My feeling just changed.  It says COL may trade on Cryptsy this weekend. But my gut is only 60% sure, albeit 90% sure it will trade on Cryptsy in the next few weeks.

I'm locked and loaded so we will see.

nobody will list COL at an exchange as long as there are more than 10,5 BILLION +++!! OR MORE UNCONFIRMED COL in COL-Wallets (see previous post)

nothing is resolved!!

isn't this something that btcltc should resolve? Not being snarky but, what can anyone else do here? btcltc does have a withdrawl limit. maybe mention you didnt know that if/when you email them back.

What part of this do you not understand ?!

From the OP...

Mine at own risk or don't mine at all.

You keep ingnoring this aswell. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=42465.0

I haven't seen anybody post about what would be my biggest worry if I were trying out alternative block chains. I realize this may be perceived as "Gavin is FUD'ding anything that isn't bitcoin!"  (FUD == Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt)  But I think some of you might be forgetting some basic computer security fundamentals in the excitement to be early adopters.

When I first heard about bitcoin, my questions were:

1) Can it possibly work (do the ideas for how it works make sense)?
2) Is it a scam?
3) If it is not a scam, could it open my computer up to viruses/trojans if I run it?

I answered those questions by:

1) Reading and understanding Satoshi's whitepaper.  Then thinking about it for a day or two and reading it again.
2) Finding out everything I could about the project.  I read every forum thread here (there were probably under a hundred threads back then) and read Satoshi's initial postings on the crypto mailing list.
3) Downloaded and skimmed the source code to see if it looked vulnerable to buffer overflow or other remotely exploitable attacks.

If I were going to experiment with an alternative block-chain, I'd go through the same process again. But I'm an old conservative fuddy-duddy.

If you want to take a risk on a brand-new alternative block-chain, I'd strongly suggest that you:

1) Run the software in a virtual machine or on a machine that doesn't contain anything valuable.
2) Don't invest more money or time than you can afford to lose.
3) Use a different passphrase at every exchange site.

Sorry about your bad luck. SHIT HAPPENS ! Grin

Kali, you have gone too far.

People have told you continuously the answers yet your ignorance in ignoring warnings and advice has gone crazy.

I don't see how this is the coin's problem or fault.  Looks to be an issue with btcltc and they have chosen not to address it.

Charlie Kelly: I'm pleading the 5th.  The Attorney: I would advise you do that.  Charlie Kelly: I'll take that advice under cooperation, alright? Now, let's say you and I go toe-to-toe on bird law and see who comes out the victor?  The Attorney: You know, I don't think I'm going to do anything close to that and I can clearly see you know nothing about the law.

Well.. you have part of it right.

Btcltc has nothing to say because there is NOTHING they can or will do about it.

Many/most of us lost mined blocks and TXs. You won't us complaining because WE ARE AWARE OF THE RISKS INVOLVED WHEN DEALING WITH NEW COINS. Grin

Thats because IFC is a scam. Grin Look at that 5 mhash network fly !!

So is DGM.. but we'll leave that for another thread. Smiley

You are either trying too stupid to realize that many blocks and TXs were nullified due to the fork or you are trying to scam/extort COL from muddafudda and btcltc.

Welcome to my ignore list.  Kiss

I had the same problem.  Whatever happened, it seems to be fixed now.  (I think.)

There may be a problem.  I haven't found any new blocks in quite awhile. None since the orphanfest.

something is deff going on.. I have been watching the hashrate go from 60mh's to 260mh's pretty randomly.. And The other pool Scryptmining is down. And noone is finding blocks at botpool. Someone hitting us with some serious hash, or do alot of people solo mine this coin I guess.  Something deff going on at botpool though. IDK if its COL as a whole or just botpool.

I'd like to get muddafudda's opinion.  I always mine solo but I should have found numerous blocks by now since the orphans.  I haven't found any, and the difficulty isn't very high right now.

I've noticed the global hashrate always has seemed to jump around pretty dramatically with this coin though.

Try sending me a couple of COL to this address: pPx73USqbNfYe26ikv4nLqnwMp3xE31a9

Let's see if transactions are working.

just watched the Hash rate jump to over 600mh/s  then back down to 100, then to 300...  Something is up.  If i was guessing Id say someone is fucking with the blockchain.  I thought it was just stuck.. But after seeing so much hash appear and dissapear so many times, (it usually only sticks around for about 5 min or less) Im not sure. I check ed Crypsy and whatnot for muddafudda but will just have to wait for him to weigh in on this.
