I dont think so. If the government are trusting bitcoin, I think it will reduce corruption because they will have no reason to corrupt. They are corrupting because they need the money but if they have enough money, they will not get money from the taxes of the people. Corruption is nothing to do with the bitcoin. Corruption is really on the government. It is their nature to be corrupt not all but many of the government officials.
We all know anywhere has corruption, and very diffucult to overcome. The importance of bitcoin can help to reduce corruption in countries. Most people attempt to corrupt because of there needs so they really think those bad things but surely if bitcoin accept in the government it can reduce corruption becahse of the capability to earn more money.

once the report of their work is in the blockchain then they cannot change it like before but as long as they don't have to add to the reports book which is in the blockchain then they still have chance to make corruption. but I am sure that there is any good people in every section in the government and they will do their best to prevent someone to make corruption.

Now that governments have a competitor in terms of currencies, do you think that they will make an effort to make the economic system more transparent or will they just try to ban everything?
Well I think governments were open to the existence of Bitcoin but some of them chose not to implement it due to the rapid fall down of the price, and being medoum of the scammers. For me yes it certainly decrease the corruption but just here in platform I mean the givernment of each country doesnt count, Bitcoin is different to government it turns out to be better since Bitcoin doesnt allow taxes.

Well, I think it still depends on their leaders. If that government does not want a competitor or they cannot control it then they will just ban it in their area. Bitcoin cannot reduce corruption but rather will help the economy of ones country a little bit. In every goverment, corruption is embeded so expect that whether they ban or patronize the bitcoin as long as there's a money involved corruption will always here.

Maybe because bitcoin can provide enough changes to users and then it prevents corruption if ever . Bitcoin is the one best way to avoid corruption and poverty .

I don't think that bitcoin can reduce corruption. On the contrary, it may increase corruption.

Maybe it depends on the personality of each person In the presence of bitcoin is able to provide positive or negative side to the front. But in my view if someone does corruption they will be easy to catch Because all the transactions they do can be tracked and able to speed up the process of catching someone.

seen from the technology owned bitcoin then it seems bitcoin will not be able to reduce the act of corruption because bitcoin does not include the name of the owner of the wallet that will make the bitcoin privacy is maintained and can be used for corruption.

If governments make an effort to make the economic system more transparent, it seems impossible. Because by making all the economy activities transparent, the governments have no chance to do corruption. The fact is bitcoin will definitely help in reducing corruption because all money can definitely be traced.

Complete elimination of third person making chances of corruption almost zero. If we use bitcoin everywhere chances of corruptions will reduce considerably.
Non-sense. I do not know how just made that association out of the blue but I completely disagree. You will have the same or more corruption as before. Bitcoin, at most, is a freaking currency. And so far is just a pump and dump trading asset.

If a government official, or the government, itself is corrupt, then with or without bitcoin, he/she will be corrupt. They would always find ways to corrupt people. Banning cryptocurrencies on a country would reflect more on the government for the reason that bitcoin was made for the people, and taking it out will only benefit them.

I think the government will make a law about using bitcoin in every country or they just put tax in every holder and if that happen it may lead to corruption. But if ever they never implement that law I think government will going to ban everything, maybe they will discourage people to used crypto and they can used media to make some fake news.

Definetly and i hope so,that bitcoins will become the solution to reduce the corruption in plundering money especially in the government and private sector,if the bitcoin become legalize, and if all this things happen maybe corruption will minimize because the currency will become digital. . Thanks that is true.bitcoint is a digital currency for the purpose of maintaining secrecy of transaction with no third-party involved .i believe it will reduce the corruption..

I think it can reduce corruption because you cant corrupt if you live a happy life. Even if you are working so hard you cant corrupt if you have a nice job and a wealthy life also. But there are also some people that can corrupt because of greed

No but it's a bitcoin blockchain that can prevent corruption because of the blockchain database that is more secure and the ledger is impossible to make any fraudulent act.

Bitcoin can not just reduce but in fact eliminate corruption. It shared ledger which is shared either publicly or privately between multiple entities. All transaction are recorded, and once added these records cannot be deleted or updated.
The best thing about bitcoin and blockchain technology is that whatever is once done in this world, it cannot be undone in anyway. You cannot remove the traces of your transitions which is possible when you do this through banks. Banks are involved in corruption because they help people transferring money in illegal accounts. Bitcoin if made the mainstream mode of payment and currency, no banks are going to handle it. There is less interference of authorities in transactions, so it would reduce corruption. Honestly, Banks themselves are the most corrupt of them all and they have always find a way to hide their transactions which made me see a lot of reason to what you have said. With the way the blockchain technology has been fashioned, everything is recorded and this is something that will be in the record forever. Bitcoin transactions can sure be traced, but that depends on knowing the person behind such wallet, which makes it pseudo anonymous. Can it successfully help with corruption ? Except if this is done via exchanges with the whole KYC thing, but for P2P, that would be difficult and same goes for every other one. Moreover, I can decide to always change address on every transaction.

The transparency inherent in Blockchain has potential to fight corruption. Not only Bitcoin, but all cryptos. Afris are a crypto being developed in Africa to fight corruption in development funding. It is very promising: http://afri.africa/
