That's sad. Maybe many are not aware of it. I see that the team is doing all it can to spread the word. Also i see everyday many posting in forum regarding some problem with wallet. What's shocking is most of them acknowledge to have never saved the private keys. I think we should keep reminding people regarding backup of wallet.dat and specifically private keys. |

Unfortunately not all people visit the forum or the bitcointalk regularly to find out about this update. Maybe a new feature can be added to the DeepOnion wallet where the devs can send warning messages to be shown in a text field, at the bottom of the wallet, such as "Warning: Updated your wallet before the fork." This way, all investors can be made aware of new announcements. I don't think it will be difficult to program the DeepOnion nodes to send a message to the wallet once they are connected. |
