Is this thread actually about altcoin mining?
It's hard to filter through the hardware wallet and mining hardware talk to find people talking about mineable alts. Am I in the wrong thread here?
Discussion of hardware options to mine altcoins certainly IS part of altcoin mining. It would apper you're looking for a more focused thread though, this series of threads does tend to be all-encompasing.

there is no such thing as a bad profit, anything more is greed .... @Bankincoins --- we discuss many altcoins here and best strategies to mine them. Which coin are you referring too?

Can someone who has paid BTC for NewEgg purchases help me out possibly?
I just tried to do this for the first time but got stuck at this point:
- I want to pay from either my Bittrex wallet as I sold off a few alts in order to pay this invoice (I assume this is possible).
- After choosing Bitcoin payment option on NewEgg, the bitpay window pops up wit hteh QR code (on the scan tab) for a phone scan. Since I want to pay with exchange wallet, I click on the Copy tab and the exact amount of BTC appears, along with a URL that starts with bitcoin... https//bitpay.com.... followed by a string of numbers that doesnt look long enough to be a BTC address.
- The instruction say to copy that full URL into your wallet's send screen, but I don't think this will work in the BTC address field send screen on Bittrex, will it? Doesnt that need to be a standard BTC address only?
Am i missing something or can you not send payment from an exchange wallet like this?
Does Newegg accept BTC payments? Newegg.ca didn't give me this option during my last purchase last month Yeah, newegg.com absolutely does. I did a bit more reading and it seems likely that you need to open a bitpay account/wallet in order to use that option but any advice from Phil or others who have used it would still be appreciated. cant help here I dont pay newegg with btc. This happen to me just last week when I tried to pay my January hosting bill at GND. After talking to GND.... the solution was to install Bitpay app on your mobile (I use a Samsung Note 8 ). I never did have to do that - looks like Bitpay changed their internal process and forcing everyone to use their app. Fund your Bitpay wallet (treat it like a mobile wallet) and use their builtin QR scanner to pay. Good luck. Trying to pay Newegg from an exchange wallet has been VERY PROBLEMATICAL all along - the last couple months Bitpay has been having major issues even working with THEIR OWN SPECIFIED "works well" wallet options. 2 of my last 3 Newegg purchases have been BORKED BY BITPAY, the last one is still "in process" of resolution. I'm about to change suppliers, if Bitpay RIPS ME OFF AGAIN ON REFUND of the current issue, as it was 100% CAUSED BY THEIR ISSUES I HAVE ALREADY NOTIFIED THEM OF AND THEY INSIST ON BLOWING OFF. At this point, I don't trust "Bitpay" as far as I can throw them. Newegg was a LOT better off before they switched to using this INCOMPETANT excuse for a payment processor. Does anyone know if "Bitpay" is owned by Paypal? It would explain a TON.

First extraction fan just went in - waiting on the roofer for 2 more of these bad boys to go in - 1100 CFM each - you want to talk about negative pressure producing - these are BEASTS. The grey one is only 8" and 750 CFM, I'll probably use it to boost one of the passive intake vents

I know nothing about cryptomined.com, but they accept 25 different coins as payment, isn't that nice?

Coinpayments is quite nice. They work very well for making smaller payments using a low fee & fast transaction coin such as DGB. It's what we use to pay for vps hosting each month.

I'm getting super jelly, to use an old South Park phrase, seeing all this Onda porn. As soon I as I get mine (and find some GPUs for it - looks like everyone is out of everything once again) I'll use my current clamp meter to determine which of the wires on the molex, sata, cpu, etc. connectors are actually in use; I seem to recall that being a question back in the 6th altcoin thread.
that would be cool. thought i read someone had found the sata and molex connectors only used the 12v and ground lines (he disconnected the others) but i cant remember what board, and he didnt mention the cpu/atx lines. be useful info to know if i change to a server psu with pico adapter for my b250 d8p v1 board. Yes, I read the same thing which is why I thought it might be useful to find out just how much is being used by which connectors/wires. I will almost certainly be populating my Onda D1800 (this is the 6 port one with the "Untel Celery" CPU) with much less ambitious cards than our fearless OP; likely all RX 570 on one and all GTX 1060 (3GB) on the other. EDIT - mine is the 6port Onda, not the 8 port; sorry for the typo!

You did order some of the 8 PCIe port Onda boards, though, so it would be interesting to see if there are any differences. Also whether or not the molex/sata connectors on the mobo are bussed together or supply each card individually (in addition to the PCIe power connectors on the cards themselves, of course).

I will let you test the six card. I have had multiple pms asking to buy some of these . Not sure if I sell any. And I don’t want to get stuck with rma losses. Of the 21 B250 boards I think 2 and a partial doa Which is ten percent. Not sure how to package a sale but I think Buyers will get to buy a set of 1 six slot and 1 eight slot. For 333 - 350 shipped to USA no returns as is. But I will test everyboard with an smos stick and nvidia card. Only three sets. Leaving two of each for me. Still not sure if that works for me. As last time I took a loss and spent about six or seven hours packin’ shipping testing. I will break order down and show my costs and profit As I am not looking to score on buyers. Some caveats I only used smos and nvidia with these boards.

smOS ? @phil - my supplier over this side of the world said that there is new NVIDIA announcements after CES and there are price hikes too. @rs1x - much going on with ETH developments, expect this to move even higher.... ETH is good for long hodl, especially in 2018 -- the year of the Platforms (see NEO, QTUM, ICX, EOS, etc.). BTC dominance may not be long.... BTC in #2 or #3 spot looks likely.
