Your wallet is safe as long as your not using compromise PC for accessing the balance. There are ways to check the balance without using the UTC file. Just make sure that the site you visit is the correct URL.

Myetherwallet is secured and safe. You have nothing to worry about. Your MEW is safe unless you give your private key to someone and enter phishing sites. Just don't forget your private key because without it you can't have any access to your wallet. Bye bye money.

For sure it is. I know a friend of mine who's etherwallet was hacked in just a second. But it is more safe if you have 2 wallets or more.

Since it's a platform it is possible that it can be hacked,  but only in a slightly little chance. And you're asking if your wallet is safe, i'm pretty sure it is, just don't lose your private key and the 2nd key because without it, i don't know how else you can have access on your wallet.

I agree. Although it is highly protected due to the many encryption the site has to secure your wallet. There is always that possibility of it being hacked; that is why many people are always saying and suggesting to always keep your wallet address safe. You can either keep in an offline medium like your computer or a USB to keep it away from being cracked online. Next one not giving out your wallet details easily; unfortunately, there are many people who uses different means to steal that information and try to hack your holdings.

I think myetherwallet web site is geniune web site. It is secure site.Web site operators has sound IT knowledge. So low posibility to hack myetherwallet. But  don't forget a lot of hackers in the world and they are very clever

From real story. I typed "my ethereum wallet" into the search. As a result I switched to an advertising link to myetherwallelt.com. It differs from the original one added by the letter l before t. Then I didn't notice it.
I sent a wallet file entered a password. Translated to the exchanger eth. I got the exchange of coins and I have money. After a few hours my balance on my wallet was empty.

Online wallets are prone to be hacked; not just myetherwallet but also all online wallets. So yes, myetherwallet can be hacked especially when it is not secure. To prevent it, you should keep your private key to yourself; thus, do not give it to other people.

Anyway, you are rignt that substituting phishing sites in your browser is the only serious way to steal your private keys when you use MEW

It can be hacked only when you do something wrong. Many MEW wallets were hacked using phishing pages. You wont have to worry as the keys are kept safe. Make sure you don't use public computers to access MEW wallet.

Hi, i have backupped my pvkeys on an usb stick. I wrote it also down on a piece of paper. My computer broke. I put a metal pin through the harddrives. I will not buy a new pc soon. So i wont check in on myetherwallet for some time. I cant click on phishing links. My question is : are my funds safe? Can myetherwallet get hacked? Can my funds dissapear even when i have no computer, hid my keys? Im to stupid to work with a ledger or trezor. Can something happen to it like with the parity/kill?

Your tokens are safe as long as you don't unwittingly enter your private key to any fake site. There are some instances when a website asks for you private key and copies your private key and slowly transfers your funds. It doesn't matter if you wont be able to access your wallet as log as your private key is secured.

I think Myetherwallet is the very secure wallet. And it is very difficult due to the private key. As you seen that in private keys totally 64 character including numbers.so i think it's impossible to hack the myetherwallet.But if you share your private keys with any other person then he/she can access you account and they can also withdraw your money.so i suggest you to never share your private key with any person.

so far myetherwallet is safe unless you will give your private key to others. Few of my friends also using tgis wallet as far as i know no one gets hacked.
