They're gone now so we can move on to better, more realistic things! Merge mining being just one of them!

Excited to keep working on Zetacoin in 2015.

Remember if you'd like to contribute or just want to chat with some fellow crypto-heads, pm me for Zetacoin Slack invite.

For merging with uno zetacoin would need to implement auxpow on their side me thinks.

Will zeta implement the auxpower?
Pretty sure it would raise its price too since it would be more secure than it is right now.
Stuff for discussion for the zeta-people (i personally hold stake in both coins so count myself as part of both communities)

I asked about it. The problem is that necessitates a hard fork.

that's correct but better hardfork than die, right? Would solve the hashrate-problem of zeta in an instant.

Asking Zetacoin to hard fork is a difficult task, near impossible.  Zetacoin is one of the few cryptos older than 2 years that can claim 0 hard forks in it's lifetime.  Some even argue that not even Bitcoin can claim that.

I understand holding onto the unforked characteristic at all costs. However, it won't mean much if hash goes to 0

auxpow 'merging' makes sense in this way :  How much is bitcoin paying per TH?

btc 790/TH (satoshi per minute)

If a group of SHAs can 'merge' their collective hashing then we also get the benefit of 'merged' paying per THash.

In effect we can payout more than bitcoin this way.

And each coin is paying less than bitcoin, but as a group we pay more than bitcoin.

theALTsha256 pays 1790/TH (satoshi per minute)

Our hash rates will jump up a great deal.
