Since you are asking for corruption, i think by using bitcoin the greed of many higher government officials will increase because they dont have the monopoly of the currency itself. As you can see some country banned bitcoin or any cryptocurrency because the government cant control nor become the third party in every transaction involved. But in every transaction since the government cant meddle in it, the corruption will decrease because they are just helpless to watch each and every transaction happening because they dont have the capability and authority to judge every transaction and commission involved.

On my country.Maybe not.It cannot eliminate something that is there in centuries. And corruption is in the system. Its the job of the leaders to eliminate such action.Never rely bitcoin as a solution. It can be corrupted too as i believe.

Bitcoin and corruption have nothing to do, corruption is a person's mental problem, and without bitcoin they will remain corrupt, the presence of bitcoin can not prevent or increase corruption.

Once you lived in a corrupt country dirty and greedy politicians will always find a way even with the presence of bitcoin in a certain country. It is their way of life already I am sure they will make a move to not let it slide like implementing a high tax in utilizing bitcoin or including a total ban in order for them to continue their evil agendas for corruption.

Bitcoin can reduce corruption by direct transaction. payment or withdrawal methode. bitcoin can arrange payment without using your personal information as long as you are member in bitcoin that is enought to accomplish what you need. and no need fixer to fix your problem.

I think bitcoin will not reduce corruption. As long as there are people who can be corrupted, it does not matter what the currency will be.

in my country NO,its increasing corruption in my county.because people using bitcoin but when they convert bitcoin into fiat, they broke the rules of government. bitcoin is illegal here.So people doing illegal transaction for local money or fiat.

They break the rules of your government, but why does it increase corruption. Because they do something that not legal or because they use other way to 'clean" money from bitcoin?

Well, I mean to reduce corruption I think it takes hard work from the government or president, by punishing death or heavy weighted the corruptor. I think bitcoin is just to change the economy of a country such as reducing unemployment by following the existing project on bitcoin. So far that's all I know.

As long as the politicians are still poor then they will be mentally corrupt, I think corruption is not just the work of the government or the president, but by selection through clear rules or laws then corruption can be prevented.
I think its purely based on the mentality of the politicians in a country, and since bitcoin is being used as another way to money laundering, it can't be used to reduce corruption because people are using it to clean the dirty money. Bitcoin might reduce unemployment if there are lots of vacancy, however there are still so many people dont understand the way bitcoin works, and even if they do then its up to the government to clean their own politician from corruptions not from bitcoin  Grin

I think bitcoin will not reduce corruption. As long as there are people who can be corrupted, it does not matter what the currency will be.

Bitcoin as a tool can be used for corruption suppression, because bitcoin can be transparent. It's very simple, if some government sector have a wallet and funds that needs to be used for something good, everyone can control them, they will not be able to use that funds for what they wish and how they wish. That will be a huge change, in my country its hard to get some documents about government spending, but with help of bitcoin and blockchain we will be able to check them from home in any given moment.
Now, and before, government officials are spending tax money for their own interest, when will that stop? In my country all politicians in power are getting rich while they are there, when their mandate ends they have a lot of money and then they are starting with other businesses, of course with stolen money from tax payer's.
FOR HOW LONG, I'm asking you? For how long they will be able to do it? As long as we let them...

Bitcoin is nothing to do with corruption, it depends on the people, government in simple words system. First stringent rules should be framed by the government to reduce corruption then automatically we can see  corruption less society but it's very difficult.

Bitcoin can be use as a mode of doing transactions which is easy to notice if there is some corrupt people because we can see their transactions online using the blockchain.info site which is a blockchain explorer so i think that bitcoin can easily do some good job in order to reduce the corruption that we are suffering from the government.

Do you think that bitcoin can reduce corruption?
I guess no, i cant see factor that relates reducing bitcoin to corruption. Unless our official are into bitcoin.
Government has no control in bitcoin.
But bitcoin is always open for everyone. Maybe we can consider that if our official participate in bitcoin and they enjoy its benefits, they will earn more and might cause to avoid corruption.

I guess yes, if the number of politicians reduce corruption will reduce because the number of people that are involved has reduced and has join BITCOINER. When so many people are involved in bitcoin it definitely reduced d number of people involved in corruption.

I think no. The presence of bitcoin is not intended to reduce corruption, for corruptors who know bitcoin then this is a good opportunity or place to hide their money so that no one can track.

but its a good sign if all the bigtime names put there money into bitcoin all the bitcoin investor will benifit because of the price up but the blockchain technology has the power to reduce the corruption in our goverment ..

Bitcoin can reduce corruption because it's not about currency, it's about bad people who scaming, lying and taking bribes. Only police can handle this.

if it says reduce corruption is not possible but if it helps the small community with bitcoin is very true and also about the ban Bitcoin in Indonesia gan, the government just forbids bitcoin as a means of payment instead of forbid we have bitcoin, so we are legitimate to have this bitcoin.

A really interesting topic is that human behavior must be changed to prevent corruption. With the simplest example, Bitcoin could not prevent theft, so Bitcoin can not prevent corruption.

I personally don't believe bitcoin reduces corruption, at least until now. It needs better conditions to remove corruiption from the world.
