Now this topic looks somewhat naive) I think when the OP created the topic, had different views on the price of the ether.
2K$ for the ethereum now seems impossible in the near future.

I don't think so, my opinion on this is that you need to start investing for smaller amount of tokens and then convert it to ethereum after it reaches the high peak of its value most probably  within 6-12 months.

ethereum is taking the lead in terms of smart contract and ICOs. But as long as there is ICOs ban, Ethereum will not get a higher percentage of increase in value, but surely be more stable than any other coins like what happened in the last market crash.

That would be how you say. But the correction that is happening now makes it clear the opposite, that it can go even lower and cost $100. Of course I would not like to believe it, but it's becoming more and more terrible.

I do not think that the price of Ethereum are able to reach $2,000 USD in 2 months time, the whole crypto-currencies trading market is still in pretty bad shape now, and I believe it will surely take more than 2 months time for another bull market to appear.

2 years is possible but 2 months is a big No because of the crypto trend right now making Ethereum rise to 2k in a bearish market is almost impossible. Personally, I think ETH will reach 2k at the end of this year.

I think it can happen because we all here no one knows when the price is up and down, if someone says that 2 months away eth price will reach 200k yes it can happen because there is nothing unlikely in this world of crypto. just as in the beginning of last year everyone would not have thought if the price of btc reached nearly 300 million idr

There was a very bullish run in January, it went up to $1400, but now currently ETH stands just below $400. It is a really low price for what it is, and you can see how volatile the market is. But saying that its simply the volatility would be narrow minded.
I believe there are plenty of factors why the crypto market is at a position right now where it is, like bad press generally, but more specifically I think about Facebook and Twitter removing ICO related advertisements. Also, China's moves to block the sites of ICOs and plenty of cryptoexchange sites didnt help aswell. These hurt especially hard for those cryptocurrencies, which main strength is the infrastructure they created for ICOs, like ETH or NEO.
Other factors which moved the cryptomarket lower might be some whales selling, and I'm thinking of Nobuaki Kobayashi right now. His sellings further worsened the market's situation, and made plenty to follow.
If the situation stabilises, we could see increase of value in ETH I believe, as I see it undervalued right now.
Although predicting prices is not easy, I'd say Ethereum can reach $2k in this year. Especially, if some ICOs will have real life usages, for the everydays man, who is not into the world of cryptocurrencies. If that happens, I believe will add value to the tokens, and to the coins, which created the platform for the tokens, let it be ETH, NEO, or anything. With value increase, most likely price increase  will follow.
So all in all, $2000 ETH is possible, but I find it optimistic. I hope for it. But I feel not in the forthcoming two months, as the timeframe is just simply not enough, it would be too big of a rise. I'd say this year.

Very well everything is described, but I don't agree that so ны the market influences Facebook and Twitter. These their advertising and bans it as drop in the ocean. Actually, there are more fundamental things which move the market. $2000 in the next 2 months we won't see it precisely.

Anything are possible, I do really believe on Ethereum in their projects, teams and community but I doubt it will touch that price by the end of this year maybe in the following years 2020 and up. Well just my opinion still anything is possible to happen especially here on crypto world.

I agree, the Etherium will necessarily grow in price, and $ 2,000 for it is not the limit. After all, these are crypto-currencies, which can give 500-800% per year.

Falling to 200 isn't a big deal now though. This will surely happen if Bitcoin drops below $3000. ETH may even fall down to $150 if that happens. Everything depends on the Bitcoin's price. If you have noticed in the last months ETH/BTC almost down by 70% from its all time high.

ethreum if its goes to POS it might worth more but right now it wont be worth 2k $ before september if they stop POW it will worth a lot more as i  believe
