CoinEX updated to 1.5, but we are not sure when to open the pool...

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Hi there, Would you be able to hold off opening the pool until I can get the client to be labeled as Version 1.5 The main reason is that if it stays how it is, this is going to cause so much confusion having Version 1.5 reading out as Version 1.3 At the moment the seednode is back to version 1.4.

I have sorted the issue.
I will be changing the source code to have the KGW to take effect at block 31800, this will give everyone some time to upgrade to the new version 1.5
This is a mandatory upgrade, once we reach this block, all clients other than Version 1.5 will no longer be able to mine.
I will post a link to the new Version 1.5 Windows client in the next 30 minutes, aswell as update the source code and the website links.
Thanks.

Here is the Windows Version 1.5 New link : https://www.dropbox.com/s/xesvxid9mku1qzo/Extremecoin_V_1.5.rarHere is the link to the source code : https://github.com/CaptChadd/ExtremecoinUrgent / MandatoryAt block 31800 the Kimoto Gravity Well difficulty adjustment algorithm will kick in, due to the unstable block times of version 1.4 this is probably going to happen in the next few hours. All services that use the Extremecoin client MUST update to Version 1.5 before block 31800, if you do not, then any blocks you do mine with any version other than 1.5 will not be valid. Version 1.5 of the Extremecoin client is the ONLY client to be used from block 31800, all other clients at this point will be outdated and will no longer work.Thanks.

the diff of exc has to average out. we unfortunately were throwing 500 mhash at this coin as it has low diff after client upgrade and now diff has to adjust. when more miners are mining this coin and upgraded to 1.5 i think KGW will work well...

Check out the EXC v1.5 P2POOL Here ---> p2pool.neocities.org if you mined past block 31860 before updating, you MUST delete the old blockchain data & resync to the correct chain!!!!! just updating the wallet to v1.5 is not enough. you are on the WRONG blockchain!!!! their block explorer say 31860 is the current last block# http://exc-blocks.pw/the block explorer says 31860 is the current block# For linux users: (1) Extremecoind stop i also had to kill the Extremecoind process with the system monitor (2) You need to go to the ~/.Extremecoin folder DELETE THE OLD BLOCKCHAIN FILES.... ***** DO NOT DELETE YOUR WALLET.DAT !!!!!!!!! ******* ALSO, edit your Extremecoin.conf file and add this to it: addnode=31.193.130.77 (3) Start the EXC wallet and let it sync to the new blockchain (4) use the command : Extremecoind getinfo in a terminal to periodically check the # of blocks you are synced to. hope that helps some folks..... Then come mine on the P2POOL ---> p2pool.neocities.org

Once again, to let everyone know, as I did write it in bold.
Only version 1.5 of Extremecoin is valid as a client.
If you mine with any other version you could lose your coins.
As I said before, this is mandatory.
Thanks

So What happened?
Looking at Coinwarz Extreme coin is now harder to mine than Bitcoin and is the hardest coin to mine of all.
BTer has disabled the coin I sent them 200 coins 4 days ago which are floating around somewhere. I spoke with freeworm from Bter and he was trying to fix that was 4 days ago
Anyone got any answers as to what is going on?

Maybe you don't understand coinwarz. Extremecoin difficulty is 33.4322, which is not that high, i've seen this coin with 512 difficulty. Leafcoin difficulty is 39 and is near the top of coinwarz, Tag is 64. Litecoin difficulty is 3306. Bitcoin difficulty is over 3 billion (though that is sha256 and not really comparable). So coinwarz in no way is saying Extremecoin is "the hardest to mine". It is near the low end of profitability at the moment, but that goes in cycles with the difficulty. BTER as far as I know has not updated to the 1.5 client. That is why they are having problems. They need to fix it. CaptChadd notified them of the update. Once they update your coins should show up there ok.

Thanks for shedding some light on this. I have been in contact with Bter 4 days ago and was told that they have updated to V1.5 but there seems to be a problem. they are waiting to speak to CaptainChadd
This is what I got from Freeworm from Bter
Hi,
We did upgraded several days ago. It seems that we are on the longest chain:
./Extremecoind getinfo { "version" : 1030000, "protocolversion" : 60001, "walletversion" : 60000, "blocks" : 32959, "connections" : 2, "proxy" : "", "difficulty" : 0.50000000, "testnet" : false, "keypoololdest" : 1392044760, "keypoolsize" : 101, "paytxfee" : 0.00010000, "mininput" : 0.00010000, "errors" : "" }
We are currently at block 32959. What about yours?
Best, Lin

They did not update to the latest version. They are on a wrong fork which is why they are so many blocks ahead of the block explorer. Block explorer get info getinfo { "version" : 1050000, "protocolversion" : 60001, "walletversion" : 60000, "balance" : 0.97950000, "blocks" : 32320, "connections" : 4, "proxy" : "", "difficulty" : 33.43216007, "testnet" : false, "keypoololdest" : 1390826086, "keypoolsize" : 101, "paytxfee" : 0.00010000, "mininput" : 0.00010000, "errors" : "" }
