Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

The fact is that most people do not take the minimum security measures, they go into the fishing site, expose their private keys or make their computers hacked, and then accuse MEW.

I think that from a technical point of view, everything is possible, but you need to understand that such services are very heavily guarded, so now we can only say that most people today really start to think about security after the DNS cracking incident, but I still think that it is not completely secure systems.

It's just a platform so yes, It can be.

If anything I think it would be easier to bait you into a MEW clone which would allow you to put your private key in without realizing. Always a good idea to bookmark the website instead of following a search/email link. Then you know it's legit....unless they're DNS hacked.

Yes, my ether wallet can be hacked since it is an online platform so it will never be secure since they are so many ways to hack your wallet account. There is a slight chance that it can be hacked but I think you can use meta mask or hardware wallet like nano ledger/trezor ( around 100usd) with my ether wallet so your fund will be safer since your private key will be encrypted in the USB and not shared online.

Yes! Your account can still be hacked despite all the measures you've taken to secure your account. It is so sad because the MEW system is so porous leaving the users stranded and crying always due to this hacking issues. I will advice that you be very careful and selective when clicking on sites or when partaking in bounty campaigns because that is the routes these hackers uses to get to peoples wallet most times.

Maybe, don't know for sure.
But even if it gets hacked I don't think they can access your wallet without your private key.

Myetherwallet is very secure, just watch the news and always keep secret keys on another device different from the one with which you use your purse. Beware of phishing links, double check each site that you open to not become a victim of hacking.

They have big security problems, so I do not recommend storing many tokens there. I use 5-6 different wallets to protect myself. Also, I do not advise you to store passwords and secret keys on your computer, they can be stolen.

In the future, be careful. No, I did not want to, because Crypto-currency became my main job, so I like working with it, it's attractive and at the moment positive.

You can use MEW in offline wallet mode but there is still a risk that if the pc where you keep the offline wallet is destroyed then you can not do anything, print the wallet on an old printer with no internet connection and no memory, then you can still lose the paper, so there is no safe, there is always a risk.

Everything can be hacked in internet. Hackers has has a big brain and can be able to hacked everything that is why we need to be very careful in giving and confirming information in any transactions. Do not be lazy in reading before you accept confirmation. And safetiness will always be depend on how careful you are especially with your private keys.

The most common way of hacking user accounts is the banal substitution of letters in the domain name. Scammers simply add an extra "t" or "l" to the site name, so users do not notice the difference and trustingly follow links from "reliable" search engines.

The myetherwallet site is just an interface for creating and managing your wallet. You can even use the local version of myetherwallet on your computer. An attacker can get access to your wallet, if only you yourself somehow compromise your key.

Hi, i have backupped my pvkeys on an usb stick. I wrote it also down on a piece of paper. My computer broke. I put a metal pin through the harddrives. I will not buy a new pc soon. So i wont check in on myetherwallet for some time. I cant click on phishing links. My question is : are my funds safe? Can myetherwallet get hacked? Can my funds dissapear even when i have no computer, hid my keys? Im to stupid to work with a ledger or trezor. Can something happen to it like with the parity/kill?
IF it like that then your fund is compeletely safe, it is usually the user fault that the fund get hacked not the myetherwallet itself, the worst thing that happened is that the google dns got hijacked but if everyone keep careful then they won't lose their money. Your fund is safe so you don't have to worry, also trezor and ledger isn't that hard to use and there's a lot of guides on the internet.

YES,  It ia possible if you are not secure to your wallet. Beforw opwning your account, be sure that the site you open is the real website of your MEW. As of now there are many Phishing sites lingering in the internet.. It wa made for the only one reason which is to hack the important account like MEW. Keep your password secure all the time.

I think your Wallet can be hacked if someone can specify your private key. So basically install all the required browser extensions to secure your wallet and be sure to hide your keys as well. Avoid visiting phishing sites to prevent hackers from getting your information.
