so this coin has been removed from all exchanges?

Which exchanges? Mintpal removed many coins, zeta coin also ate it. Other exchanges probably dropping too? Or new projects?

"Zeta" is a letter of the Greek alphabet.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zeta

Several groups, people, and organizations use it for a wide array of items.  I don't see how the "Zeta" in "Zetacoin would be affiliated with the mentioned group, let alone confused for it.

Zetabyte
Zeta File system
Riemann zeta function
Tropical Storm Zeta
Zeta Interactive
Catherine Zeta-Jones
Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc
HTC Zeta
The Zeta Project TV Series
and so on...

ZETAcoin!  The coin of zoophiles!

DUMP THIS COIN PEOPLE!

So, watching a VICE episode about a group of crazy zoophiles, a.k.a. those who engage in bestiality, and it suddenly hit me that I had seen the name the group and the emblem before, which is in Zetacoin.  So, my point?  I unless you're pro-zoophilia, I would suggest you dump your coin.  I mean, the name for ZETA coin is the same as these zoophiles; the emblem is the same.

Check them out at:http://www.zeta-verein.de/en/

Fair enough.  Goes to show my ignorance of the Greek alphabet.  I'll go ahead and delete my post, as I am not one to spread FUD.  But damn, what a horrible association to have the same name with and hence be possibly confused with.

Does anyone know if a supernode can be installed on a regular computer or if it is better to have a dedicated computer for it?

Have you checked out the wiki?
http://www.zetacoinwiki.org/index.php/Nodes_and_Supernodes

Looks like it can be low resource intensive

I'm still little confused...
What makes the zetacoind.exe running in "node mode"?:

server=1 ?

What is the minimum setup? Isn't it enough just to run zetacoind.exe?
If I solomine with zetacoind.exe am I node also?

ps. On wiki there is "gen=1" in the example - does it make any sense today?

Price rise is a result of teams continuing to work hard and put out in the background.  As for the big news: I think that it is real, but won't be coming soon.

We should be building/strengthening ZET either way.  A strong foundation for widespread adoption/acceptance is being built that only Bitcoin is on par with right now Smiley

No altcoin is on par with bitcoin and never will be. Like no currency will ever be on par with gold.

Few months ago I've been sharing some thoughts about ZET vs BTC.
I posted them here and also on reddit as "kedat":
http://www.reddit.com/r/zetacoin/comments/1t8ne4/what_is_special_about_zetacoin/

I still believe in complimentary role of ZET to BTC in monetary plane.
Look at "store of value" vs "medium of exchange" concept and how nicely they split these two attributes between each other.

Nobody knows what the future holds. I'm just trying to find most likely outcome.
New monetary system is in the making...
