Bitcoin will be just like a digital alternative to gold that will grow in value. It is unlikely that in the near future any altcoin will be higher in terms of market capitalization than bitcoin. Bitcoin protocol will be constantly improving.
I agree that Bitcoin can be as good as gold or better than gold; thus, it will have a great future especially when the price rises and when it become legal worldwide.

So Bitcoin's market dominance in the cryptocurrency world is currently at the lowest level ever with 36.1% of the total value.

In my opinion, it's because the interest in alternative coins is rising rapidly for one, but you also have to consider how much of the bitcoin world is criminal. Seriously, for the first 5-8 years, the digital currency was mainly used as a means for criminals to launder money and sell illegal goods on the dark market. Think of all the massive hacks in the early days also, and all those darknet markets that disappeared with huge amounts of bitcoin.

Literally millions and millions of the 16 million coins out there would be owned by criminals. And now with bitcoin becoming more centralized and less anonymous, they are swiftly exiting the market and looking for alternative dark coins.

I also personally avoid using bitcoin all-together because of the extremely slow transaction speeds and high cost's associated with it.

The bitcoin mining business is dust, so that interest will die quickly.

I just don't see a very bright future for the god of cryptocurrency and it will surely be surpassed by one of its rivals soon enough.

I'm torn between predicting it to be Dash, or Ethereum, and I recon it could be about 2 years before that happens.

Would love to know peoples thoughts on the future of bitcoin.

Where will bitcoin be in

2 weeks?
2 months?
2 years?

Will it be surpassed by another coin? If so, which one and when?

Bitcoin may be down for some time, but for cross-border payments not through third parties, only the crypto can do it and the lowest cost is the fastest, sometimes the crime is good in this case. and help all the world change.

Bitcoin is hard to predict what look like in the future but for  me I think it will be very good and has a potential to be rise in crypto currency....As of now I think some  of the bussiness man today eying to invest bitcoin and some country accepted now in bitcoin and this is a good sign to make bitcoin place in top in the future....

Thanks for your opinion on the future of bitcoin. I humbly disagree with you on the point that bitcoin is now centralized which as at now we speak bitcoin is still highly decentralized and still the most sought after coins. I completely agree with you that there are issues of scalability and high fees attached to bitcoin. this issues are being tackled as you can  notice there has been a sharp drop in fees for bitcoin transaction recently. I know bitcoin is having challenge by the other altcoins but it will be long before any of them can meet bitcoin.

Lighting system, quicker exchanges, bring down expenses, expanded reception, more media scope, a cluster of new simple to utilize trades, Samsung ASICs generation bringing about more rivalry and less expensive mining hardware, control possibly bringing about more institutional cash... Looks extraordinary.

Bitcoin is a symbol of the blockchain and a benchmark.

With the rapid development of block chain, BTC has been known and invested by more people.

The price of BTC tends to be stable, the fluctuation is small, BTC is widely used, most countries in the world support BTC payment!

It could happen that bitcoin might be eaten by its adversary. The bitcoin predominance has fallen by all dow to 38% in todays date. The digital currencies are heading towards new transformation. Different coins are speedier in exchange and lower in expenses an aggregate preferred standpoint over the bitcoin and subsequently the utilization of them may very well increment a ton. The coins are well idea ventures since long time, only the way bitcoin gotten its financial specialists in long haul these activities will get it as well. In this way the predominance of the bitcoin will go even down and it might vanish one day. This will leave our bitcoin relatively exposed in brief timeframe. So you see with this outcome I'm certainly certain that numerous wrong things could happen.

I think future of bitcoin can predict as more excited  and joyful once it reach to 20k$ then it will take totally command over the media for which the demands will be increase and also most important the investment will furthermore rise. Also Bitcoin's future is likely to grow and be legalized everywhere in the world and we can trade anything with Bitcoin, which is great because Bitcoin is an anonymous market and no one can control.

View are very subjective. You may not see the a brighter future for bitcoin probably because of downstream of the price and the criticisms the coin is facing from great people, But the fact it, for something to have a great future, it must go through hard times. Its ability to withstand those hardships will determine its future. Clearly, Bitcoin hash withstand these criticisms for a decade and it is still trending, so i see this coin to have a great future.

I believe that the bitcoin's future is great and it will be even more popular that it is today. I hope it will overcome those difficulties that it has today with the regulations and legalization and will be accepted internationally at some point.

The relevance of bitcoin will be seen in years to come, in most developing countries the general acceptance of bitcoin as alternative currency should be a quick action because most of them have a myopic vision when it comes to cryptocurrency,  in five years to come the use of anyother currency will not be relevant, explosive use of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies will be felt, as bill gate rightly said that  bitcoin is more than currency

Nowadays, the legal status of bitcoin varies greatly from country to country. Most policies do not specifically define whether bitcoin is used as a payment transaction tool or as a digital asset. Most countries accept bitcoin by focusing on payment transactions. In 2 years will be better.

The future probably looks still good, but we do not know what will happen with a certain coin in the future, for that I think it is the future and it is not worth guessing what may not happen.
