All EXC address start with P

Code:
PUBKEY_ADDRESS = 55, //Set the address first bit here

The database was cleared and the new data should sync as soon as the blockchain is caught up.

The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the first distributed timestamping system.

I had the guys at btcpool.exchange add a trading pair for EXC on their exchange.
https://btcpool.exchange/market?pair=EXC/BTC

It's got to be more reliable than Bter.

Ohh I see lots of new things happening here, I mined it at the start in Sept, solo even. Have some of it left. I tried to get swisscex to reopen their market, but seems like that exchange is closing down soon.

Anyone has any new nodes= for this coin then?

It appears like BTER opened their doors again. The charts look like they are suspended in time.

I've decided to help the cause and opened a pool for EXC.
http://exc.manhattanmine.com

I have built a Block Explorer for this coin, being that the old one was down.
http://www.cryptoplorer.com:3005/

I've also shot an email to a friend pitching the idea to add EXC to his exchange.

Good luck moving forward. Let me know if there is anything i could do to help.

Thank you so much for giving EXC a pool and a block explorer.

I have already added your block explorer to the website.

As for the addnode for over a year I have been paying £45 a month for a cloud server which was acting as addnodes for several coins and a few services.

The last few months I have had to cut back, as I do Crypto work in my spare time but I have now found a cheaper monthly Linux VPS which I will put EXC onto.

Once it is up and running I will update the OP and just like the old VPS it will be a 24/7 addnode so clients will always get a connection.

Extremecoin will probably end up on Cryptopia eventually once their servers have been upgraded but it is not getting onto an exchange that's the hard part, it is keeping the trading volume high.

Now with EXC we already have the supply of coins at a sensible rate so all we have to do is to create some demand for this long running coin.

This will mean either getting Extremecoin onto an already running merchant payment processor or starting one, once EXC is on a decent and reliable exchange.

I use quite a lot of different types of legal web stores (Game Keys, PSN Codes, etc) that accept Bitcoin, Litecoin and Dogecoin as a method of payment.

I think with the speed of EXC's confirmations, steady but sensible daily block reward total, that these merchants could be persuaded to at least give it a trial run.

If we can get the supply and demand balanced correct then the price / worth of Extremecoin will naturally be determined by people using EXC for online purchases and not just for trading alone.

Another thing that EXC needs is Linux and Mac wallet clients, if anyone can help with the Mac client that would be excellent, I should be able to compile the Linux one, for download and for the VPS.

Does anyone else have any ideas or even comments about what I posted above?

Many thanks and it is glad to see support coming back for a coin I have kept running for around a year and a half now with my Cloud Server and domain hosting costs.

I will never stop supporting a coin I release or abandon it; I am stubborn like that and I want to see EXC up there with the top Crypto-Currencies and that can only be achieved with a team effort all pushing in the same direction and with a huge amount of support behind it all.

Just one last point and this kind of a big one; we need to keep the EXC clients as simple and as user friendly as possible. There are still a large amount of the general public and businesses not willing to even take on PayPal, partly because of their charges but also to do with a lack of understanding how it works.

Getting started You Tube videos like how to setup a client, how to send and receive a payment, how to mine, how to check your transactions progress using a block explorer.

The easier and more simple we make Extremecoin to use as a form of a quick and virtually fee free global payment system, the higher the chances are of general public adoption, at least for online payments to start with.

I will put these on my todo list, i have resources for this.

Also..

I think it would be a great idea to try to team up with mazaclub and see if they could add EXC to the encompass program.
Encompass is a multi currency electrum wallet. They just added VIA and recently DRK.
With an electrum type wallet you can get someone to code a wordpress plugin that will accept EXC.
The good thing about this plug in is that the merchant can run the wallet offsite. Making it secure, incase their website is compromised.
More Info: https://maza.club/encompass

I was supplying power to the pool and it was a bit much, because i was solving every block. I wanted to test the stability and she is good to go. If you have any hashing power feel free to use it. I am going to make the pool fees 0% for this pool. I don't want the pool to go to waste. My resources aren't free, so feel free to Donate.

Let me know your thoughts.

Yeah, you ran the diff. all the way up to 6.2, now it's back to 0.5, so yeah it was a bit much, seems to work fine now, though.

I retired my low hashing equipment. Over the weekend, I pull some of it out of retirement.
Also, I lowered the fees to 0%, i forgot to do it yesterday.

I have the Linux wallet available, just need someone to test it.
If anyone would like to test the Linux wallet for us please PM me.

I am also trying to get the Mac Wallet done. I will keep you posted.

If you have an account, vote for EXC on Cryptopia, not many votes are needed. 4th on the list as of this moment. Wink

Wow, the sudden burst of interest in EXC is extreme but really great to see.

I have continued to host the domain and support the EXC network for what must be over a year and a half now since I released it.

Now it seems to have gathered a new burst of support.

I have updated OP's on both forums and on the website, if I have missed anything off then please let me know and also any new services that pop up.

I guess it could be time to dust off that 5 year EXC development plan I have roughly planned out.

Great work everyone :-)

Last thing, I will be purchasing a dedicated 24/7 addnode again and will post the IP here once up and running.

Another thing, a POS move could never happen, not a pure POS, while that one address has more than 50% of the coins?

Is that BTER's address or BTER's hacker address?

If you need some extra nodes, here are some to try out:

addnode=5.1.83.119
addnode=209.188.18.43
addnode=86.63.39.114

They worked when I posted this, 21:36 CET.
