While I see the logic there, I wonder why an already established electronic fiat payment system would embrace crypto.

Maybe faster and cheaper transactions ?

I've been racking my brain on this question too.

If it's M-Pesa, then cool. I figure they might want to open up their customer base (market) to the whole world and use a coin with a transaction speed that's almost as fast, or faster, than their own. This means a lot for commerce and remittances.

I just think on a business level anyone partnering with an altcoin is going to need a very strong "wow" factor that affects them in some way, or solves a major problem. Speed is where this coin gets very interesting for real world commerce. If a service like Mpesa was looking to jump into the crypto space, they'd definitely need something as fast, or faster, as their own network. And it would hurt that the crypto was "btc friendly". the size is good too, early startup coin that a service can "control" or finesse a little bit to help service their needs a little better. Btc is too damn wild.

I dunno....im just bullshitting. Holding coins for now.

1.2 GB of code

Roll Eyes Sweet satoshi jesus! I very much doubt you have 1.2GB of code running anywhere, and if you do then you seriously need to slim your code base down  Roll Eyes

Some people try to pump so hard during this dip Grin interesting to watch it.

People's expectations have grown so big during last days..

If true this is a game changer for sure.  Would put zeta right behind btc and ltc.

FTFY

Agreed, what has LTC ever done that is news worthy. Now they are trying to secure their future by proposed merge mining with Dogecoin. If I was running dogecoin, I'd steer clear of that path. Dogecoin can run on it's own four feet. Cheesy

Only remaining question for me is which is the company that Konen is partnering with. A lot of people on twitter act like it's too obvious who this is, I guess I am too stupid to figure it out.

All signs lead me to M-Pesa

I highly doubt that since they have an already established system. It's much more likely that it will be some kind of rival company.

Anyway, big corporations are all about profits, so if a big company was going to make a step like this, then they would perhaps first buy as much of the coin supply as possible and then leak any news about their plans. This is not exactly what we see here although it's still possible that the n1 address on the top richest list belongs to that mysterious "big partner".

What I think will happen is Konen will announce what the deal is exactly soon and everybody will be "meh". It's probably something a lot smaller than we are let to believe, although still along the lines of Kenya, POS and Mobile transactions with Zeta, just on a very small scale.

Oh, the Zetacoin price just went up by 1000 in the time it took me to deposit my bitcoins.  Still a good buy though.

Im glad to see its value is increasing again, since a little dump earlier. We've hit the 0.000037 in less than 2 hours ago, and now already 0.00005382 Smiley

If you check the 20 richest Zeta addresses, there has been hardly any movement the last couple of days which is a very good sign that this is not a pump and dump.

.....or who ever owns the largest has not finished dumping the last 7.5 million zeta the last moved.

Or they read that they were being watched.
