Ok, thanks. Decided to try your suggestion, and move the charity address into a separate wallet.dat, but ran into a snag: I discovered the dumpprivkey and importprivkey commands. These will allow me to copy the address into the new wallet. But how do I delete the address (its private key) from my main wallet?

Im not sure if thats possible in bitcoind, which im assuming the client is based off of (I only use cryptsy). With the console function you can dump a list of all the commands so it might be in that list

ps... Block halving party anyone??? 160K blocks and counting!

Well, that's what I am inclined to do now. Just hoped to keep the address that I already announced, but seems it's not that easy.
I'll be running two clients from 2 machines - one with donation wallet and the other with my solo mining target and all other day-to-day stuff.
Will make the new donations address announcement once I'm done.

EDIT: After some wallet.dat file juggling and temp address/wallet transfers, I managed to separate the two addresses into two different wallet files. The same donation address can be used.

Yay! I see 250s started to roll in on my solo-mining setup... Interesting times ahead.

Is anybody else concerned about the lack of a price spike after the block halving? It makes me think there are no new buyers in the zet market. So the holders will continue to hold and collect more coins mining, all the while the price/hash power slowly declines over time as people leave the community. 75% of all coins have already been mined...and a market cap of just ~650 BTC...is this coin dying?

I don't think the coin is dying.

We need to get the services in place. If we can get the following in place, this coin should have a bright future.

1. Android/Iphone Wallet - I am porting a wallet I found but have not gotten it working 100%. Have limited time to spend on it of late.
2. Online Website Wallet - I bet 90% of folks holding ZET are using Cryptsy or Coin-ex wallet.
3. Payment gateway for merchants.

Anything else I have forgotten? Do we need to offer greater bounties for the services?

We finally have a CURRENCY here. BTC will never be one - it is like GOLD in cryptocurrency world. We need something to do Payments with. I believe ZET has the right structure to be THE ONE (quick confirmations + inflationary (so you do not want to keep it = spend it)). It needs time and it will take time for Mr. Market to get it...

switched to ubuntu because when i was solomining on xp i was finding blocks and having them rejected, was hoping with ubuntu i could have more connections and have less rejects.

i compiled the miner and got it working and also the zeta client, but i cant solomine, where does the zetacoin.conf go on ubuntu.  I built the client and miner in my home.

And is it zetacoin.conf or is it zetacoin-qt.conf on linux.

Thanks for any help.
