I don't believe the telegram can play a major role in a crypto developing. It's just a social media resource. If there's wouldn't be telegram something for sure would be instead.

Many projects do it on purpose, but I can not understand why .. It usually happens when something is distributed for free. But in such groups one garbage. A huge amount of stickers and spam. It seems to me that this is causing a negative for investors. This is a mystery to me).

yes, I always judge a project will be successful or not from the number of followers in social media, one of them is telegram, the more interaction between potential investors and developers will be better, this could be one reference to success or failure of a project

telegram is not a benchmark for judging an ICO to be successful or not because telegram is merely a means of liaison for investors, ICO teams and bounty hunters.
usually telegram is used by the ICO team when they have an important announcement for investors, so I think ICO will be successful not from the number of users in an ICO telegram. but from the uniqueness of a technology that will be launched in the ICO, the team is also very influential in determining the ICO will be successful or not.

I feel telegram channels do provide a lot of information about the project development & great way to connect directly with the founders in the open.

It's an interesting measurement and a reward, but I will not invest because it will only make me feel better, because there is a community behind the project.

New measure? Maybe but it is also an indicator. You can see how the ICO's status and how many people are being interested and wanted to be a part of that certain ICO. Having an ICO telegram that have only a few members and doesn't update quite frequently is more likely to fail. You can also see there if the team is really working hard for that certain ICO to achieve.

Actually there is significance that telegram is the new measure of ICO success,because there in you can determine if the development project is successfull or cannot get the hard caps or public sale  in the market.actually joining  telegram is very important,because all you want to know about the result or the status of your joining ICO you can communicate in telegram.

Recently, I also start noticing that the size of ICO telegram channel is used as some indication of investor interest and project prospective as the consequence. Think it is a little bit tricky indicator as small group can actually mean the absence of investor interest and appetite but the bigger number is not necessary mean the greater interest. In fact, it can be the evidence of inappropriate approach to marketing/promotion.

Thats a big ask, to stake the measure of ico success on Telegram alone. Yes it could be a determinant, considering its popularity and convenience, but still its reach is not all pervasive over crypto investors.
