Someone please guess what the cheapest gh/$ will be and what the most cheapest and expensive units they could make. I need info, so I can prepare to get a loan. I want the most expensive products they have, please.

Because usa 20 amp households are limited to about 1920 watts continuous power. I don't think they could practically sell a unit more than 1.9 th/s based on the 1 watt per gigahash.

So, how much would a 1.5 TH/s unit cost? bitfury 400 gh/s units go for .05 gigahash per usa dollar while kncminer 400 gh/s unit goes for about .056 per usa dollar.

lets say that cointerra units sell for .15 gigahash per usa dollar. that would be 10k usa dollars.

thats too expensive for me

Yes is still very expensive.

Yo, do not get into debt over ASICs, profit is not guaranteed, you do not know who, what, or how entrants will effect the landscape over the next six months. Can you afford not to be able to refund the loan from the device itself if some greater unknown appears, or the BTC price drops significantly, that you don't earn enough fiat equivalent to pay the loan back??

Months back people thought Avalon were a safe bet, now look. Behave responsibly with money. Ffs!

Make my day! Say thanks if you found me helpful Smiley BTC Address --->

Wow people like that make me cry Sad. Getting a loan for mining, really?

ur0pl:

1) You are clearly unaware of how mining works and how difficulty impacts your returns. Please educate yourself before investing in anything.
2) If you are that desperate for money, maybe it's time for a job instead of speculating with your life.
3) What are you going to tell the bank? I need a 10K Loan for a magic money printing machine that plans on your utter destruction?

Many people finance mining rigs via a credit card, chill out on the guy.

What we should be stressing is the importance of the price/Gh, not how he is choosing to fund it.
@ $5/Gh your only looking at ~25% profit http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/a/78ef3ed385
@ $6/Gh it's under ~10% http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/a/ae4f8e1525

Those estimates are based on previous network increases which in my opinion are far too low for the thin margins.  September, October and November are looking like they are going to be are largest % increases ever.

If you factor in a more realistic network increase rate (%75) you really should be looking for a price target of about $2.50/Gh http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/a/d2365ff830

In short, I wouldn't take a loan to buy equipment that is most likely going to lose you money.  If you have a fairly high (educated) certainty of success, then go for it.

I wired a 20amp 240v breaker for my ASIC boxes.  Switching PSUs can handle 120-240v, so I have all my PSUs and a network switch all running off 240v, which allows me to pull twice the watts on a 20amp breaker.

And the good news is, once mining doesn't pay you'll be able to run a TIG welder....

LOL!

Not a bad thing to learn how to do...

I wired my garage initially with 100 amp 240v so I would be able to weld...

It's certainly not what it is used for now Smiley

Actually built a small data center in my garage with 54,000BTU of cooling.

Sucks, though, 'cause I had to rework a bit of power and wire up a new 240v in one of my sheds to run the welder now.

No more pre-order please...

dito.. would be nice to purchase a in stock item for next day delivery.

If a company offers a miner at a reasonable price, people are going to order it ahead of time, and by the time the company has it all their stock will already be accounted for.

or not .. as we seen bfl .. avalon .... stop falling for these pre-orders ! no more pre-orders ! want to sell something ? have in stock !

Even with direct credit cards, I think paypal is a must as they offer more protections to consumers, and if they don't accept it, it will just be a red flag.

yeah maybe not in the UK since the UK passed a law for 180days. Here in the States it's 30 days, and PayPal has tremendous protection for consumers. Case in point a user getting a refund issued passed their 45 day period.

No, in the states different card issuers offer different levels of protection, someone mentioned a Discover having 180 days Stateside in this forum the other day. You also need to check whether they negate such an offer if using a third party payment processor like Paypal, or Amazon. Some do. Paypal is only decent for the initial 45 days. In the UK it's 6 years under Section 75.

My card issuer is 30 days and as mentioned before paypal has many times refunded past 45 days.
