Telegram is the most used chat platform by crypto fans, and especially by the devs and the investors of ICo projects. a good reponsive Telegram channel is always required to see if the project is active, having some potential or not. almost you can't find any successful ICo project without having a successful channel(s) in Telegram.

Correct me if i were wrong,telegram participants are being measured by the ICOhotlist,so if an ICO has more participants in their telegram groups they will be listed to the ICOhotlist which is one of the big ICO review websites,this is to qualify if the ICO has enough participants,because more participants it means the project has higher chance of success. |

Well, a big group on Telegram can be an indicator of success, but also an evidence of scam mentality: you can easily bu fake members in the same way you can buy "likes" on facebook.
So, before to take any decision, much better to analyze deeply the proposal and the solidity of the business that lies behind, without give too much attention to its promotional aspects.

It's certainly a metric that can point towards success, but there are several common denominators for success, and success can mean many different things itself (are you talking about ICOs that raise millions or ICOs that are able to keep to their development roadmap and push out great projects?).
I look at some wonderful projects I'm in and there is not even 1,000 people in their Telegram group. But the few in there are so active, and it just pays to listen in. Others had thousands, and was filled with people asking stupid questions that if you spent just 5 mins you would find answers on website.
Why do you think I've just stopped Telegram?

This is actually becoming disgusting day by day.
we are seeing ICO gurus talking about how big the telegram groups are of new ICOs, however, most of the participants there are from telegram bounty pool.
People must do their research before investing in ICOs, they must check about the implementation of project in real world, the team behind it, there advisory board, there whitepaper and roadmap and not just from the telegram strength.
In any case, gathering a lot of people for whatever reason at least shows that you have managed to build hype around your project. So although the number of people on telegram is not the most important indicator, it is something. |

The key to a successful ICO is multi-factorial and a telegram group or channel is a crucial part of the equation. Having a huge telegram presence is very important as well as a significant determinant on how well a project campaign is progressing. In my opinion, it is a great contributor to the success of an ICO. |

Before Telegram use to play a great influence in the success of some projects but not bots is talking over some of this channel and the numbers to me don't play the big role in investment decision for me again.

I think this is big truth because a mine friend having a telegram channel and also YouTube channel . He is getting better earnings from YouTube by giving sponsor videos but still with that he is also making earnings from telegram from the ICOs promotion . From the advertiser he got a information that they are getting much better no. Of investors from.telegram in bulk amount and from YouTube they are getting few investors only . So here it is better for us that we are going with new social platform that is telegram and telegram is much better for the unlimited people to have channel and also personally I seen that many people are in cryptourrency are connected with telegram Because Thier they can get better information about cryptourrency Because of lots of channels of bitcoin related things are available at telegram . |

Yes all traders are there new ICO are always On telegram and they are making billions of dollars. I think you should try it and ask some question regarding the token you want to purchase.

Actually, I can see why you said that, you can see in their telegram group if their campaign is actually doing well, not only by the perspective of the developers or their team, but also in what other investors and believers are thinking, so in a way we are really having a great insight if the project is doing well or not, but its not a hundred percent accurate, well actually, nothing is, so its better to just keep in touch with project and support the team. |

I don't think so, it's too simple to fake it. So, even if a too small group is an evident sign of failure, a big group doesn't mean necessarily a success.

I think it affects, but indirectly. Because sometimes projects pay people for activity in the chat. Although usually it is noticeable. But we must look at everything in the complex. And this is still not a guarantee of success.

It's not like that, sometimes it can be way to find ico is good or not.
I have been part of icos where they only 300 members but ico was successful and i have seen telegram group with 16000 members but still not successful. For measure ico success going through team and their activity on social networing.

Most of the projects are garbage and do not have an important goal but they have been very successful. Ripple is the example of it. Telegram is not only a popular messenger but also an interesting ico. |
