-snip-

Stop teasing and show us the miners! That will really wear us out.

i'm still buying 1080 ti's ... am i crazy? hehehe  Grin

That is pretty crazy. How do you figure?

people around here are not happy with 1080 ti profits anymore...

local supplier has stocks....I'm saying, why not? let's put their pascal asses to work and take a jump!

They are probably not happy with 1080 ti profits for a reason.

Do you have a secret coin you are mining for speculation? You know if you'd share it with me i could assess it for you.  Grin

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Now, I rarely mention any secret coins to avoid any confrontations.... unless I find it compelling to share in Phil's thread but there's a big crowd now coming to find any interesting stuff in the thread, unlike before where only a handful of us were doing a lot of interesting experimentation, research and good information sharing.

Anyone on the xvg bandwagon?
I'm dual mining it and bought some cheap a few weeks ago

Beeen mining and selling it daily with a Baikal X10. This has been my most profitable rig since i received it about 10 days ago. I got an L3 + set up at my host's fascility 3 days ago. It has been on XVG scrypt since then.

Crypto Bridge, where I sell my RVN, also has XVG listed.

XVG will likely jump in price as a result of today's anoucement:

https://www.ccn.com/worlds-biggest-porn-site-partners-with-verge-to-accept-xvg/

I think XVG will be the new LTC, mining XVG for short and long term will be very promising.
Like it or not, XVG's future is basically now sealed in the biggest use case in the Internet.
Adult entertainment is a huge industry and practically married to the Internet.
The adult currency of the Internet is Verge.... well at least the first one.

Wait a second, what about Spank Coin?  And I thought there were a few other such coins being touted.  Me personally, I can't wait for Bitmain to come out with a Spank Coin Cash ASIC.  :-)

Just don't buy a second hand one… ;-)

Dragonmint B52

review thread is up

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3338797.0

It is a freaking beast.

Can you provide any information on price of the unit or where they can be purchased ?

https://myrig.com/shop/

https://halongmining.com/shop/dragonmint-b52-blake2b-miner/

are the official sellers

twitter account below

https://twitter.com/halongmining

Thanks - MyRig was very unhelpful yesterday when I live chatted with them re: Halon mining gear.   Huh

It appears that MyRig-Halong-Innosilicon are all the same.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3345156.0

this appears  to be a B52
http://www.innosilicon.com/html/s11-miner/index.html

and my b52 is mining here

so far 0.0060 to 0.0080 btc a day    about 48 to 64 usd   power is 1490 watts at kwatt meter or   36 kwatts a day  = $3.60 usd   at 10 cents

roi is under 100 days  at 3500  but we all know that game.

Porn, eh?

I got some for you'all.  POCO came out today and swapped out my 25 KVA transformer for a 50 KVA one as I'm was starting to push the limit on what I had.

Have you ever thought about doing a water air filter? someone mentioned to me previously that larger data centers in dusty areas like in deserts use them to filter the air coming in, basically you use a chambered box so the air routes under a surface and you have basically irrigation misters spraying water across the entire opening and running back down into a water reserve. The misting water catches the dirt particles and keeps the air coming in pretty much as clean as the best air filter wihtout the restriction of a media for the air to cross through..

I no longer need this type of filtering idea, because i decided to go watercooled and moved the majority operation of heat outside the building my gear is housed inside of.

I gave up with all this air/water/micro-fibre filtering etc for my GPU farm.... nothing that I want is going to be cheap to implement... my poor GPUs are all working in a harsh, hot, dusty environment... like a sweat-shop. Floors are cleaned in 2 shifts daily by 2 vacuum robots... so in summary, I just do my weekly dusting and vacuuming, while I do site inspection.

Do you guys mine bitcore lately? I think I'm having poor hashrate for my 1080ti's, smos, 150w PL, ccminer-tpruvot-v2.2.5, getting about 20Mhs/card. You guys getting more or it's ok? Smiley
I see it jumped in profits yesterday and I've started to mine some. Still hashing raven tho Smiley

I got some for you'all.  POCO came out today and swapped out my 25 KVA transformer for a 50 KVA one as I'm was starting to push the limit on what I had.

So here's the new 50 KVA fat boy:

Bucket truck getting ready to kill the 14.4 KVolt line with his stick:

And the 25 KVA is down:

Up goes the 50 KVA:

All done:

Meanwhile, I got a 10,000 CFM exhaust fan installed in the shop building up high in the gable:

View from "outside" (the pole barn portion):

And here's the matching intake fan:

There will be 10 24x24 washable filters installed to filter the incoming air.  Now that the fan is installed, I can complete the "lattice" that will hold them.  Everything will be sealed to ensure all incoming air is filtered:

The 2 fans both have 3 phase motors and will be controlled by this VFD so that I can run them at no more than what is needed to keep all the GPU's at 70 C or less.

That all the porn I got for you guys tonight.  Cheesy

If you need any 1080ti  water cooled shoot me a pm

We haven't mined BitCore in a long time, but from what I remember you should get 26-28 Mh/s at 200 watts on a GTX 1080 Ti.  I think we were using Alexis version of ccminer, but it's been enough months that I can't remember for sure.

That's a neat idea.  If keeping these re-washable filters clean turns out to be a huge pain, I'll definitely look into it.

Unless you have a large data center, that strategy probably won't be cost effective for individual miners. I agree though it would be indeed a neat idea to get into. Probably would be like water-cooling; very neat but very expensive.

Try and find sp bitcore mode that was leaked for few months, don't have the link for it now but it shouldn't be hard to find it.Its  probably his only mod that is actually faster than the open source one Grin
