or share the post with facebook, twitter etc.? It doesn't make any sense.
It does matter when the government (and even the users) is ignorant of how bitcoin works and think it's related to HYIPs. In my country for example, the use of bitcoin for failed HYIPs and Ponzi schemes was how bitcoin made an entry till people became 'smart' and left these schemes. Now the mention of bitcoin to any person is quickly associated to these ponzi schemes and other negative ones.

that is impossible! you may have missed the news. as long as there are people in your country who are investing in bitcoin then there must be a law about it somewhere. it may not be exactly set in stone and saying it is legal but be sure that it is discussed and if they have not set any regulations yet then it is legal.

Why is it good mate I mean if in some countries bitcoin adopting will get down then it will affect bitcoin in our country as well? For me bitcoin is not a crime because a lot of things are being happened around us that are highly crimped but people are not blaming it but the innocent bitcoin only, it is good to have bitcoin with you and invest in bitcoin as much as you can invest right now.

That technology was invented last century. It's called bank transactions and bank statements!!! Just because you're spending the coins over internet and buying things from other countires you are still breaking the laws where you live. Still against the law. Or are you going to use localbitcoins? Probably the worst idea ever. You can be sure that by now half of the ads are run by the police. And what does it mean to "do bitcoin" ?

And the wait is officially over! The worst news in this year is Bitcoin is Totally illegal in Bangladesh. If someone trade bitcoin then he will be punish by police in Jail! What should we do now, Guys? That's a definite disadvantage. That way Bitcoin circulation will be limited because we can not make transactions premises free. But you can still use Bitcoin, basically Bitcoin is very free to use provided we have internet access. Technology is on the rise and we can do anything with Technology. Maybe out there are still many people who are lucky because the local government supports the use of Bitcoin. This means your job and all of us are to convince all governments to take advantage of Bitcoin. Bitcoin is a thing to be developed, Bitcoin prohibition will only make Bitcoin disappear slowly.

I don't know why your government is doing such a thing. whereas in the positive side, bitcoin can make many people more independent. but I believe, bitcoin and other crypto will be accepted throughout the country as often as time.

Governments need to realize that blockchain is an evolution of payments and store of value if they need to keep up with the rest of the globe. Sooner rather the technology needs to be adopted by all governments in one form or the other.

And the wait is officially over! The worst news in this year is Bitcoin is Totally illegal in Bangladesh. If someone trade bitcoin then he will be punish by police in Jail! What should we do now, Guys? Well if it was me who lives on your country, i will try to accept the law, because government can do bad things that you can not imagine. The law only state that you can not trade bitcoin right? Then you still can hold your bitcoin until your country make a new law for bitcoin in your country. Nowadays, some countries already accept and make bitcoin as a legal payment, if it goes well and proved can grow national economy of a country, other countries will surely follow it and will reverse the banning law.

I think this problem will be resolved very soon. The government is not much interested in it. They don't know the sectors and uses of bitcoin. When they will realize that it is the blessing, then they will announce it as legal currency.

And the wait is officially over! The worst news in this year is Bitcoin is Totally illegal in Bangladesh. If someone trade bitcoin then he will be punish by police in Jail! What should we do now, Guys? I'm sorry to hear that Bangladesh decided against bitcoin. Just read it somewhere that the Central Bank of Bangladesh issued a circular banning bitcoin. Take note that the main reason is that: “Transaction with this currency may cause a violation of the existing money laundering and terrorist financing regulations,”
I'm sure that there are penalties if you are caught doing bitcoin transactions in any form. China used OTC, so there's a chance that you can still engage though, but it must be underground to say the least. It's really pity to see that a lot of governments are really against bitcoin. They need to understand that bitcoin is design to be used as micro payments and not to be used by criminals. Also, Bangladesh people can take advantage of bitcoin because I'm sure that it has given its citizens a decent money as a sidelined. Too bad they the government is also looking at the negative side of using bitcoin.

I think it's a bad idea to ban bitcoins. They should made a law to collect taxes from the profit of trading digital currency rather than banning it. I believe it won't be good for neither government nor bitcoin users. I hope they will change it for good.

I'm sure such a thing does not happen only in Bangladesh. Many countries are banning bitcoins as well. All you have to do is just stay calm, do not worry about it and keep doing whatever you do in bitcoin in secret. After knowing the government forbid, you need to do it more carefully.

Well, this shows Bitcoin is really the disruptor of the long established schemes, the goverment should be working for the people, not the people for the government. Bitcoin is empowering people as it is decentralized currency, store of value and it allows us to hedge against the inflationary risks of FIAT or centralized currencies.

I think this thread would be great if it's in a sub-forum legal . What is the relationship between the topic and the content of your thread? Is the effect of bitcoin criminal practices affecting the legality of bitcoin in Bangladesh? Well, many have argued that, there should be another preventive that should be attempted, not only by banned bitcoin.

Aw, i'm so sorry to hear that news. Even having bitcoin banned in my country is already so bad and annoying. Still good thing it's not considered something illegal and will be put in jail for whoever use it. But hearing this, it somewhat afraid me too that this will happen in my country. We can't do anything to oppose goverment rules, and seriously i can't understand them. Maybe they intend good things, but seriously it already crush many people dreams.

Sorry to hear such news and I hope laws change soon in your country.
However to bypass government when trading bitcoin you can do so by using these below tools:
1.Tails OS, (Linux live OS that doesn't leave any trace on PC when PC is turned off, electrum pre installed there) 2.TOR Browser( already pre installed in Tails OS) 3. Optional use VPN if you don't have access to the above tools.
It is easy to hide your activity regarding exchanges in Bitcoin and trading but I wonder how will you convert to FIAT money since you say that your country has very strict laws regarding money laundering ?

It is very telling when a nation bans Bitcoin. It's one thing to warn people about it using at their own discretion but when you ban Bitcoin it makes me wonder what the real reasoning behind that decision is. It's also telling that corruption is so high in Bangladesh and I can imagine a small amount of people would be threatened by the lack of financial control Bitcoin would bring if the people of Bangladesh decided to adopt Bitcoin.

Government, Central bank and many economy experts are completely against cryptocurrencies. We have bitcoin exchanges in our country. People are trading regularly and earning money. My country have nearly 14% bitcoin traders. Still Central bank of my country is issuing warnings from time to time against use or investment in bitcoin currency. Use of bitcoin is illegal in my country. Government is considering investment in decentralised, digital currencies as most risky trade. In future they may ban bitcoin completely or will regulate it.

Feels bad for people of bangladesh who uses bitcoin and for the government who do not fully understand the technology now. They can't control so they banned and illegalized it, which they think the right decision to have, like people , we are scared to things that we dont know so we ignore it or destroy it. But do they gonna know who are doing bitcoin matters ? tracking using vpn? house to house checking ? if they will be doing the banning phase they should also stop selling cellphones and computers to knock down crypto on their country isnt it ?

I'd guess talking to your local political representative might be a valid step normally, but I see that the central bank in Bangladesh went as far as to request citizens not to “spread information about it.” so you are not even supposed to tell anyone. http://bitcoinist.com/bitcoin-still-illegal-six-countries/

Hehehe... We don't care about it! My friend is a Newbie army of BD! He also doing trade in Bitcoin !! hopefully soon BD gov't will understand what bitcoin is. ! for sure they gonna be love it!
Hope so. But our government doesn't understand all time, which is the best for the future. Bitcoin is a crime because it has no tax or fee! And one bank got hacked through bitcoin! Ridiculous! Though, We will be waiting for the good news about bitcoin. I don't think it will last longer... Bitcoin has a huge potential both country and its people may be your Country is making a law or they thinking how they will implement regulations on using bitcoin and I don't think they will not bring it back maybe it will take a while but I am sure they are just making some regulations or law to make it legal.

Bitcoin is legal in many countries,I was lucky because bitcoin is legal in my country.I suggest you to use of any paying VPN to avoid of this.If you use of Vpn,you can't be tracked by the police or any one.But for that you need to spend some money.I think it will be a temporary ,bitcoin will became a legal in your country also.

Sadly but in India income tax has made some rules on Bitcoin. They clearly stated that any money imported in a country or exported from the country has to pay tax so they have made like 15 or 20 set of rules which every Bitcoin at should follow in India. I do not see it as an offence but it is good to pay taxes but I do not understand why government is even taking the taxes all I know is that Income taxes are taken from Those who work on somewhere and get income and government takes tax from those to help on services like police department and fire station.

I think that poor countries like Bangladesh, not meaning to offend anyone, should take the advantages of bitcoin and help themselves and their citizens and not to ban it. Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies have the potential to help the economy, even if only on individual level so it's pitty not to take the chances.

Around the Asian countries bitcoin as well other digital currencies were gaining more popularity. In this time such a news from one among the country is simply bad for a growing network. Bangladesh is near to Nepal and here too the bitcoin had got banned, but people continue to use through the Indian traders.

sometimes the government does not care about technology. so any technology that can make money like bitcoin or taxi online for example uber in some countries consider it illegal.
perhaps the government can not yet accept the concept of advanced technology. or it may cost very high if using a new technology concept. of course the government has a good reason would want or want a new technology...
